Abstract

Abstract. Several media that can be utilized for English language learning in the classroom include audio-visual media, flashcards, interactive maps, and more.Among the audio-visual media, films are noteworthy. Through films, teachers encourage students to grasp the storyline by reading English subtitles. Dubbing isa technique used to mimic the voices of actors in the film, sparking students' interest in English communication. On the other hand, subtitling involves transcribing film dialogues displayed at the bottom of the screen. Students can participate in diverse activities to improve their English comprehension. Thesemethods enable students to enrich their vocabularies, practice pronunciation, and enhance literacy. Teachers may also assign tasks for students to write about the moral lessons learned from the films. Numerous other engaging activities can be incorporated through these methods to bolster students' understanding of learning English.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to figure out what students thought about using podcasts to improve their speaking skills. To investigate students' perceptions, the researcher utilized a qualitative technique using a basic interpretative design. This research included two students. They are from various high school students in the academic year 2022/2023. The information was acquired through a semi-structured interview. The researcher used thematic analysis to get the data. According to the findings of this research, researchers classified two aspects: speaking skills and podcast benefits. The findings should indicate that students had a favorable opinion of the use of podcasts in learning to speak. Students considered podcasts to be engaging media since they have a variety of materials or themes to which they may listen and practice their speaking whenever they want. The researcher also hopes that students will agree that podcasts are useful for speaking achievement, such as increasing vocabulary and word pronunciation.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning berbantuan Virtual Lab PhET di MAS Ulumuddin Lhokseumawe, Penelitian ini menerapkan metode Quasi Eksperimen dengan desain non equivalent control group. Teknik pengambilan sampelnya adalah purposive sampling, terdiri dari 50 siswa, di mana 25 siswa di kelas XI-D sebagai kelas eksperimen serta 25 siswa pada kelas XI-C sebagai kelas kontrol di MAS Ulumuddin Lhokseumawe. Metode pengumpulan data terdiri dari tes pilihan ganda serta non-tes berupa angket. Untuk analisis data, dilakukan uji prasyarat seperti normalitas dan homogenitas, serta uji hipotesis dan NGain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata Posttest eksperimen 80,52 dan Posttest kelas kontrol yaitu 67,52. Sesuai hasil uji hipotesis dengan uji parametrik yaitu independent t-Test, H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, karena hasil sig 2-tailed sebesar 0,001 lebih kecil dari signifikan 0,05 atau terdapat pengaruh model Problem Based Learning berbantuan Virtual Lab PhET terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep. Sedangkan hasil rata-rata N-Gain score untuk kelas eksperimen yaitu 0,7, termasuk kategori tinggi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman konsep pada kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model Problem Based Learning berbantuan Virtual lab PhET.

Abstract

The mentoring of teachers in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is a strategic step to ensure the success of educational reform in Indonesia. At MTs and MA Darul Falah, this mentoring includes planning, execution, and evaluation, focusing on enhancing teachers' competencies as well as applying innovative teaching strategies and methods. The main objective of this mentoring is to improve the understanding of teachers at MTs and MA Darul Falah regarding the principles and practices of the Merdeka Curriculum. This approach uses a qualitative method with observation and documentation study. Observations were conducted during face-to-face Forum Group Discussions (FGD) and during mentoring sessions at MTs and MA Darul Falah. The results of the mentoring show that teachers experienced an increase in their understanding and skills related to the Merdeka Curriculum. The service activities resulted in an average posttest score of 8.8, with an n-gain increase reaching 0.81, categorized as very good. Additionally, the mentoring was effective in creating Merdeka Curriculum administrative instruments, achieving a suitability rate of 87.5%. The high posttest scores indicate successful knowledge transfer, while the high satisfaction level of participants reflects strong approval of the training and mentoring provided. Active discussions and experience sharing during the activities allowed teachers to find joint solutions to learning challenges. It is hoped that this mentoring will prepare teachers at MTs and MA Darul Falah to prepare curriculum changes, enhance their motivation and confidence in teaching according to the Merdeka Curriculum, and foster collaboration and innovation in teaching practices.

Abstract

Tafsir Al-Bayan, a work of interpretation of the Qur'an produced by a person named M. Hasby Ash-Shiddieqy which was published in 1966 AD. This work is one of the prominent examples of Indonesian tafsir in the 20th century, which seeks to bridge the understanding of Al-Bayan. -Qur'an through the social and cultural realities of Indonesian society. This article will examine the distinctive characteristics of Tafsir Al-Bayan, such as the use of Indonesian that is easy to understand, the emphasis on moral and social values, and the relevance of the message of the Al-Qur'an to the lives of Indonesian people.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa permasalahan yaitu dalam proses pembelajaran di SD N 04 Rantih masih menggunakan LKS belum menggunakan LKPD yang dikembangkan oleh pendidik. LKS yang digunakan belum berbasis model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan aktifitas belajar peserta didik.Proses pembelajaran masih berlangsung secara pasif dimana peserta didik hanya mendengarkan apa yang disampaikan pendidik sehingga menurunnya aktivitas peserta didik dalam belajar. Peserta didik juga kurang berkeinginan untuk berkerja sama dan kurang saling bertukar pikiran dengan teman sekelas.Berdasarkan hal tersebut dikembangkan LKPD berbasis model Kooperatif tipeThink Pair Share (TPS). Model Kooperatif tipeThink Pair Share (TPS) merupakan suatu model pembelajaran yang mengajarkan peserta didik untuk aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD berbasis model Kooperatif tipeThink Pair Share (TPS) yang valid, dan praktis. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4-D yang terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development) dan penyebarluasan (dissemination). Berdasarkan hasil validasi LKPD berbasis model Kooperatif tipeThink Pair Share (TPS) pada pembelajaran tematik terpadu menyatakan LKPD ini sangat valid dengan persentase validasi 91,65%, dari hasil uji praktikalitas menyatakan sangat praktis dengan persentase 91,17% bagi pendidik dan 93,51% bagi peserta didik. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan LKPD berbasis model Kooperatif tipeThink Pair Share (TPS)pada pembelajaran tematik terpadu di kelas V Sekolah Dasar sudah sangat valid dan praktis.

Abstract

The learning environment in early childhood education institutions still faces challenges in implementing the values of cleanliness, neatness, health, and security (K4 Pillars). This study aims to develop a K4 Pillar module based on local wisdom through an ethnoscience approach within the context of early childhood education. The research employs the Educational Design Research (EDR) method to produce an innovative educational product. The subjects of the study include randomly selected early childhood students and teachers. Data collection methods encompass questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Data analysis utilizes statistical techniques for quantitative data and thematic analysis for qualitative data. The research findings indicate that the majority of students (87.5%) strongly support the use of the module as a learning tool, emphasizing its critical role in early childhood education. However, most teachers (62.5%) did not attempt to link the module with local wisdom, and 75% did not employ an ethnoscience approach, highlighting the need for increased teacher engagement in integrating local cultural elements and ethnoscience concepts into teaching. High levels of support from both students and teachers (87.5%) for the local wisdom-based module with an ethnoscience approach underscore its potential to enhance the effectiveness of early childhood education. The study concludes that the local wisdom-based module with an ethnoscience approach has significant potential to improve the effectiveness of early childhood education.

Abstract

Abstract Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education has been widely discussed by academics, especially vocational education. However, the knowledge of vocational students/prospective teachers about Science, Technology, Engineering STEM is still limited. The purpose of this research is to describe the perceptions of prospective vocational teachers regarding STEM. This research is a descriptive research using survey method. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire. The data collected was analyzed using percentage techniques. The results of the study show that there are positive perceptions among prospective vocational teachers about STEM education and they agree to implement the education curriculum in Indonesia. Students stated that the relationship between STEM components was integrated with each other. Most students believe that STEM is suitable for application at every level of education, STEM can link the classroom learning process with the phenomena of everyday life, STEM is suitable for Mechanical Engineering Vocational learning, STEM relates to problem solving abilities, and STEM can be a preference for choosing work in future. Abstract

This research aims to develop an Interactive Physics E-Multimedia based on STEM Education to enhance students' scientific literacy and 21st-century skills, including communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. The study follows a Research and Development (R&D) method with three stages: analysis and exploration, design and construction, as well as evaluation and reflection. The product trials were conducted with 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe. The findings reveal that the use of interactive E-multimedia is effective in improving students' understanding, with an average post-test score of 80.4 compared to a pre-test score of only 35.2. Expert validation indicates that the product is suitable for use, with an average score of 85 for content, 82.85 for construction, and 80 for design. The product's practicality was also rated highly by both students and teachers, with an average score of 4.09 out of 5. Additionally, students showed strong interest in the interactive and easily accessible digital learning media. Thus, the STEM-based interactive physics E-multimedia is effective in enhancing scientific literacy and 21st-century skills, making it a valuable tool for supporting self-directed learning

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menyosialisasikan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) kepada guru Fisika SMA di Kota Lhokseumawe sebagai upaya mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai keberlanjutan dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan survei awal, sebagian besar guru memiliki pengetahuan terbatas tentang SDGs dan menghadapi tantangan seperti kurangnya referensi, hambatan teknis, dan beban kurikulum. Pelatihan dirancang secara sistematis, mencakup pengenalan SDGs, hubungan SDGs dengan konsep Fisika, serta strategi penyusunan rencana pembelajaran berbasis SDGs. Hasil monitoring dan evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman guru sebesar 45%, dengan 80% peserta berhasil mengintegrasikan SDGs dalam pembelajaran. Dampak kegiatan juga terlihat pada antusiasme siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis isu global. Dengan pengembangan lebih lanjut, seperti penyediaan modul pembelajaran dan pelatihan lanjutan, program ini berpotensi diperluas ke wilayah lain dan mata pelajaran lain untuk mendukung pencapaian SDGs melalui sektor pendidikan.
