Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui wujud ragam slang dalam bahasa iklan selebriti instagram khususnya kota Makassar ditinjau dari aspek pragmatik (deiksis), aspek pragmatik (praanggapan), dan aspek pragmatik (implikatur). Jenis penelitian menggunakan pendekatan  deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah keterangan berupa perkataan atau ujaran dalam bahasa iklan sebagai bahan dasar kajian dan analisis. Sumber datanya adalah bahasa iklan yang ditemukan pada akun media sosial para selebriti instagram yakni Anggu Batary (AB), Alief Mueller (AM), dan Halifah Intania (HI), melalui unggah di feed yang dinilai mengalami perubahan ragam slang dalam bahasa iklan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan deiksis yang muncul pada bahasa iklan selebriti Makassar adalah deiksis persona dan deiksis tempat. Praanggapan yang sering muncul dalan bahasa iklan selebriti instagram Makassar yaitu praanggapan ekstensial, praanggapan faktif, praanggapan leksikal, praanggapan struktural, dan praanggapan konterfaktual. Sedangkan bentuk tindak ujaran yang sering muncul dalan bahasa iklan selebriti instagram Makassar yaitu jenis impikatur konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian data yang muncul dalam bahasa instragram selebriti Makassar justru tidak ditemukan impikatur percakapan. Hal ini disebabkan karena dalam beriklan selebriti instagram tidak melakukan interaksi saling bercakap-cakap, melainkan hanya berbicara individu dengan tujuan memperkenalkan suatu produk agar konsumen terpengaruh untuk membeli produk tersebut.Kata Kunci: Ragam Slang, Iklan, Pragmatik

Abstract

The Function of Comparative and Contradictory Language Styles in the Rintik Sedu Podcast on the Spotify application obtains two comparative functions, namely conveying similarities and comparative statements, as well as obtaining two contradictory functions, namely, conveying affirmation and conveying opinions. Conveying similarities is used to express similarities to something in question. Comparative statements are used to express a comparison of something. Conveying an affirmation is used to emphasize something that is considered to be in accordance with the speaker's opinion. Expressing opinions is used to provide advice or opinions on something to someone. This research aims to describe the function of comparative and contradictory language styles in the rintik sedu podcast on the Spotify application. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method obtained through note-taking, reading and documentation techniques. The results of the research found five data with one statement each, two statements of similarities and two statements of comparison

Abstract

The views of students and instructors are vital in developing a comfortable English learning environment. Hybrid learning with inserting the artificial intelligence is one way to attract the students’ attention in the classroom. The aim of this study is to investigate the how students’ motivation toward the using of ELSA application in Speaking. It investigated how the students engage in the classroom and their motivation. The mix approach was used in this study. The information gathered from the questionnaire about students' and lecturers' attitudes toward online learning materials. Using a Likert scale, they were graded. The responses of the students to online learning by applying ELSA application. The students were enthusiastic and engaged in learning Intensive Speaking by using ELSA application. The findings of this study are expected to aid teachers and lecturers in gaining insights and prior knowledge when designing ELT model for hybrid class. It is also intended to provide feedback on how to enhance the hybrid learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan ragam bentuk penggunaan bahasa gaul dalam komunikasi media sosial Twitter, (2) mendeskripsikan fungsi dari ragam penggunaan bahasa gaul dalam komunikasi media sosial Twitter. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Fokus penelitian ini adalah ragam bahasa gaul dalam komuniasi media sosial Twitter. Sumber penelitian yakni pengguna media sosial Twitter. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, teknik baca, teknik dokumentasi, dan teknik catat. Teknik analisis data, (1) reduksi data atau pemilihan data (2) pengelompokkan data, (3) menyajikan, dan (4) kesimpulan akhir. Hasil penelitian ditemukan beberapa bentuk dan fungsi penggunaan bahasa gaul dalam komunikasi media sosial Twitter. Bentuk bahasa gaul terbagi menjadi bentuk singkatan, bentuk pemenggalan, bentuk kontraksi, dan bentuk akronomi. Sedangkan fungsi bahasa gaul terbagi menjadi fungsi informatif, fungsi direktif, fungsi ekspresif, dan fungsi fatis. Bahasa gaul dapat diartikan sebagai variasi bahasa yang bersifat sementara yang berupa singkatan menggabungkan huruf dengan angka, memperpendek, mencampur huruf kapital dan kecil membentuk sebuah kalimat. Bahasa gaul sering digunakan oleh anak-anak, remaja, bahkan orang dewasa, yang secara tidak langsung bahasa tersebut menjadi bahasa sehari-hari.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model mind mapping dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII SMPN 4 Sungguminasa (2) untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar siswa dalam penerapan model mind mapping pada pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII SMPN 4 Sungguminasa. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 4 Sungguminasa. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VII B yang berjumlah 37 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Teknik analisis yaitu analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran mind mapping dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi di kelas VII SMP 4 Sungguminasa

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form and function of figurative language in the novel Buya Hamka by Ahmad Fuadi. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through note-taking and observation techniques. The data in this study are sentences containing figurative language in the novel Buya Hamka by Ahmad Fuadi and the data source used is the novel entitled Buya Hamka by Ahmad Fuadi. The results of the study show that the most dominant figurative language is comparison contained in the novel Buya Hamka by Ahmad Fuadi. This figurative language has a function according to the meaning of the sentence, such as creating imagination, showing emotions, figurative meaning, adding aesthetics, encouraging critical thinking, and emphasizing meaning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the listening skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 8 Sangalla Selatan, Tana Toraja Regency, through the application of the storytelling method. Problems encountered in the learning process were low student attention and active participation during listening activities, which resulted in low learning effectiveness. This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection to continuously improve learning. Data were obtained through listening tests at the end of each cycle to measure student development and assess the effectiveness of storytelling. The results showed a significant improvement in listening skills. In the first cycle, only 8 out of 22 students (36.4%) achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) with an average score of 54.09. After improvements in the second cycle, the number of students who completed the reading increased to 16 (72.7%) with an average score of 73.64. Thus, the application of the storytelling method has proven effective in improving listening skills for folktales and strengthening the quality of Indonesian language learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe morphological errors in Indonesian language compositions written by foreign language learners at the Alekawa Language & Culture Center. The morphological errors will be described in this study are errors found in affixation, reduplication, and abbreviation. This study uses a qualitative research design by involving documentation in the form of BIPA students' essays at Alekawa to collect phenomena to be studied and discussed in depth. This study uses data cards to analyze documents in the form of BIPA student essays. The data obtained were analyzed by using corder error analysis technique. The results of this study show that there are 22 morphological errors in the BIPA students' essays, namely there are 21 affixation errors and 1 reduplication error. In this study, no words using abbreviations were found in the writings of A1-level BIPA students because the grammar of abbreviations had not yet been taught to A1-level BIPA students, so BIPA students did not use abbreviations in their writing. The results of this study are expected to provide feedback for BIPA teachers, BIPA institutions, and further researchers. This research is also expected to be a reference material for BIPA teachers to be able to improve the learning of BIPA grammar morphology material at the A1 level. Keywords: BIPA learning, writing skills, morphology, essay, language errors
