Abstract

The progress of the digital world influences the structure of religious discourse. The development of religious discourse in digital space, especially social media, has run wild without control. One-sided truth claims are getting stronger. So Khaled Abou el-Fadl's offer deserves consideration, namely the morality of discourse as the authority for religious discourse on social media. This research focuses on how the morality of discourse can be used as a basis for the power of religious discourse on social media. This research is descriptive-qualitative, which is a conceptual study using library data. Through a holistic approach, the reference data is analyzed through data reduction and data presentation. The data presented are adapted to relevant perspectives, interpreted based on theories, classified into concepts, and narrated in a new understanding of the phenomenon under study. As a result, discourse morality procedures in the authority structure of religious discourse on social media need to be upheld so that belief in God as the highest authority is not replaced by unilateral claims. In addition, the morality of discourse can also be the basis for government policies to regulate and limit religious discourse discussed on social media.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the cosmological values in the life of the To Cerekang indigenous community. Local wisdom and environmental issues are closely intertwined in the lives of indigenous communities. This research is a descriptive qualitative study with a cosmological study approach. Several stages of data collection such as observation, interviews, and documentation are employed. In the data analysis stage, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions are conducted. Cosmological values in the conservation efforts of the To Cerekang indigenous community can be seen in various forms such as understanding of the universe, ecosystem interconnectedness, awareness of environmental vulnerability, and commitment to preservation. The To Cerekang indigenous community's understanding of the universe includes the function of ancestral values passed down to subsequent generations. Regarding ecosystem interconnectedness in the To Cerekang indigenous community's life, it is evident in the balanced interaction between humans and their environment. This also relates to the To Cerekang indigenous community's awareness of environmental vulnerability, demonstrated by their collective responsibility to protect various natural resources within their customary areas. This is accompanied by the To Cerekang indigenous community's commitment to environmental preservation, as shown by the commitment of each individual to adhere to all applicable customary rules.

Abstract

Abstract

Starch grains in archaeological sites are essential to reveal the use of plants and human subsistence. This paper aims to provide reference to starch grain from local food plants originating from Papua Island. We use two methods for extracting samples: starch grains from raw and processed plant samples. We examine the starch grains using a 400x magnification polarisation microscope and ICSN 2011 to identify them. The morphological and morphotypological characteristics of starch grain from each plant are determined by applying univariate and multivariate statistical analysis. The results showed changes in the structure of the starch grain from the processed plant samples. The starch grains from the raw plant samples had different morphological and morphotypical characteristics. Variations in the shape and morphometry of starch grains are associated with typical starch from certain plants. This study provides a practical reference for identifying starch grains from archaeological sites, such as the Atiat and Karas sites.
