Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a synergistic village development model that integrates three key elements infrastructure development, community empowerment, and governance capacity-building as a comprehensive approach to achieving sustainable village development. Academically, this study is significant because it offers an integrative perspective on village development, which has often been approached in a fragmented or sectoral manner. Practically, the research provides relevant guidance for village governments and development stakeholders in designing more effective development strategies. The study employs a qualitative approach through a literature review by examining policy documents, previous research findings, and academic literature related to village development and community capacity strengthening. The findings indicate that the success of village development is largely determined by the interconnection among the three elements: infrastructure must support the enhancement of local capacities; empowerment initiatives should strengthen economic and social independence; and governance capacity-building is needed to ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with local cultural values. This research contributes to filling gaps in the existing literature by proposing an integrative development model that is more holistic and participatory. Practically, the model can serve as a strategic reference for village governments in formulating sustainable development policies.

Abstract

The main problem faced by history teachers is that historical materials are often perceived as abstract and less engaging, and many teachers are not yet accustomed to using digital media such as Prezi effectively. This training aimed to equip teachers with the skills to design engaging history learning materials that align with the characteristics of digital native students through the use of Prezi. The activity was conducted at Universitas Tanjungpura and involved 15 senior high school history teachers in Pontianak City who are members of the History MGMP, as well as pre-service teachers. The core workshop was held on September 20, 2025, using a training–practice–mentoring model that integrated conceptual delivery, hands-on practice, and technical assistance. The results showed a significant positive impact, as participants improved their understanding of digital native learning behaviors and their technical skills in operating Prezi. Teachers were able to present history materials in a more dynamic and interactive manner, reflecting the integration of technological and pedagogical knowledge (TPACK). Participants’ questionnaire responses also indicated very positive perceptions of the usefulness and quality of the training.

Abstract

Senior High School 1 Sekadau Hulu has implemented Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in history learning through the creation of history learning videos by students. This implementation still tends to be conventional, and the planning is still not structured and implemented optimally. So, this study aims to describe the implementation of Project-Based Learning in history learning at Senior High School 1 Sekadau Hulu, which includes the planning, implementation, supporting and inhibiting factors, and project assessment evaluation stages. The study used a descriptive qualitative method through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that in the planning stage, teachers developed teaching modules according to the Independent Curriculum by integrating PjBL through video-making projects that were in line with learning competencies. In the implementation stage, students were divided into groups of 5–6 people, with group leaders determined by the teacher and project topics determined by the teacher. The teacher acted as a facilitator, utilizing textbooks and the internet as learning resources. The project was implemented for two weeks. Supporting factors included the availability of textbooks, Wi-Fi, the school library, and student cooperation, while inhibiting factors included limited infrastructure, student time management, and teacher resources. The evaluation was carried out using a process and product assessment rubric, with the average student score being above 75 in the good category.
