Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap sadar lingkungan siswa SMA Swasta Yayasan Pendidikan Teladan Pematangsiantar Semester Genap T.A 2021/2022.  Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Swasta Yayasan Pendidikan Teladan Pematangsiantar 2020. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Swasta Yayasan Pendidikan Teladan Pematangsiantar yang berjumlah 750 orang. Sampel ditentukan 25% sehingga jumlahnya 187 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan acak random proporsional. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik angket dan observasi dengan menggunakan teknis analisis data deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sikap sadar lingkungan siswa SMA Swasta Yayasan Pendidikan Teladan Pematangsiantar Semester Genap T.A 2021/2022 tergolong dalam kategori sedang (rata rata skor 2.96) sikap ini mencakup sikap hormat terhadap lingkungan tergolong kategori sedang (2.63), prinsip tanggung jawab termasuk kategori tinggi (3.16), prinsip solidaritas kosmis termasuk tinggi (3.13), prinsip kasih sayang dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan tergolong dalam kategori tinggi (3.08), prinsip tidak merusak tergolong kategori tinggi (3.07), prinsip hidup sederhana dan selaras dengan alam termasuk kategori sedang (2.57), prinsip keadilan termasuk tinggi (3.51), prinsip demokrasi tergolong dalam kategori sedang (2.74), dan prinsip integritas moral tergolong kategori sedang (2.61).Kata kunci: Sikap Siswa, Sadar Lingkungan, Lingkungan Sekolah. AbstractThis study aims to determine the environmentally conscious attitude of private high school students Pematangsiantar Exemplary Education Even Semester T.A 2021/2022. The research was conducted at Pematangsiantar Exemplary Private High School Foundation 2020. The population in this study were 750 Pematangsiantar Exemplary Private High School students. The sample is determined 25% so that there are 187 people. Sampling is done by proportional random random. Data collection techniques in this study were questionnaire and observation techniques using descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the environmentally conscious attitude of high school students in Pematangsiantar Exemplary Education Foundation Even Semester 2021/2022 is in the moderate category (average score of 2.96). high (3.16), the principle of cosmic solidarity is high (3.13), the principle of compassion and care for the environment is in the high category (3.08), the principle of non-destructive is in the high category (3.07), the principle of simple living and in harmony with nature is in the medium category ( 2.57), the principle of justice is high (3.51), the principle of democracy is in the moderate category (2.74), and the principle of moral integrity is in the moderate category (2.61).Key words: Student Attitude; Environmentally Conscious; School Environment.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran geografi di masa pandemi dan efektivitas pembelajaran geografi di SMA se-kecamatan Taman Sari Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini berlokasi SMA se-Kecamatan Taman Sari Jakarta Barat, yang terdiri 5 sekolah yaitu, SMA N 17 Jakarta Barat, SMA Sentosa Pagi, SMA N 2 Jakarta, SMA Santo Leo dan Sekolah Ricci. Teknik pengumpulan data dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah Teknik observasi, studi dokumentasi dan teknik wawancara. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif yaitu menjelaskan analisis efektivitas pembelajaran geografi pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas di kelas X IPS SMA se-kecamatan Taman Sari Jakarta Barat. Yang akan disajikan dalam bentuk persentase, tabel, grafik, gambar dan lain-lain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran di SMA se-Kecamatan Taman Sari semasa pandemi covid-19 dilaksanakan secara tatap muka terbatas dan daring dengan menfaatkan aplikasi whatsapp group, google classroom dan zoom meeting. (2) efektivitas pembelajaran geografi dimasa tatap muka terbatas dilihat dari mutu pembelajaran tergolong pada kategori cukup efektif dengan skor 76.22%, tingkat pengajaran cukup efektif dengan skor 78.37%, insentif tergolong kategori cukup efektif dengan skor 68.90% dan waktu pembelajaran pada kategori cukup efektif dengan skor 90% Pembelajaran geografi pada tatap muka terbatas menunjukkan hasil yang cukup efektif yaitu sebesar 78.37%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of geography learning during the pandemic and the effectiveness of geography learning in senior high schools throughout the Taman Sari sub-district, West Jakarta. This research is located in Senior high school in Taman Sari, West Jakarta, which consists of 5 schools namely, SMAN 17 West Jakarta, SMA Sentosa Pagi, SMAN 2 Jakarta, SMA Santo Leo and Ricci School. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation techniques, documentation studies and interview techniques. The analytical technique used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis, which is to explain the analysis of the effectiveness of geography learning in the implementation of limited face-to-face learning in class X IPS SMA in Taman Sari, West Jakarta. Which will be presented in the form of percentages, tables, graphs, images and others. The results showed that (1) the implementation of learning in high schools throughout the Taman Sari District during the covid-19 pandemic was carried out face-to-face limited and online by using the whatsapp group application, google classroom and zoom meeting. (2) the effectiveness of learning geography in the face-to-face period is limited, judging from the quality of learning that is classified as quite effective with a score of 76.22%, the level of teaching is quite effective with a score of 78.37%, incentives are categorized as quite effective with a score of 68.90% and learning time is in the category of quite effective with a score of 90% Learning geography in face-to-face limited shows quite effective results, which is equal to 78.37%.Keywords:  Learning Effectiveness, Limited Face-to-face

Abstract

The environment is an important pillar for all life, including human life. However, today's environmental problems cannot be separated from human activities. It is necessary to have environmental problem-solving skills in students. This study aimed to analyze the environmental problem-solving ability of students in Class XI Social Science at State Senior High School 17 West Jakarta. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. This study used a sample of 27 students. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Research results showed that the ability to solve environmental problems for class XI Social Science at State Senior High School 17 West Jakarta was classified as high (71,22%). The results of the indicator research are as follows: defining the problem using test questions at 30,19% and questionnaire results at 31,02%, identifying problems using test questions at 25,19% and questionnaire results at 21,27%, formulating various alternative solutions using test questions at 23,52% and questionnaire results of 25,19% and determine the best solution using test questions of 21,10% and questionnaire results of 22,52%. The highest score is found on the indicator defining the problem, and the lowest score on determining the best solution. This finding implies that there is a tendency for students to understand, identify and formulate solutions to environmental problems.Keywords: Ability, Problem-Solving, Environmental, Senior High School

Abstract

Mangrove fruit (Rhizophora mucronata Lamk.) has a good bioactive and antioxidant compound.  Mangrove fruits are usually extracted with methanol solvent and thus it’s necessary to investigate the influence of different solvents on their antioxidant activity. The purpose of this research was to study the effect of solvent polarity on the antioxidant activity of mangrove fruit extract. The solvent used was n-hexane (nonpolar), ethyl acetate (semi-polar), and methanol (polar). Antioxidant activity was measured by the DPPH method. The polarity of the solvents significantly affected the IC50 values of mangrove fruit extract. IC50 values from n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol extracts were 354,83 ppm, 120,19 ppm, and 58,61 ppm respectively. The crude extract (methanol) can inhibit fat oxidation and achieve the best peroxide number of 3.00 mEq/kg oil, which was lowered at a concentration of 31.25 ppm.  Methanol extract and Ethyl acetate contained bioactive compounds such as alkaloids, steroids, flavonoids, phenols hydroquinone, and, tannins. N-hexane extract had steroids. The best solvent to produce the highest antioxidant activity and inhibit peroxide was methanol. Keywords: Bioactive compound, mangrove fruit, polarity Abstrak Buah Bakau (Rhizophora mucronata Lamk.) memiliki komponen bioaktif dan aktivitas antioksidan yang baik. Umumnya buah bakau diekstrak dengan menggunakan metanol, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan pelarut terhadap aktivitas antioksidan buah bakau. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan aktivitas antioksidan dari buah bakau dengan metode DPPH yang diekstraksi dengan tiga macam pelarut berbeda yaitu, n-heksana (nonpolar), etil asetat (semi polar) dan metanol (polar). Nilai IC50 ekstrak kasar buah bakau dipengaruhi secara signifikan oleh tingkat kepolaran pelarut.  Nilai IC50 dari ekstrak kasar n-heksana sebesar 354,83 ppm, ekstrak kasar etil asetat sebesar 120,19 ppm dan ekstrak kasar metanol sebesar 58,61 ppm. Ekstrak kasar (metanol) dapat menghambat oksidasi lemak dan menghasilkan nilai bilangan peroksida terbaik sebesar 3,00 Meq/Kg minyak yang dapat diturunkan pada konsentrasi 31,25 ppm. Ekstrak kasar metanol dan etil asetat mengandung komponen bioaktif alkaloid, steroid, flavonoid, fenol hidrokuinon dan tannin. Ekstrak kasar n-heksana mengandung komponen bioaktif yaitu steroid. Pelarut terbaik yang dapat menghasilkan aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi serta dapat menghambat bilangan peroksida terbaik adalah metanol. Kata kunci: komponen bioaktif, Buah bakau, kepolaran.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of the Case Method and Team-Based Project learning approaches within the context of the Geography Education Department's cultural and political geography courses at Universitas Negeri Medan. These methods, relevant to the Merdeka Belajar - Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, aim to enhance student skills through active, applied learning. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the research gathered data via questionnaires distributed through Google Forms to a sample of 67 students out of a total population of 454 from the 2019-2022 academic cohorts. Findings indicate that the duration required for the Case Method varies with the complexity of the cases, ranging from 15-30 minutes for simpler issues to over 60 minutes for more intricate problems. The Team-Based Project approach necessitates 7 to 8 meetings, including initial planning and subsequent implementation phases, monitored by lecturers through direct communication or digital platforms like LMS forums or Zoom channels. However, the study reveals inefficiencies in applying these learning methods within the department, attributed to the substantial workload imposed by the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and a lack of student engagement in assignments. It suggests a comprehensive revision of IQF assignments towards more discussion-oriented and field-practical approaches to address these challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ritual of Penusur sira in the tradition of the Dokan village community as an adaptation to the environment, to find out the shape of the Siwaluh Jabu traditional house that adapts to natural conditions and to know the appearance of the Dokan Art Festival in preserving and introducing local culture. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach with socio-cultural observations of the community to answer the research objectives. The results of the study show that the ritual of the ancestor sira and the traditional house of Siwaluh Jabu are local wisdom that must be maintained and preserved so that they do not become extinct along with the times. The Karo community and several art activists innovated to introduce Dokan village by holding a Dokan Art Festival. This is in addition to maintaining the existence of local culture but also becomes an attraction for tourists by presenting performances that tell the history and entertainment of local music and dances.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of naturalist intelligence of students in class XI of Santo Leo High School, West Jakarta. This research uses descriptive-qualitative method. The population and sample in this study used Simple Random Sampling with students in class XI IPS SMA Santo Leo West Jakarta as many as 32 people. the instrument used in this study is a questionnaire related to naturalist intelligence. The results showed that the naturalist intelligence of students in class XI IPS SMA Santo Leo West Jakarta was classified as a high category with a score of 3.89. As explained in detail the achievement of each indicator is Distinguishing members of a species gets a score of 4.10 with a high category, Recognizing the existence of species with a penchant for being in the open nature of the medium category (3.54), Mapping the relationship between several species, either formally or informally with a score of 4.00 (High category) and Researching natural symptoms with a score of 3.90 which is classified as high.
