Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan visual schedule dapat menurunkan gejala kecemasan anak Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) menjalani pemeriksaan medis ke dokter gigi. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini bahwa ada penurunan gejala kecemasan anak Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) menjalani pemeriksaan medis ke dokter gigi setelah dilakukan penerapan visual schedule . Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah tiga orang dengan kriteria anak yang sudah didiagnosa mengalami ADHD dengan perilaku kecemasan menjalani pemeriksaan medis ke dokter gigi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen dengan one group pretest and posttest. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah Behavior Checklist. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dan analisis kualitatif. Analisis kuantitatif dalam penelitian ini berupa analisis individual dengan menggunakan deskripsi grafik, sedangkan analisis kualitatif berupa hasil deskripsi observasi dan wawancara selama penelitian. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efek penerapan cognitivebehaviouraltherapy (CBT) untuk menurunkan gejala-gejala generalized anxiety disorder(GAD) pada remaja. Subjek penelitian ini adalah remaja berusia 16 tahun yangmempunyai satu atau lebih gejala-gejala GAD. Penelitian ini menggunakan single subject design dengan ABA-Follow Up design. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah skala self-report yang disusun berdasarkan gejala-gejala padakriteria diagnostik GAD. Analisis data gejala-gejala GAD ini dilihat dari grafik hasil baseline, treatment, baseline, dan follow up. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis diterima, bahwa penerapan CBT dapat menurunkan gejala-gejala GAD pada remaja.Save to Mendeley

Abstract

Background: Intellectual disability is one of the developmental disorders that showing a delay in self-care skills that need to decrease the physical dependence of children to adults. Children with moderate intellectual disability could show diffe­rences in developmental and level of self-care skills that affected of few factors. The aim of the study is to explore the self-care skills of children with moderate intellectual disability on feeding, dres­sing, toileting, and self-hygiene, and factors that affect these skills.Subjects and Method: This was a qua­lita­tive stu­dy with case study ap­proach. A total of five sub­jects with moderate intellectual disability aged 7-12 years was selected for this study. The data were collected from eleven parents and teachers by interview. All data were analyzed by content analysis.Results: All five subjects have different levels of each of the self-care skills and get help from teachers or parents in some of these activities. The amount of help is influenced by internal fac­tors such as physical and motor problems as indi­ca­ted by observations of subject 2. External fac­tors that are found are parental roles, self-care practicing methods, and differences in parent attitudes. Behavioral problems factor such as aggressive, self-harm, and social withdrawal was not found. Self-care programs and the coordi­nation of parents and school as external factors were only found in subject 2 and 4.Conclusion: All five subjects showed varying abilities of the self-care skills and internal and external factors that affect these skills.Keywords: moderate intellectual disability, self-care skills, factorsCorrespondence: Heni Gerda Pesau. Abstract

Adolescence contributes to the formation of personality in a person. Violence against adolescents is also a national problem in Indonesia today. Actions carried out by adolescents who are also students refer to impulsive behavior, shallow feelings, recklessness, as well as superiority and hostility which refer to the dark triad of personality. One of the factors that influence the dark triad of personality is emotional intelligence. Another factor that influences the dark triad of personality is the environment. Family is one of the environmental conditions that can contribute to the formation of one's personality so that bonding from parents contributes to adolescent behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and parental bonding to the dark triad of personality in students at X High School in the city of Semarang. This research method uses a correlational quantitative approach with a total of 352 participants. The measuring instruments used in this study were the short dark triad (SD3), the parental bonding instrument (PBI), and the Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale (SEIS). The analysis carried out in this study used multiple regression analysis with SPSS version 26. The results in this study found that there was an effect of the variables of emotional intelligence and parental bonding simultaneously on the dark triad of personality in X High School students in the city of Semarang.

Abstract

The study aimed to use role-play techniques to determine aggressive behavior in physical aggression (hitting and pushing) and verbal aggression (teasing and yelling) by children toward other children. The study used a quasi-experimental method, with a single case, with an A-B-A design, then this data was processed with descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing with a pre-post-test design, with a comparative test of baseline scores one and 2. Processing with hypothesis testing with Wilcoxon signed test. Participants in the study were six boys aged 9-11 years (M = 10.9, SD 1.2) and students in grades 4-5 SD. The results of the descriptive analysis above show a decrease in aggressive behavior scores at each stage of the intervention, both physical and verbal aggressiveness. The results of testing the hypothesis using the analysis program SPSS Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed a Z value of -3.066 at a significance level of p <.001. This means that the hypothesis is accepted, meaning there is a significant decrease in the scores of aggressive behavior before and after the intervention with the role-play technique.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly brought many psychosocial stressors, however, some previous studies found that some patients who have recovered from COVID-19 show positive growth psychologically. This study aims to investigate the relationship between psychological well-being, post-traumatic growth, and stress appraisal in COVID-19 survivors. Psychological Well-Being Scale 18 items, Post-Traumatic Growth Inventory, and Stress Appraisal Measure were translated into Bahasa Indonesia prior to the data collection. Those three instruments then were completed online by 136 COVID-19 survivors, ages varied between 18 years old to the elderly have confirmed COVID-19 with severe symptoms. Statistical analysis was conducted to test the hypothesis of the current study. Results show that there is no significant difference in PWB, PTG, and SA levels regarding sex, age groups, and educational background respectively. The correlation between PTG and PWB in COVID-19 survivors was found to be positively significant (r=.241;p=.005). Path analysis reveals that Post Traumatic Growth only plays a mediating role in the relationship between the dimensions of Centrality and PWB and Uncontrollable and PWB. Discussion on how different dimensions of stress appraisal affect how post-traumatic growth plays a mediating role towards better well-being among COVID-19 survivors in Indonesia is elaborated further. Abstract

Procrastination is the habit of purposeful delay and the avoidance of tasks that are inherently unnecessary. In the realm of education, this behavior is identified as academic procrastination. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-regulated learning, task aversiveness, and academic procrastination among high school students enrolled in the Affirmative Education Program (abbreviated into: ADEM). The hypotheses of the study are as follows: 1) Major Hypothesis: There is a relationship between self-regulated learning and task aversiveness with academic procrastination among ADEM students; 2) First Minor Hypothesis: There is a negative relationship between self-regulated learning and academic procrastination among ADEM students; 3) Second Minor Hypothesis: There is a negative relationship between task aversiveness and academic procrastination among ADEM students. Participants in this research were 44 eleventh and twelfth-grade ADEM students selected through Incidental Sampling technique. Data collection involved the use of scales measuring academic procrastination, self-regulated learning, and task aversiveness. Data analysis included the application of the double correlation analysis technique to test the major hypothesis and the Product Moment analysis to test the minor hypotheses. The results reveal a correlation coefficient (R= 0.732, p<0.01) between self-regulated learning, task aversiveness, and academic procrastination, supporting the acceptance of the major hypothesis. Furthermore, the analysis of the first minor hypothesis indicates a significant negative relationship between self-regulated learning and academic procrastination (rx1y = 0.645, p<0.01), while the second minor hypothesis shows a significant negative relationship between task aversiveness and academic procrastination (rx2y= 0.698, p<0.01). In conclusion, the minor hypotheses of the study are accepted.

Abstract

The main problem that will cause the marriage rate to fall in 2024 is the factor of infidelity, and Indonesia is number two in cases of infidelity in Asia. There are two choices that a wife must make to her husband, namely whether the wife will accept him back or terminate her marriage or divorce. The process of a wife continuing to accept the situation and surviving her husband's affair is a process of resilience. The method used in this research is qualitative research using a phenomenological approach which conducted research on three wives who experienced infidelity, worked alone and still maintained their marriage. The results of the research show that the three subjects have good resilience, because they have reasons to remain resilient, there is a process for the subject to become resilient, forms of resilience and factors that influence them to have good resilience.

Abstract

Pada masa perkembangan anak usia dini peran lingkungan sangat dibutuhkan terutama dalam hal stimulasi agar anak usia dini dapat berkembang secara optimal. Pengasuhan dalam keluarga merupakan hal penting yang perlu diperhatikan untuk memberikan pengasuhan yang terbaik pada anak usia dini. Psikoedukasi positive parenting pada orangtua di Paud Belia Semarang bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman, pengetahuan dan penerapan positive parenting dalam meningkatkan kemandirian pada anak usia dini di Paud Belia Semarang. Psikoedukasi positive parenting dalam meningkatkan kemandirian pada Anak usia dini bagi orangtua dilakukan dalam 7 bagian utama yaitu bagian satu berisi pemahaman tentang tugas perkembangan anak , bagian kedua materi Kemandirian pada anak usia dini dan tugas pengamatan orangtua tentang kemandirian anak (tugas pengamatan dilakukan dirumah) bagian ketiga pemetaan perilaku bermasalah (role Play), bagian keempat penjelasan tentang positive parenting, bagian lima strategi meningkatkan kemandirian anak , bagian keenam kalimat positif, orangtua melakukan role play . Bagian ketujuh tehnik modifikasi perilaku meningkatkan kemandirian. Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan memberikan Psikoedukasi. Partisipan dalam psikoedukasi yang dilakukan berjumlah sebanyak 14 orang ibu. Kegiatan Pengabdian ini dievaluasi dengan menggunakan model pengukuran pretest dan posttest. Berdasarkan uji statistik nonparametrik the Wilcoxon Ranked Test diketahui bahwa psikoedukasi positive parenting untuk meningkatkan kemandirian anak usia dini dengan menggunakan strategi modifikasi perilaku tidak meningkatkan kemandirian anak secara signifikan. (z=1,564 dengan p=0,118).

Abstract

Loneliness is a mental health threat often linked to low self-esteem, which can stem from poor parental attachment in childhood. This study examines the indirect relationship between parental attachment and loneliness through self-esteem, as well as the direct relationship. Conducted at SMP Kanisius Kudus with 128 participants, the research used the IPPA (Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment), R-SES (Rosenberg Self-esteem), and UCLA Loneliness Scale. Mediation analysis in JASP 17.0 revealed a significant indirect negative relationship between parental attachment and loneliness through self-esteem (estimate = -0.171, p = 0.001), but no direct relationship (estimate = -0.138, p = 0.120). This indicates that self-esteem fully mediates the connection between parental attachment and loneliness. The results of this study provide knowledge about the important role of self-esteem in the negative relationship between parental attachment and loneliness.Loneliness menjadi salah satu ancaman kesehatan mental yang dapat menyebabkan beberapa gangguan mental yang lain. Loneliness selalu terkait dengan self-esteem yang rendah. Perkembangan self-esteem yang rendah dapat disebabkan oleh parental attachment yang buruk sedari kecil. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui untuk mengetahui mengetahui hubungan negatif antara parental attachment dan loneliness secara tidak langsung melalui self-esteem dan secara langsung. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Kanisius Kudus. Teknik sampling yaitu, purposive sampling. Total partisipan adalah 128 partisispan. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah IPPA (Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment), R-SES (Rosenberg Self-esteem), dan UCLA Loneliness Scale. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif mediasi sederhana dengan analysis mediation from JASP 17.0. Hasil dari analisis mediasi adalah terdapat hubungan negatif pada variabel parental attachment dan loneliness secara tidak langsung melalui self-esteem dengan niliai estimasi -171 serta p = 0.001 (p < 0,001). Namun, hasil lain menunjukan tidak berbehubungan secara langsung dengan nilai estimasi -138 serta p= 0.120. Hal ini berarti hubungan terbentuk dengan mediasi penuh dari self-esteem. Hasil dalam penelitian ini memberikan pengetahuan pentingnya peran self-esteem dalam hubungan negatif parental attachment dan loneliness.
