Abstract

Diversity of biological resources in primary forest is not only limited to the woody plant species, but also covered by underground plant which has diverse species high diversity. This underground plant as one part of the forest ecosystem is a plant that has potential as a medicine. The study aims to conduct an inventory of underground plant species in Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park West Java Province. The method for inventory used spasial analysis with land management unit and multi stage sampling. The spasial analysis used three categories, first the zonation map, second the soil characterization map and the third altitude map. The LMU consist of 6 areas with total plot number 60. The results showed there are 83 species underground plant consist of 45 family. The family consist of Acanthaceae, Annonaceae, Apiaceae, Apocynaceae, Araceae, Araliaceae, Aspleniaceae, Asteraceae, Balsaminaceae, Begoniaceae, Compositae, Convolvulaceae, Cucurbitaceae, Cyperaceae, Elaeagnaceae, Equisetaceae, Fabaceae, Gesneriaceae, Gramineae, Hypoxidaceae, Lamiaceae, Malvaceae, Marattiaceae, Melastomataceae, Menispermaceae, Moraceae, Musaceae, Myrsinaceae, Oxalidaceae, Passifloraceae, Piperaceae, Plantaginaceae, Polygalaceae, Primulaceae, Rosaceae, Rubiaceae, Sellagineaeeae, Smilaceae, Solanaceae, Symplocaceae, Urticaceae, Verbenaceae, Woodsiaceae, Zingiberaceae. Abstract

Belaban Ella Village is one of the villages that meets daily needs by utilizing forest resources. Burning land clearance is the cheapest and most convenient way to meet basic demands. Forest fires may be started by the clearing of land, particularly in the dry season. The aim of this community service activity is to educate, particularly the student at SMPN 6 Belaban Ella Village, about the risks, prevent, and control the forest fires. The activities were carried out face to face at the village hall, Belaban Ella Village, Menukung District, Melawi Regency. The interactive lecture method was used to deliver knowledge to 31 participants. In the course of the activity, a questionnaire is used for monitoring and evaluation. The results of the questionnaire showed that participants' understanding increased by 94% after delivering knowledge related to forest fire prevention and control. The participants were excited to participate in the exercise because of the interactive way in which the content was delivered. By learning about the prevention and control of forest fires, students may develop a greater awareness of environmental issues and help to reduce the number of forest fires.

Abstract

The kepuak bark clothing has been used by people in Kalimantan, especially the Dayak tribe. Kepuak bark clothing is one of the cultures of the community, including the people of Belaban Ella village. Kepuak bark clothing is only used on certain occasions because of its stiff and rough texture. The purpose of this service activity is to convey information regarding the benefits of whiting as a softening agent for kepuak bark in Belaban Ella Village, Menukung District, Melawi Regency. The service activity was attended by 31 participants. Monitoring and evaluation of activities in the form of questionnaires was carried out before and after the activity. The questionnaire results showed that the understanding community increased after deliver of the knowledge. The insight of community was enhanced by utilizing whiting to soften the kepuak bark for clothing. The use of kepuak can maintain community culture. Kepuak bark-whiting soaked has potential to be used as clothing that can be ysed daily because has softer texture, can improve the economy, and encourage the community to protect the forest by planting more kepuak trees.

Abstract

West Kalimantan is one of the provinces in Indonesia which has various types of tribes, one of the tribes in West Kalimantan is the Dayak. Dayak tribe is known for its unique culture in their daily life. One of the Dayak tribes in West Kalimantan is the Dayak Kerambai Atas tribe in Raut Muara Village, Sekayam District, Sanggau Regency. Dayak Kerambai Atas tribe has a relatively high dependence on forests, where natural resources in the forest are used to meet their daily needs. The Kerambai Atas Dayak community still uses forest products in the form of animals that are used for medicinal purposes. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the animals species, Processing, utilization and conservation status that used for Medecine by Dayak Kerambai Atas community. The method used in this study was a survey method, the selection of respondents was carried out using snowball sampling techniques and data collection using a questionnaire. This study obtained 10 selected respondents and obtained 28 species of animals from 19 families that were used for treatment by the Upper Dayak Kerambai Atas Community. The parts used are the whole body and flesh, blood, fat, feces, bile, tongue, fur, horns.Keywords: Ethnozoology, Medicine, Upper Kerambai DayakAbstrakKalimantan Barat merupakan salah satu Provinsi di Indonesia yang memiliki beragam jenis suku, salah satu suku yang ada di Kalimantan Barat adalah Suku Dayak. Suku Dayak terkenal memiliki keunikan budaya dalam kehidupan sehari-harinya. Salah satu Suku Dayak yang terdapat di Kalimantan Barat yaitu Suku Dayak Kerambai Atas di Desa Raut Muara Kecamatan Sekayam Kabupaten Sanggau. Suku Dayak Kerambai Atas memiliki ketergantungan yang relatif tinggi pada hutan, dimana sumber daya alam yang ada di hutan dimanfaatkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya. Masyarakat Dayak Kerambai Atas masih memanfaatkan hasil hutan berupa satwa yang dimanfaatkan untuk pengobatan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendata jenis satwa yang dimanfaatkan untuk pengobatan dan cara pemanfaatan serta proses pengolahan oleh suku Dayak Kerambai Atas di Desa Raut Muara Kabupaten sanggau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei, pemilihan responden dilakukan dengan teknik snowball sampling dan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner. Penelitian ini diperoleh 10 responden terpilih dan memperoleh 28 jenis satwa dari 19 famili yang dimanfaatkan untuk pengobatan oleh Masyarakat Dayak Kerambai Atas. Bagian yang dimanfaatkan adalah seluruh badan dan daging, darah, lemak, kotoran (taik), empedu, lidah, bulu, tanduk.Kata kunci : Etnozoologi, Pengobatan, Dayak Kerambai Atas

Abstract

Family medicinal plants (TOGA) are a form of traditional medicine still used independently by the community, especially by people living on the city's outskirts. Tebang Kacang Village is one of the villages within the administrative area of Kubu Raya Regency, but it is located on the outskirts of Pontianak. This research aims to analyze the use of family medicinal plants in the Tebang Kacang Village community, which is close to the provincial capital and has easy access to modern health facilities. A total of 311 respondents selected using purposive sampling were interviewed in-depth and with a questionnaire as a guide. They were asked about the use of family medicinal plants.The study results show that the people of Tebang Kacang Village still use medicinal plants, especially plants planted and cultivated around their home gardens and gardens or what is known as TOGA. The community used 75 species of plants belonging to 38 plant families. These plants are used not only to treat various diseases but also to care for people's health. The community also uses this family of medicinal plants as food in the form of vegetables and fruit. The people of Tebang Kacang Village mostly use the leaves (45%) and fruit (20%) of TOGA to make medicinal concoctions. These medicinal concoctions are generally prepared by grabbing (51.14%) and used by drinking (53.93%). This research shows that even though this village is relatively close to urban areas, people still choose to use medicinal plants to treat various diseases and maintain health. TOGA is the first choice of treatment.
