Abstract

This development research aims to produce a Children's Activity Sheet based on local cultural diversity, especially Aceh. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the development model used according to Borg and Gall. The instrument used to measure the validity aspect of the Children's Activity Sheet is an assessment questionnaire by material experts, media experts, and linguists. The results showed that the Children's Activity Sheet was suitable to be used as teaching material, this was based on the assessment score obtained through the assessment score from the material expert getting a percentage of 83.33% with appropriate criteria, the assessment score from a linguist getting a percentage of 80% with the criteria feasible, and the assessment score from media experts gets a percentage of 93.18% with appropriate criteria. In the field trial, the percentage of attractiveness of the Children's Activity Sheet got a percentage of 93.75% with proper criteria. Based on the results of expert validation and product testing, the researcher can conclude that the Children's Activity Sheet is very suitable to be used as teaching material.

Abstract

Karya ilmiah ini membahas mengenai Partisipasi orang tua dalam mengenalkan huruf hijaiyah pada anak di Gampong Pusong Lama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk dari partisipasi orang tua dalam mengajarkan baca tulis huruf hijaiyah anaknya, bagaimana respon orang tua terhadap kemampuan baca tulis  huruf hijaiyah anak, bagaimana respon orang tua terhadap kemampuan baca tulis  huruf hijaiyah anak dan apa faktor pendukung dan penghambat orang tua dalam mengajarkan baca tulis  huruf hijaiyah kepada anak. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan lapangan, dan pendekatan penelitiannya adalah kualitatif. Yang menjadi subjek penelitiaannya adalah orang tua yang memiliki anak umur 4-6 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data yang saya gunakan adalah wawancara, teknik analisis datanya adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Partisipasi orang tua terhadap baca dan tulis  huruf hijaiyah anak di Gampong Pusong Lama melalui wawancara dan menunjukkan hasil bahwa bentuk dari partisipasi orang tua adalah selalu menyediakan waktu untuk mengajarkan anaknya belajar, memilih TPA yang bagus untuk belajar. Faktor pendukung orang tua dalam keberhasilan belajar membaca dan menulis anaknya adalah pemberian motivasi, dorongan, serta dukungan kepada anak, juga menyediakan sarana yang memadai dan adapun faktor penghambat orang tua dalam keberhasilan anaknya belajar membaca dan menulis  huruf hijaiyah adalah Orang tua itu sendiri, sebagaimana kita tahu sifat orang tua yang acuh tak acuh kepada anak dan kurangnya pemberian dorongan dan motivasi dapat menghambat proses belajar anak.

Abstract

Learning activities at the basic education level, especially Madrasah Ibtidaiyah are expected to develop children's abilities and creativity well, this can be realized by preparing appropriate materials, methods and media in teaching and learning activities. In the learning process at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, namely MIN 3 and MIN 4 in Lhokseumawe City, it was found that currently teachers have used learning media, but the media is only in simple form and has not been used in all teaching materials. From the existing problems, it is necessary to design an activity that can support the development of teacher skills at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in order to better understand the concept of learning media accurately and be able to apply it directly in the learning process at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The method that will be implemented in this activity is the direct practicum method and the lecture method. Based on the results of the training and mentoring activities in this service activity, it can be concluded: 1) This training activity is able to inspire and motivate teachers in selecting and designing appropriate learning media and in accordance with the expected learning objectives; 2) The training that has been held is able to improve teacher competence and special skills in improving the quality of learning in each madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the perception of Early Childhood Education educators on entrance tests at the elementary school level, including (a) Early Childhood Education Educators' knowledge of the concept of Early Childhood Education; (b) knowledge of Early Childhood Education educators on the implementation of entrance tests; and (c) the attitude of Early Childhood Education educators towards the implementation of entrance tests at the elementary school level. This research approach is a qualitative research with the type of case study research. As for the results of this study, firstly, from the aspect of knowledge of Early Childhood Education educators on the concept of Early Childhood Education, it is known that there are still Early Childhood Education educators who do not yet know the concept of Early Childhood Education; second, from the aspect of Early Childhood Education educators' knowledge of the implementation of the elementary school entrance test in Lhokseumawe City, it shows that in general, Early Childhood Education educators already know about the forms of tests, but the application of the tests used to see developments in children is still inaccurate and third, the perception of Early Childhood Education educators on the implementation of the entrance test at the elementary school level in the city of Lhokseumawe is that educators do not agree with the implementation. This is considered to be able to shift the concept of learning early childhood education actually.

Abstract

The purpose of applying the plasticine playing method is expected to be able to develop the fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years so that they are able to draw according to their ideas, imitate shapes, use stationery correctly, cut according to patterns, paste pictures correctly, express themselves through detailed drawing movements and perform exploration with various media and activities. Qualitative research approach with the type of classroom action research. Sources of data in this study were children in the B3 group at Pembina Syamtalira Bayu TKN which consisted of 18 children and one teacher in the B3 group at Pembina Syamtalira Bayu TKN. Data collection techniques used are observation, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, describing data, and making conclusions. The results obtained are: 1) through initial observations, it 6was found that 12 children had not been able to arrange blocks as expected and only 6 children were able to arrange blocks into building shapes like those made by the teacher and could make various other buildings themselves so that it can be concluded that children's exploration abilities undeveloped. 2) After taking action in cycle 1, the condition of children's exploration abilities changed for the better with details: (a) 0% developed very well, (b) 16.67% developed as expected, (c) 15% began to develop, and (d) 0% undeveloped. 3) Based on the results in the second cycle, the results obtained are: (a) 94.44% of children's ability levels are very well developed, (b) 5.6% are developing as expected, (c) 0% are starting to develop, and (d) 0% are not yet developed. The success rate of children's exploration abilities can be said to be successful very good predicates. Besides being able to develop fine motor skills for children, the application of the play method can also develop children's logical thinking skills in recognizing shapes, sizes, or colors in the process of forming plasticine. Abstract

This program has a strong aim to improve the quality of education in Bireuen Regency by focusing on implementing a student-centered approach and the Merdeka Belajar curriculum. Through a series of workshops and intensive collaboration, the program has achieved significant results. The participants, consisting of teachers, supervisors, and principals, have experienced a deeper understanding of the student-centered approach, relevant learning strategies, and the Merdeka Belajar curriculum. The impact can be seen in the development of learning materials that are more suited to students' interests and needs, the creation of an inclusive learning environment, and strict monitoring and evaluation of program implementation. Apart from that, this program also makes a significant contribution in forming more competent educational leaders through the 3rd Generation Driving School Program. The target community for this program involves various stakeholders, including teachers, teaching staff, school principals, supervisors, and other parties. related. With a sharp focus on improving the quality of education, this program aims to have a broad and sustainable positive impact on the world of education in Bireuen Regency. Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Terpadu Al Muslimun melalui kegiatan pengabdian yang dilaksanakan di Pesantren Terpadu Al Muslimun. Berdasarkan Permendikbud Nomor 23 Tahun 2015 tentang Gerakan Literasi Sekolah, kegiatan ini mengacu pada upaya meningkatkan minat baca siswa di lingkungan sekolah. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 15 Februari - 7 Maret 2023 dengan melibatkan siswa-siswa MITA (Madrasah Almuslimun Terpadu Almuslimun). Terdapat tiga kegiatan training/pelatihan yang efektif dalam upaya meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Pertama, kegiatan bedah buku dan menulis resensi buku dilakukan untuk menganalisis dan memahami buku-buku yang dibaca oleh siswa. Kedua, kegiatan kelompok diskusi buku digunakan untuk mendorong siswa untuk berdiskusi dan berbagi pemahaman mereka tentang buku. Terakhir, kegiatan sumbang buku dilakukan untuk memperkaya perpustakaan madrasah dengan buku-buku baru dan bermutu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan bedah buku, kelompok diskusi buku, dan sumbang buku memiliki dampak yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Melalui kegiatan ini, siswa tidak hanya mengembangkan pemahaman, keterampilan kritis, dan pengetahuan, tetapi juga memperluas wawasan dan membentuk komunitas pembaca yang aktif. Dengan adanya lingkungan literasi yang merangsang dan akses yang memadai, diharapkan minat baca siswa di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Terpadu Al Muslimun dapat meningkat secara signifikan. Diharapkan pengabdian ini dapat memperkuat budaya literasi dalam lingkungan pendidikan, membuka wawasan siswa, serta memberikan dampak positif dalam peningkatan minat baca siswa di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Terpadu Al Muslimun.

Abstract

The learning environment in early childhood education institutions still faces challenges in implementing the values of cleanliness, neatness, health, and security (K4 Pillars). This study aims to develop a K4 Pillar module based on local wisdom through an ethnoscience approach within the context of early childhood education. The research employs the Educational Design Research (EDR) method to produce an innovative educational product. The subjects of the study include randomly selected early childhood students and teachers. Data collection methods encompass questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Data analysis utilizes statistical techniques for quantitative data and thematic analysis for qualitative data. The research findings indicate that the majority of students (87.5%) strongly support the use of the module as a learning tool, emphasizing its critical role in early childhood education. However, most teachers (62.5%) did not attempt to link the module with local wisdom, and 75% did not employ an ethnoscience approach, highlighting the need for increased teacher engagement in integrating local cultural elements and ethnoscience concepts into teaching. High levels of support from both students and teachers (87.5%) for the local wisdom-based module with an ethnoscience approach underscore its potential to enhance the effectiveness of early childhood education. The study concludes that the local wisdom-based module with an ethnoscience approach has significant potential to improve the effectiveness of early childhood education.
