Abstract

This paper discusses the Islamic politics between the orientation of dakwah and power. Although dakwah was originally synonymous with cultural efforts, but the efforts of those who pull dakwah into the circle of jihad and politics have changed the meaning of the dakwah. In political Islam, dakwah is identical with political purposes of Islam itself, namely the establishment of Sharia and Islamic State. However, the other parties politicize Islam to gain power. According to some people, political parties, including the Islamic party, in Indonesia, politicize Islam rather than fight for Islam

Abstract

This article analyzes the statements of seven Islamic movements in Indonesia towards ISIS, namely JAT, JAS, HTI, FPI, FUI-MUI, Muhammadiyah and NU with the Critical Discourse Analysis - CDA) approach from Teun Van Dijk. This study found that groups who aspire to establish the Khilafah Islamiyah such as JAT, JAS, HTI, and FPI, basically, they agreed with the establishment of the Islamic Caliphate, but differed on methods and strategies with ISIS to achieve the establishment of the Khilafah Islamiyah. These diverse strategies and ideologis are keys to their different attitudes  towards ISIS. The groups that are firmly loyal to the nation-state of Indonesia reject the form of the Khilafah Islamiyah state. Therefore they expressly reject ISIS and its Islamic Caliphate declaration. Included in this group are mass organizations joined in the FUI-MUI, including Muhammadiyah and NU

Abstract

The statement of Rocky Gerung (RG), a popular thinker in Indonesia, that "If I use the definition that fiction activates imagination, the holy book is fiction" at the Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC), Tuesday (04/10/2018) has caused controversy both in lay circles and philosophy lecturers in Indonesia. Even reported to the Police of the Republic of Indonesia as a statement that blasphemed religion. To be fair in this matter, this paper uses Husserl's phenomenological approach by putting in epoché all beliefs about the scriptures, especially those adopted by the author, to understand the "Holy Book is Fiction" in the conception of Rocky Gerung (RG). This approach allows the author to understand the concept of RG without being disturbed by initial perceptions, religious beliefs and the author's point of view. Then, the author moves to put the concept of RG in the discussion of contemporary logic that develops in analytic philosophy, namely modal logic, to analyze the possibility of the truth that "Holy Book is Fiction." Furthermore, the author identifies an epistemological position that enables one to view eschatological knowledge in the scriptures as something fictional not real and factual. It is hoped that this paper will unravel the confusion surrounding this controversy.

Abstract

This article explores the construction of the definition of "fiqh" in several books of ushul fiqh of the mutakallimūn school by starting from an exploration of the classification of knowledge in Islamic philosophy and theology. Furthermore, this article identifies the implications of the classification of knowledge in theology, namely ‘ilm dharūrī (immediate knowledge) and ‘ilm nazharī (discursive knowledge) as the basis for the formation of ushul fiqh, with the main focus on the term "fiqh" in several books of ushul fiqh by mutakallimūn. In the final section, this article discusses two logical and epistemological aspects of the nazharī paradigm and analyzes the example of nazharī reasoning in usul fiqh from Al-Amidi in those two aspects. This article argues that logical and epistemological analysis within the nazharī paradigm can identify divine elements and human understanding in the steps producing Islamic law so that the distinction between syariah and fiqh can be clarified systematically.

Abstract

In this essay 1 examine one model of critical episternologies, namely the phenomenalism. It ts a form of anti-realism; the phenomenalist denies the existence of a physical world when it is unperceived. I argue that the phenomenalist does not provide us with a meaningful and useful advancement in our understanding of experience and the world surroundings us. Against them i say that the appearances of physical objects are dependent on the nature of the object it-self, the condinons of perceiver and the light falls into the object, The notion of standard conditions put forward by the phenomenalist lead them into favouritism and committed to representationalism
