Abstract

The development of the Corona virus or COVID-19 in Indonesia is still developing until now. The best way of prevention to avoid the factors that can cause this viral infection, one of which is routine hand washing with soap and water or hand sanitizer. The problem is hand sanitizer that exist now always using hand power to squeeze or spray them like holding/pressing, we can think if this hand sanitizer is for the public, how many hundred hands of different people will hold it, and of course this actually causes infected with the Corona virus. Aim of the study is make two in one equipment (hand sanitizer and handdryer automatic), which means that the equipment can be used for hand sanitizer without having to hold/press/squeeze the hand sanitizer and also have the dryer. The results obtained when the fingers are closer to the hand sanitizer, it will release the liquid in ± 3 seconds, and if the liquid is a gel it will come out in about ± 5 seconds. For the handdryer, it takes ± 2 seconds to remove the hot air.

Abstract

Teknik penyambungan ini merupakan salah satu teknik penambalan terhadap benda kerja khususnya material berbahan komposit. Pada penelitian ini material yang digunakan ialah bumper mobil dan spakbor sepeda motor dengan bahan dasar dari fiberglass dan plastik. Fiberglass yang digunakan yaitu type E-Glass, C-Glass, S-Glass. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Balai Latihan Kerja Surabaya yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara penyambungan dan kekuatan sambungan bumper mobil dan spakbor sepeda motor yang sudah patah/rusak dengan menggunakan metode penambalan (Patching) pada bahan atau material komposit bermatrik polimer / Polymer Matrix Composite dan menganalisa hasil uji bending pada material komposit bermatriks polimer serta mengetahui komposisi teroptimum antara matrik dan penguatnya untuk dapat disambung secara Patching pada bahan atau material komposit bermatrik polimer / Polymer Matrix Composite dan material mana yang memiliki hasil uji bending tertinggi. Berdasarkan uji bending yang dilakukan, menunjukkan hasil kekuatan tertinggi didapatkan dari bahan spakbor sepeda motor yang berbahan fiberglass dengan penambal fiberglass dan resin polyester.

Abstract

A dehumidifier is a device for drying air by releasing moisture. A dehumidifier with a thermoelectric cooler has the advantage of being more compact and has the potential to be combined with an air heater. This study aimed to determine the effect of thermoelectric power and airflow on air temperature and relative humidity. The research method uses direct experiments with six pieces of thermoelectric as a coolant. The data taken are the cooler surface temperature, the air temperature that is dried, and the humidity of the air. The test results show that the dried air temperature can reach 25.6oC with 78% humidity in environmental conditions with an ambient air temperature of 31oC.

Abstract

Heat treatment carried out on steel materials will have an effect on the hardness and changes in metal structure in iron or steel. The addition of this hardness depends on the type of steel material used, temperature, and the cooling medium used such as oil, air, and water. In this study, the hardness of the iron cutting knife was increased through a heat treatment process to determine the effect of the hardness of the cutting knife on the result of cutting a 2 mm iron plate. The test object is a cutting knife which will be heated to a temperature of 850°C, cooled using SAE 35 oil. The test results show that the harder the cutting knife, the smaller the angle of inclination of the 2 mm plate..

Abstract

Clear water that has been processed into ready to drink in Sumbegedang Pasuruan village cannot yet be distributed to the local village community or other villages, because there is still no equipment for the process of packaging clean ready-to-drink water. Therefore, in this Community Service Activity, a semi-automatic plastic cup sealing machine was made with the sealing mechanism run by a driving dynamo (AC motor) with a push button connected to a microcontroller as the trigger. This Community Service activity is a continuation of Community Service activities in the village of Sumbergedang, Pasuruan which has abundant clear water originating from Mount Penanggungan and has been processed into clean water ready to drink. Clean water that has been placed in a plastic glass container, then for the future can be produced or distributed to the local village community or other villages. Automatic components used for the manufacture of semi-automatic cup sealer machines are PCB, ATMEGA48V-10PU IC, step down transformer, thermostat, heater, digital counter, push button, timer potentiometer, limit switch, relay, PCB cable, motor AC. The machine is only used for one size of 7 oz glass. A machine operation test was carried out to find out if this semi-automatic cup sealer machine met the machine's standard results. Furthermore, an introduction was made along with the process of operating this semi-automatic plastic cup sealing machine to the people of Sumbergedang Pasuruan village. The results show that this semi-automatic cup sealer can be used in the field and for the process of packing clean, ready to drink water in Sumbergedang Village, Pasuruan.

Abstract

The trolley equipment that is typically used in malls or stores cannot be folded or bent to take up enough space for you to move it anyplace. Because using Solidworks software, the goal of this research is to develop a collapsible trolley. The Von Misses stress test was used to test folding and general purpose trolley frames for loads of 35 kgf, 245 kgf, and 875 kgf. According to the findings at a weight of 35 kgf, typical goods carts have a greater Von Misses stress of 796.6e+008N/m2. A regular goods trolley's high Von Misses stress is 7966e+009N/m2 at a weight of 245 kgf. On conventional goods trolleys, the Von Misses stress reaches 962.4e+009N/m2 at the maximal load, which is 875 kgf. Because folding trolleys use hollow iron, which is lighter, it follows that standard goods trolleys have a higher strength than folding trolleys, albeit folding trolleys are considerably more effective.

Abstract

Until now, manual trolleys that are used for goods or as a tool to help move goods from one place to another still use human power, The difference in the design of the trolley that I made and the trolley that is usually used at my research site is that the trolley can be folded which has the advantage of being a place to put the trolley and easy to carry the trolley either in two-wheeled vehicles or in four-wheeled vehicles. This research is based on ideas from the results of research in work areas such as malls, and minimarkets. The folding trolley that is being made at this time can withstand a compressive load test of up to 875kg with one damaged component, namely a broken wheel, while in a medium compressive load test of 245kg with a safe wheel condition there is no damage to the component but the occurrence of curvature on the middle of the trolley, the folding trolley which previously had a height from the tile to the bottom limit of the trolley which was 9cm and when given a moderate compressive load test of 245kg there was a bend of 0.3cm which means the current trolley height is 8.7cm and a low compressive load test was carried out with a loading press 35kg to 105kg the folding trolley does not change in height, which means the trolley is still 9cm. The final results show that this folding trolley can be used in the field.

Abstract

The main obstacle that UMKM SA has is limited production technology which is still manual so that workers take a long time and production results are not good because the thickness of the crackers is uneven and the sizes cannot match. So it is necessary to design a cracker-making machine by making a printing roll tool. The design method uses the manufacturing process method which is based on the cutting process and has a different perspective from the previous thing. Where the researcher analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the product to be made, has an overview of the product to be made by taking samples of material sources and data from the analysis that has been carried out directly to the resource persons as well as by analyzing the processes that have been carried out. The results of the study are from data analysis of the cracker dough cutting machine with the selected concept, it can be said to be effective with a faster time record in each test, good efficiency and effectiveness of the first tool requires an average time of 03:80 to 01:12 with cracker dough size 46x46x1 totaling 121 pieces.

Abstract

Practical work is a form of educational and vocational organization that is participated in by students so that students can work directly in the world of business, industry or fabrication. Practical work aims to prepare students to become productive people and be able to work directly in their respective fields. Students can also experience the production atmosphere experienced by professional engineering in a factory. This research process requires several materials and equipment as equipment in the design process as well as several methods. data collection and problem formulation in the form of morphological design. The method for repairing the screw extruder is re-poking the screw thread area which was proposed by the customer technician who said that the screw thread area was starting to wear out so it needed to be rejuvenated. Maintenance Preventive Maintenance. Re-priming or rejuvenating the threaded part because the threaded part has started to wear out. For example, in scheduling, for screw components until now there has been no regular maintenance or replacement to overcome damage. After the time of re-positioning the screw enters the turning stage to smooth the surface before the unevenness of the re-positioning or CV. Sumber Agung Widodo is a company that has complete manufacturing equipment that can produce various kinds of spare parts from various kinds of production machines. Various problems that often occur have an impact on the ongoing production process. Some of the causes include not only material factors, but human resource factors also influence production quality.

Abstract

Drinking water is good water and can be in natural form or processed like sea water for desalination, itmust meet the drinking water standards set. Drinking water standards are divided into ordinary water, mineral water, natural mineral water and bottled water. AMDK is drinking water that has been treated, packaged and is safe for direct consumption in accordance with industrial standards in Indonesia. Manufacturing machines including glass, bottle and gallon filling machines often experience product defects outside the planned schedule and machine damage causes production to stop, thereby reducing machine performance and suggestions and input for improvements so that it can run as desired.
