Abstract

Protection of war victims is an important issue due to the fact thatthere will always be crimes and violations to the things protected bythe law of war. Israeli military action toward Palestine is not onlyinterfering the security of Palestinians, but also obstructing thedistribution of humanitarian assistance for the victims of war.Established in 1968 and acquired mandate from the Government ofPalestine, Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), as underbow ofInternational Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), attempts to protectPalestinians as victims of war based on the rules of GenevaConventions 1949. Between 2002 until 2009, there were three militaryactions had been done by Israeli toward Palestine which increased thenumber of Palestinian war victims. This thesis is an explorative typeof research aimed to analyse challenges faced by Palestine RedCrescent Society in protecting Palestinian war victims between 2002until 2009. The result of this research showed that the most affectingchallenge came from external factor, that was the bureaucracy ofIsraeli military.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: UNESCO membuat suatu kerangka global untuk menghadapi tantangan keberlanjutan hidup yaitu Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) atau pendidikan untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan gaya hidup berkelanjutan bagi siswa SLB C Putra Mandiri. Metode: Metode pengabdian ini dilakukan pada 15 siswa dengan media kerajinan shibori. Hasil: Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif kegiatan ini terhadap siswa SLB C Putra Mandiri. Kesimpulan: Pengenalan sustainable lifestyle melalui kerajinan shibori diharapkan mampu mengenalkan dan membentuk karakter siswa SLB C Putra Mandiri untuk lebih peduli dengan lingkungannya.

Abstract

This research examines the phenomenon of democratization at the local level. The political celebration in 2024 is an interesting momentum to see how the dynamics of democratization at the local level. Democracy is a post-reform common spirit that needs to be guarded and improved by various parties, including civil society organizations such as NU and Muhammadiyah. This research aims to obtain an overview and analysis of how the role and existence of NU and Muhammadiyah in contributing to maintaining the quality of community-oriented democracy, especially at the local level. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with interview techniques by interviewing several informants and literature and data analysis techniques to analyze the electoral dynamics of NU and Muhammadiyah. The results of research on the role of NU and Muhammadiyah in the contestation of the 2024 presidential election show that political contestation cannot be separated from the influence of NU and Muhammadiyah. The modalities owned by the two largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia still provide a real influence in the electoral process and have implications for the existence of mass organizations. The close affiliation with political parties, especially between Muhammadiyah and the National Mandate Party in Salatiga, also creates strong political relations electorally. Likewise, NU, which has elite-directed solidarity, also increases its existence in the face of political contestation.

Abstract

The Kepulauan Riau Province, despite its significant industrial potential, faces economic disparity between regions due to its archipelagic geography. This study aims to identify strategies for establishing new industrial growth centers that can attract investment and reduce regional disparities. The approach employed includes the analysis of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and the application of several analytical methods, namely Shift-Share, Location Quotient (LQ), and Multiplier Effect. The results of the analysis indicate that establishing an industrial growth center in Natuna Regency, which possesses abundant natural resources, particularly in the fisheries and energy sectors, is a strategic step to stimulate economic growth and reduce regional disparities. The selection of this growth center location also aligns with the principles outlined by François Perroux regarding the characteristics of growth poles

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji persepsi mahasiswi Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) terhadap globalisasi dan dampaknya terhadap masuknya barang impor. Menggunakan metode penelitian campuran (mixed methods) dengan desain kuesioner dan wawancara mendalam, studi ini membedah bagaimana mahasiswi sebagai representasi konsumen perempuan di negara berkembang memposisikan diri di tengah arus pasar global. Penelitian ini mengungkap temuan utama yaitu sikap adaptif-defensif sebagai bentuk pengambilan keputusan. Sikap adaptif tercermin dari keterbukaan terhadap kemajuan teknologi dan kualitas produk global demi peningkatan kapasitas intelektual serta kemandirian ekonomi yang selaras dengan perspektif feminisme liberal. Secara bersamaan muncul sikap defensif yang dimanifestasikan melalui kesadaran kritis untuk membatasi konsumsi barang impor guna melindungi kedaulatan ekonomi lokal, sejalan dengan kekhawatiran feminisme marxis dan post kolonial. Penelitian ini menawarkan perspektif baru dengan mengungkap kontradiksi antara kecenderungan impulsif dengan tanggung jawab intelektual mahasiswi terhadap ketahanan ekonomi nasional. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi pada literatur globalisasi ekonomi dengan mengonstruksi profil mahasiswi sebagai aktor ekonomi yang berdaya dan mampu memilih secara bijak.
