Abstract

Abstract; Ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi terutama pada zaman modern ini, mengalami banyak perubahan dan sangat cepat, sedang agama bergerak dengan lamban sekali, karena itu terjadi ketidak harmonisan antara agama dan ilmu pengetahuan serta teknologi. Dalam ensiklopedi Agama dan filsafat dijelaskan bahwa Islam adalah agama Allah yang diperintahkan-Nya untuk mengajarkan tentang pokok-pokok serta peraturan-peraturannya kepada Nabi Muhammad saw. dan menugaskannya untuk menyampaikan agama tersebut kepada seluruh manusia dengan mengajak mereka untuk memeluknya. Salah satu ciri yang membedakan Islam dengan yang lainnya adalah penekanannya terhadap ilmu (sains). Al-Qur’an dan Al-Sunnah mengajak kaum muslimin untuk mencari dan mendapatkan ilmu dan kearifan, serta menempatkan orang-orang yang berpengatahuan pada derajat yang tinggi. Apabila kita memperhatikan ayat al-Qur’an mengenai perintah menuntut ilmu kita akan temukan bahwa perintah itu bersifat umum, tidak terkecuali pada ilmu-ilmu yang disebut ilmu agama, yang ditekankan dalam al-Qur’an adalah apakah ilmu itu bermanfaat atau tidak. Adapun kriteria ilmu yang bermanfaat adalah ilmu yang ditujukan untuk mendekatkan diri kepada sang khalik sebagai bentuk pengabdian kepada-Nya. Pertemuan kaum muslimin dengan dunia modern, melahirkan berbagai aliran pemikiran, seperti aliran salaf dengan semboyan “Kembali kepada al-Qur’an dan Sunnah”, dan aliran Tajdid dengan semboyan “maju ke depan bersama al-Qur’an”. Pembaruan dalam Islam memang sangat dianjurkan selama pembaruan itu tidak mengebiri ajaran-ajaran Islam yang otentik, akan tetapi justru memperkuat, mempertinggi dan mengangkat martabat ummat Islam dihadapan bangsa-bangsa lain di dunia. Kata Kunci: Ilmu Pengetahuan, Perubahan, Islam Science and technology, especially in modern times, experiencing a lot of changes and very fast, being religious moving very slow, because it happened disharmony between religion and science and technology. In the Encyclopaedia of Religion and philosophy explained that Islam is the religion of Allah commanded him to teach about subjects as well as its rules to the Prophet Muhammad. and assigned him to convey the religion to all mankind by inviting them to embrace him. One characteristic that distinguishes Islam with others is its emphasis on science (science). Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah urge Muslims to seek and acquire knowledge and wisdom, as well as placing people berpengatahuan at a high degree. If we look at the verses of the Koran on orders study we will find that the order was general in nature, is no exception in the sciences called theology, which is emphasized in the Quran is whether science is beneficial or not. The criteria useful science is the science devoted to draw closer to the creator of universe as a form of devotion to Him. Meeting of the Muslims with the modern world, gave birth to various schools of thought, such as the flow of the Salaf with the slogan "Back to the Quran and Sunnah", and the flow Tajdid with the slogan "forward along the Koran". Updates in Islam is highly recommended during the update was not emasculate the teachings of Islam are authentic, but actually strengthen, enhance and elevate the dignity of Muslims in front of the other nations in the world. Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the role of the school committee in increasing effective communication between parents of students and the school at SMP Negeri 1 Lamasi, providing support, as a controller and as a mediator, in increasing communication between parents and the school regarding education. The role of the school committee can be in the form of assistance such as voluntary donations to improve learning and learning infrastructure facilities for students and provide consideration between parents and schools. Research data were collected using in-depth interview techniques, observation, and documentation studies with the following informants: school committee, principal, teachers, parents of students of SMP Negeri 1 Lamasi. Based on the results of research in the field, it shows that the role of this committee is not sufficient enough in carrying out its prominent role, namely as a giver of consideration, support, controller as well as a good mediator and liaison for the school and students' parents, thus the role of the committee in SMP Negeri 1 Lamasi school needs to be improve effective communication between parents of students and the school in this case in order to achieve a comfortable school for the school, parents of students and students in learning and learning activities.

Abstract

This research explores the contestation of Islamic religious authority in the digital space of Instagram, where traditional boundaries of religious interpretation are increasingly challenged by new forms of expression. With the rise of social media, platforms like Instagram have given rise to virtual Muslim communities, or the "e-Ummah," transforming the landscape of religious authority in Indonesia. The study examines three prominent Instagram accounts—@nuonline_id (Nahdlatul Ulama), @lensamu (Muhammadiyah), and @indonesiabertauhidofficial (an independent Salafi account)—to analyze how they represent, challenge, and redefine religious authority. Through qualitative content analysis, it investigates how these accounts utilize various forms of digital content, including infographics, videos, and quotes, to convey differing interpretations of Islamic teachings. The findings reveal significant variations in influence, with @indonesiabertauhidofficial boasting the largest following, indicating its considerable impact on digital discourse. The content of each account reflects distinct religious perspectives: @indonesiabertauhidofficial emphasizes Salafi principles, focusing on purification and strict adherence to the Qur’an and Sunnah, while NU and Muhammadiyah highlight traditional practices and moral guidance. The contestation of religious authority is particularly evident in discussions about the role of the state, interfaith relations, and the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday. الملخص تبحث هذه الدراسة في تنازع السلطة الدينية الإسلامية في الفضاء الرقمي على إنستغرام، حيث تتحدى الحدود التقليدية للتفسير الديني بشكل متزايد أشكالًا جديدة من التعبير. مع ظهور وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، أدت منصات مثل إنستغرام إلى ولادة مجتمعات إسلامية افتراضية، أو ”الأمة الإلكترونية“، مما أدى إلى تغيير مشهد السلطة الدينية في إندونيسيا. يفحص هذا البحث ثلاثة حسابات بارزة على إنستغرام، وهي@nuonline_id (نهضة العلماء)، @lensamu (المحمدية)، @indonesiabertauhidohidofficial (حساب سلفي مستقل)، لتحليل كيفية تمثيلها وتحديها وإعادة تعريفها للسلطة الدينية. من خلال تحليل المحتوى النوعي، تبحث الدراسة في كيفية استخدام هذه الحسابات لأشكال مختلفة من المحتوى الرقمي، بما في ذلك الرسوم البيانية ومقاطع الفيديو والاقتباسات، للتعبير عن تفسيرات مختلفة للتعاليم الإسلامية. وتكشف النتائج عن اختلافات كبيرة في التأثير، حيث يستحوذ حساب @indonesiabertauhidohidofficial على أكبر عدد من المتابعين، مما يشير إلى تأثيره الكبير على الخطاب الرقمي. ويعكس محتوى كل حساب وجهات نظر دينية مختلفة: إذ يؤكد حساب @indonesiabertauhidohidofficial على المبادئ السلفية، مع التركيز على التطهير والالتزام بالقرآن والسنة، في حين يؤكد حسابا نهضة العلماء والمحمدية على الممارسات التقليدية والتوجيه الأخلاقي. يتجلى التنازع على السلطة الدينية بشكل خاص في المناقشات المتعلقة بدور الدولة، والعلاقات بين الأديان، وإحياء ذكرى المولد النبوي الشريف. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi kontestasi otoritas agama Islam di ruang digital Instagram, di mana batas-batas tradisional penafsiran agama semakin ditantang oleh bentuk-bentuk ekspresi baru. Dengan munculnya media sosial, platform seperti Instagram telah melahirkan komunitas Muslim virtual, atau e-Ummah, yang mengubah lanskap otoritas keagamaan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini mengkaji tiga akun Instagram terkemuka-@nuonline_id (Nahdlatul Ulama), @lensamu (Muhammadiyah), dan @indonesiabertauhidofficial (sebuah akun Salafi independen)-untuk menganalisis bagaimana akun-akun tersebut merepresentasikan, menantang, dan mendefinisikan ulang otoritas keagamaan. Melalui analisis konten kualitatif, penelitian ini menyelidiki bagaimana akun-akun tersebut menggunakan berbagai bentuk konten digital, termasuk infografis, video, dan kutipan, untuk mengekspresikan interpretasi yang berbeda dari ajaran Islam. Temuan-temuan tersebut mengungkapkan variasi pengaruh yang signifikan, dengan @indonesiabertauhidofficial memiliki pengikut terbesar, yang menunjukkan dampaknya yang cukup besar pada wacana digital. Konten setiap akun mencerminkan pandangan keagamaan yang berbeda: @indonesiabertauhidofficial menekankan prinsip-prinsip Salafi, dengan fokus pada pemurnian dan kepatuhan terhadap Al-Qur’an dan Sunnah, sementara NU dan Muhammadiyah menekankan praktik-praktik tradisional dan panduan moral. Kontestasi otoritas keagamaan sangat jelas terlihat dalam diskusi terkait peran negara, hubungan antar agama, dan peringatan Maulid Nabi Muhammad.

Abstract

Abstract[English]:Practicing the values of Pancasila is very urgent to be realized by every citizen of the community so that in interacting with one another there is harmony in life. Pancasila as social control in the plurality of tribes, cultures, races, religions, languages in the Republic of Indonesia contains religious or spiritual values, ethical-moral values, social values, political values and the value of justice as goals. The local indigenous community of Tanah Luwu is a diverse society that can be said to be a miniature of Indonesia. There are Luwu tribe, Bugis tribe, Toraja tribe, Makassar tribe, Javanese tribe, Balinese tribe, Lombok tribe, Timor tribe and others. The religion also consists of Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, besides that the Land of Luwu has a wide area and includes trasmigran area so that the range of conflict occurs.Abstrak[Indonesia]:Pengamalan nilai-nilai Pancasila sangat urgen untuk direalisasikan oleh setiap orang warga masyarakat agar dalam berinteraksi satu sama lain terjalin harmonisasi hidup. Pancasila sebagai kontrol sosial dalam kemajemukan suku, budaya, ras, agama, bahasa di negara Republik Indonesia mengandung nilai-nilai agama atau spiritual, nilai etika- moral, nilai sosial, nilai politik dan nilai keadilan sebagai tujuan. Masyarakat adat lokal Tanah Luwu adalah masyarakat yang beragam bisa dikatakan miniatur Indonesia. Terdapat suku Luwu, suku Bugis, suku Toraja, suku Makassar, suku Jawa, suku Bali, suku Lombok, suku Timor dan lainnya juga agamanya terdiri dari Islam, Kristen, Hindu, Budha, Konghucu, di samping itu Tanah Luwu memiliki wilayah yang luas dan termasuk daerah transmigran sehingga rentang terjadi konflik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the condition of the Baha'i community in Palopo during the COVID-19 pandemic and the strategies practiced by the Baha'i community in Palopo to overcome the impact they felt during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The research informants are the Baha'i community in Palopo City, the Ministry of Religion of Palopo City, the Population and Civil Registration Office of Palopo City, and the Palopo City Religious Communication Forum. Research data shows that the Baha'i community feels the impact of the pandemic in two aspects, namely (1) a decrease in income and employment and (2and ) psychological aspects in the form of stress due to physical distancing policies that limit interaction and congregational worship. For this impact, the Baha'i community uses several strategies, namely (1) family intimacy, (2) Social networks and trust relationships (3) technological adaptation and spiritual piety.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the cosmological values in the life of the To Cerekang indigenous community. Local wisdom and environmental issues are closely intertwined in the lives of indigenous communities. This research is a descriptive qualitative study with a cosmological study approach. Several stages of data collection such as observation, interviews, and documentation are employed. In the data analysis stage, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions are conducted. Cosmological values in the conservation efforts of the To Cerekang indigenous community can be seen in various forms such as understanding of the universe, ecosystem interconnectedness, awareness of environmental vulnerability, and commitment to preservation. The To Cerekang indigenous community's understanding of the universe includes the function of ancestral values passed down to subsequent generations. Regarding ecosystem interconnectedness in the To Cerekang indigenous community's life, it is evident in the balanced interaction between humans and their environment. This also relates to the To Cerekang indigenous community's awareness of environmental vulnerability, demonstrated by their collective responsibility to protect various natural resources within their customary areas. This is accompanied by the To Cerekang indigenous community's commitment to environmental preservation, as shown by the commitment of each individual to adhere to all applicable customary rules.

Abstract

This study analyzes the results of ijtihad among the judges of the Religious Courts, particularly in the Palopo, Masamba, and Makassar Religious Courts in resolving cases of disputes over the inheritance rights of boys and girls in the Muslim community. Its main purpose is to analyze their method of ijtihad including the legal basis they apply in checking legal facts. This study uses a descriptive-analytic method supported by sociological, normative, and religious approaches. The results of the study concluded that the judges at the Palopo, Makassar, and Masamba Religious Courts have reconstructed the provisions of inheritance law in the Qur’an and the Islamic Law Compilation through their ijtihad. This is indicated by their decision in many cases, among others, to give all inheritance assets to daughters, whereas in the Qur’an and the Islamic Law Compilation the inheritance rights for girls have been determined as ½ a portion. Likewise their decision regarding the ratio of inheritance rights between boys and girls, which in the Qur’an, Hadith, and the Compilation of Islamic Law is determined to be 2: 1, reconstructed to be 1: 1; the decision to give 1/3 of the inheritance property to the adopted child through a grant or a wasiyat wajibah (will) mechanism, as well as inheritance rights to grandchildren as a substitute for the position of the father or mother.

Abstract

Online shopping addiction has become a significant behavioral issue among university students, driven by the rapid growth of digital marketplaces and the pervasive influence of social media. This study examines the role of Islamic values, social influence, and self-regulation in predicting online shopping addiction, with consumptive behavior as a mediating factor. Employing a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 160 university students in Palopo City, Indonesia, and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that stronger self-regulation and higher adherence to Islamic ethical principles significantly reduce both consumptive behavior and online shopping addiction, while greater social influence increases susceptibility to compulsive purchasing. The study highlights that moral-ethical frameworks, particularly Islamic values, combined with psychological resilience and social awareness, are essential in mitigating excessive digital consumption. By integrating perspectives from behavioral science, social theory, and Islamic ethics, this study offers theoretical and practical contributions for higher education institutions, policymakers, and digital platform designers to promote responsible online shopping practices among youth in religiously rooted societies.

Abstract

This research’s aims are 1. analyze the Tanah Luwu people's inheritance distribution, 2. analyze the views of Gender Equality on how to distribute the inheritance of the Tanah Luwu Tribe community, 3. analyze the model for developing gender equality in the inheritance distribution system of the Tanah Luwu people. This study uses an explorative-qualitative research method that describes the development model of gender equality studies in the distribution of inheritance for the people of Tanah Luwu by studying inheritance cases enforced concerning parts and kinship systems. The study shows that the people of the Tanah Luwu tribe generally adhere to Islam; however, they still highly respect the customs passed down from generation to generation to their families, including in inheritance. Therefore, when asked about the inheritance laws that apply, they answer Islamic inheritance laws. However, they use inheritance laws according to their wishes or the appointing system and consider it fair. Gender equality views the inheritance distribution of the people of Tanah Luwu as unfair; thus, there is concern among the heirs. Tension can lead to conflicts or disputes. The gender equality development model is the conflict management and conflict transformation approach.
