Abstract

Candy sold in the market could be containing a heavy metals like copper. In this study, candy was destructed with HNO3, HNO3/H2SO4 (3:1) dan HNO3/H2SO4/H2O2 (6:2:1) to know the best matter oxidixer for copper. Then, evaluated the levels of copper using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The one way anove result with F test showed that the best oxidizer for copper in candy is HNO3/H2SO4. The average concentration of Copper in candy coded A, B, C, D, and E were 1. 72 mg/Kg; 1.69 mg/Kg; 1.57 mg/Kg; 1.71 mg/Kg; and 1.69 mg/Kg respectively. The content of copper in candies were the under daily dietary recommended limit based on SNI regulation. Key Words: Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry, candy, matter oxidizer, time stability, wet destruction

Abstract

For several years, COVID-19 has been a major problem in human health and also caused a global socio-economic crisis. However, the impact of viral load on patient mortality has not been thoroughly investigated. This study analyzes the association between CT value and the mortality of COVID-19 patients in inpatients at Mohammad Hoesin Hospital. This study used observational analysis with a longitudinal retrospective design. This study had 280 subjects. Fifty-four of the 280 patients died (19.3%) 33% had a CT <22.93; 16.7% had a CT 22.93-29.93; 31.5% had a CT 29.94-34.9, 18.5% had a CT >35 with p-value >0.05 for patient mortality. Analysis of age, comorbidities, and clinical severity of patient mortality showed a p-value <0.05. Meanwhile, gender analysis of patient mortality showed a p-value >0.05. These results indicate that the CT value cannot predict patient mortality. Patients with older age, comorbidities, and admission with severe clinical severity have a higher risk of death.

Abstract

Based on the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey, the prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) in the population aged ≥15 years reached 11.7%. In Tangerang Regency, the prevalence of DM reached 1.9%. In 2024, 1,940 visits were recorded in 10 villages in the Kresek Health Center's working area, with Kresek Village having the highest (471 visits, 24.3%). Visits increased from 117 (6.0%) in February to 217 (11.2%) in November, then decreased to 167 (8.6%) in December. Stabilize the number of Type 2 DM visits in the Kresek Health Center work area by increasing public understanding of diabetes and encouraging awareness of the importance of routine blood sugar checks. Community diagnosis uses the Blum paradigm for problem identification, the non-scoring technique (Delphi) method for problem prioritization, and fishbone diagrams for root cause problems. Interventions were carried out through counseling and fasting blood sugar (GDP) checks, with evaluation using pre-tests and post-tests. The increase in participants' knowledge from pre-test to post-test was 76.3% (23 out of 30 participants achieved a score of ≥70). The GDP examination found 3 people with results of ≥126 mg/dL who were referred for follow-up examination. The intervention succeeded in increasing public knowledge about DM and awareness of the importance of routine blood sugar checks at health centers to stabilize the number of visits.
