It is necessary to retain the rain water in the area to enlarge the amount of water that infiltrate into the soil through natural or artificial recharge area. Research problem is how the influence of the existing drainage system and the green open space (RTH) to the runoff discharge. The study design is in the form of field observations and analytical activities: analysis of the characteristics of rain with a variety of 10-year historical data; land cover analysis and capacity of the existing green space; analysis of the capacity of the existing drainage system; analysis of the total runoff discharge and discharge runoff that are not controlled by the existing drainage system and RTH. The results showed that the total capacity of existing drainage systems and green space of 36,066 m3/sec. The amount of discharge that is not controlled on the time period of 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 year, respectively: 11.95 m3/s; 20.28 m3/s; 30.82 m3/s; 38.68 m3/s; 46.56 m3/s. Uncontrolled runoff discharge causing flooding on roads in the study area with the water level between 22-35 cm.Keywords: Sustainable Urban Drainage System, Green Open Space, Runoff DischargeAbstrakParadigma baru sistem drainase menempatkan drainase perkotaan sebagai prasarana kota yang dilandaskan pada konsep drainase yang berwawasan lingkungan atau berkelanjutan. Untuk itu perlu diupayakan agar air hujan yang jatuh ditahan terlebih dulu untuk memperbesar jumlah air yang meresap ke dalam tanah melalui daerah resapan alamiah maupun buatan. Permasalahan yang akan dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pengaruh sistem drainase dan ruang terbuka hijau (RTH) eksisting terhadap debit limpasan, sebagai dasar pengembangan RTH yang merupakan alternatif sistem drainase berkelanjutan. Metode penelitian berupa observasi lapangan dan analitik dengan tahapan kegiatan: analisis karakteristik hujan dengan berbagai kala ulang menggunakan data historis 10 tahun terakhir; analisis tutupan lahan dan kapasitas ruang terbuka hijau eksisting; analisis kapasitas sistem drainase eksisting; analisis debit limpasan total dan debit limpasan yang tidak dikendalikan oleh sistem drainase dan RTH eksisting. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa apasitas total sistem drainase dan RTH eksisting sebesar 36,066 m3/detik. Besarnya debit yang tidak dikendalikan pada kala ulang 5 thn, 10 thn, 25 thn, 50 thn dan 100 thn berturut-turut sebesar 11,95 m3/dt; 20,28 m3/dt ; 30,82 m3/dt; 38,68 m3/dt; 46,56 m3/dt. Debit limpasan yang tidak terkendali menyebabkan terjadinya genangan di ruas jalan pada daerah studi dengan tinggi genangan antara 22 - 35 cm.Kata kunci: sistem drainase berkelanjutan, ruang terbuka hijau, debit limpasan

Abstract

High rainfall intensity will generate different response on the concrete block pavement (CBP) performance. A study found that larger openings of CBP did not lead more water penetrated. In other study, larger openings can lead greater decrease in runoff velocity. The correlation between the openings, water penetration and runoff velocity has remained unclear. In this study, we investigated hydraulic performance of CBP as an impact of surface roughness condition, under high rainfall intensities, saturated sub-base layer, and various slope surfaces. We conducted experiment using a 2 m by 6 m of rectangular CBP layer with herringbone 90 and basket-weave pattern. We used a modified dye tracing method in view to monitor the surface flow velocity under various high rainfall intensities. The results showed that hydraulic performance of surface runoff in the CBP layer was more influenced by the surface roughness condition. The roughness condition was very sensitive to the change in surface configuration of the CBP. The relationship between rainfall intensity, surface slope and roughness number followed polynomial functions. A further study is required to investigate the appropriate quality of CBPs, which have high durability applied over a steep slope surface and under high rainfall intensities.

Abstract

Merjosari Village in Malang, which used to be still an agricultural area, has gradually narrowed due to the large number of housing developments by developers. This has an impact on reduced agricultural output, especially chili and tomatoes. Farmers and laborers are unemployed because of the decreasing number of their agricultural lands. The program aims to provide training on the use of mushroom waste in the form of grajen into worm breeding media, program implementation methods by providing outreach programs, training, and providing worm culture facilities and infrastructure for farmers. The results of the program show that farmers and laborers in Merjosari Village can carry out their own cultivation of the lumbricus rubellus worm by utilizing mushroom baglog waste (grajen). The results of the worm cultivation can be sold in the form of worms that can be used as animal feed, birds / poultry, fish, shrimp and so on, the basic ingredients of cosmetics and medicines, and worm feces (vermicompost) used for high-quality organic fertilizers, especially for plants such as flowers and fruit. For farmers and other communities, this program can create self-employment opportunities (entrepreneurship), improve the economy and family welfare, participate in maintaining the balance of ecosystems and the environment.DOI: https://doi.org/10.26905/abdimas.v5i2.4407

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic initiates the emergence of the social distancing concept and the implementation of health protocols. This also happens in worship places, which are public places and are at risk of spreading the Covid-19 virus. For such reason, strict health protocols need to be carried out when washing hands with hand sanitizer. The use of hand sanitizers is believed to be able to kill viruses well, but manual spraying can increase the spread of the virus. This program aims to make automatic hand sanitizer spraying devices placed in front of the Attawwaabiin Mosque entrance, Pisang Candi Village, Malang City. The implementation method consisted of program observation and the manufacture of an automatic hand sanitizer spraying device, including the preparation of tools and components, the assembly stage, the trial and repair stage, and the stage of providing tools to partners. The result of this program is a tool that is specially assembled so that the spraying of hand sanitizer can be done automatically without touching other media so that it can help reduce the spread of the virus so that the congregation of the mosque can carry out their worship with a sense of security and comfort.

Abstract

To date, flood is a problem that often plagues the city of Malang. Floods that occur are mainly caused by poor drainage channels and silting of drainage channels due to people's habits of throwing garbage in rivers. In the Pulosari Kiosk Area of Malang city, the flood was worsened by the capacity of the Pulosari Channel which narrowed due to illegal building. In heavy rain, so much water overflowed into the Pulosari Road, resulting in losses to traders in the area. The purpose of this study was to find a solution to reduce flooding in the Pulosari Channel with the appropriate flood control technology in the area. This study used interviews and questionnaires to investigate the community's response to flood control development efforts. Data analysis was carried out using statistical analysis to obtain a description of the community response to a flood control system implemented by the city government. The research results show that constructing flood diversion channels in the upper area, and educating the community about flood risk management is the best solution in this area to minimize flood losses.

Abstract

The PKKM policy implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic had an effect on the decrease in tourism. Due to these losses, Coban Waru Waterfall's natural tourism management had to deal with abandoned tourist attractions. After the pandemic, there is a need to reintroduce and attract visitors to the Coban Waru waterfall natural tourist attraction. Through digital promotion, this activity aims to raise public awareness of Coban Waru waterfall natural tourism. The method consists of the use of digital media promotion and training in content creation. As a result of this activity, a profile video and a leaflet titled "Promotion of Coban Waru Waterfall Nature Tourism" were posted on the social media platforms YouTube and Instagram. Through digital marketing, it is possible to bring new tourist attractions to the public's attention.

Abstract

This service aims to increase the harvest yields of the Green Cemara Farm Women's Group in Malang City and support food security in urban settlements. The combination of residential communities, empowerment, and sustainable agriculture presents an exciting path to addressing this pressing issue. Empowering housing communities through the application of hydroorganics offers a transformative approach to overcoming challenges. Problems with production partners selling organic vegetables and fulfillment for housing residents. The implementation method goes through four stages, namely: identification of problems and needs, program design, implementation and evaluation. The activities carried out are creating a hydroorganic system and carrying out planting using hydroganic media. Then carry out hydroorganic training so that harvest results are effective. As hydroganic practices grow in popularity around the world, this dedication underscores their important role in improving food security, encouraging sustainable urban agriculture, and encouraging the empowerment of residential communities. The results reflect the potential for expanding the hydroorganic movement to engage more residential residents and address contemporary food security challenges.

Abstract

Kebutuhan energi mendorong masyarakat untuk mengembangkan dan mengaplikasikan teknologi yang berbasis energi terbarukan (renewable energy). Pemanfaatan potensi energi terbarukan dimiliki oleh masyarakat merupakan konsep pengembangan yang berbasis pada kearifan local setempat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merencanakan proses pembuatan kincir air poros horizontal untuk aliran rendah yang diimplemantasikan di kampung Glintung Water Street (GWS). Metode yang diterapkan adalah analisa proses pembuatan yang bertujuan untuk menentukan jenis, tahapan proses, dan urutan proses pemasangan (assembly) komponen-komponen kincir air. Komponen utama kincir air yang direncanakan terdiri dari: 1) frame; 2) blade; 3) flange; 4) bushing; 5) poros. Analisa proses yang telah dilakukan menghasilkan diagram alir proses pembuatan kincir air. Jenis proses yang diperlukan meliputi: metal cutting, bending, turning, milling, drilling, dan welding.

Abstract

Kegiatan urban farming menjadi salah satu solusi untuk persediaan sayur yang berkualitas dan murah, di tengah sempitnya lahan perumahan di perkotaan. Rukun Warga (RW) Tangguh di Kelurahan Poharin menjadi wadah komunitas yang mampu menopang program ketahanan pangan di perumahan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat perumahan melalui RW Tangguh dan menciptakan masyarakat yang sehat. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian meliputi observasi, Pendidikan masyarakat, difusi dan penerapan iptek, pelatihan dan simulasi serta evaluasi. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui kolaborasi mitra dengan pengabdi membuat instalasi hidroganik dan mengembangkan sistem pertanian sederhana hidroganik diperumahan yang menghasilkan taman edukasi urbang farming. Hasil panen telah dapat digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan warga perumahan. Selanjutnya, kegiatan ini diproyeksikan dan berhasil meningkatkan hasil panen sayur bayam, sawi, kaylan, kangkung. Hasil panen menjadi bertambah dua kali lipat. Aspek pemenuhan ketahanan pangan telah dicapai, sementara secara edukasi RW Tangguh memberdayakan warga sekitar untuk mengembangkan taman edukasi urban farming guna pembelajaran sosial bagi seluruh warga baik di sekitar RW maupun di luarnya.
