Abstract

Reading plays a crucial role in acquiring information and knowledge. Through reading, students can gain a better understanding of information or knowledge. Thus, reading comprehension becomes an essential aspect that educators, researchers, and educational observers must pay attention to and implement according to the students' needs. The purpose of this research is to improve students' reading comprehension skills through the SQ3R model based on the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in Indonesian language narrative texts for fifth-grade students at SD N 3 Bancarkembar. This study falls under the category of Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects consisted of 33 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through both tests and non-tests methods and subsequently analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the research indicate a significant improvement in reading comprehension skills in each cycle. The achievement rate in the pre-cycle was 32%, then increased to 62% in Cycle I, and further improved to 97% in Cycle II. These findings demonstrate that the use of the SQ3R model based on the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach enhances the reading comprehension skills of fifth-grade students at SD N 3 Bancarkembar

Abstract

The presence of the Science subject has the potential to develop students' capabilities and foster critical thinking skills through both conceptual knowledge and experiments. However, not all knowledge about the universe can be easily comprehended, as many Science learning materials are abstract, requiring students to invest time in absorbing such information. The aim of this research is to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in the topic of changes in the state of matter at SDN 3 Bancarkembar. This study falls under the category of Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consist of 17 fourth-grade students. Learning outcome data were collected through tests and subsequently analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the research indicate an improvement in learning outcomes related to the topic of unit length in each cycle. The average score in Cycle I was 60.57 and increased to 82.35 in Cycle II. These findings demonstrate that the use of the STAD model integrated with a scientific approach can enhance learning achievement in the topic of unit length in fourth-grade students at SDN 3 Bancarkembar

The objective of this research is to improve the learning achievement of Grade VI students at SD N 3 Bancarkembar regarding ASEAN through the integration of gamified problem-based learning. This study falls under the category of Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects consist of 21 students in Class VI-B. Data were collected through multiple-choice tests and subsequently analyzed using descriptive statistics. The research results demonstrate an improvement in learning achievement in each cycle. The pre-cycle achievement rate was 9.52% with an average score of 31.43, while in Cycle 1, it increased to 57.14% with an average score of 74.5, and in Cycle 2, it reached 66.66% with an average score of 79.57.
