Abstract

Dalam proses pembelajaran, media pembelajaran merupakan hal penting yang dibutuhkan, agar pelajaran dapat diserap dan dipahami dengan mudah oleh para pelajar. Begitu pula di Rumah Tahfidz ar-Ridho, diperlukan media pembelajaran yang baik agar kegiatan belajar mengajar terutama bahasa Arab berjalan dengan baik da n efisien. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian Mitra Masyarakat (PKM) di rumah tahfdz Ar-Ridho ini adalah meningkatkan motivasi dan semangat belajar bagi para santri. Selanjutnya, tujuan jangka panjangnya adalah mengharapkan setiap santri fasih berbahasa Arab, menguasai ilmu pembelajaran bahasa Arab, dan mengaplikasikannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Sumber data diperoleh dari Rumah Tahfidz Al-Qur’an Ar-Ridho di Jalan Abdul Hakim, Gang Masjid , Kelurahan Tanjung Sari, Kecamatan Medan Selayang, Kota Medan, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Jenis data berupa data primer berdasarkan wawancara, survei, dan observasi langsung di RTQ Ar-Ridho. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam 2 tahapan, tahap pertama adalah pembelajaran bahasa Arab menggunakan peralatan yang diberikan, yaitu berupa LED proyektor, layar proyektor dan papan tulis. Kemudian, tahap kedua adalah penyerahan peralatan-peralatan tersebut dan pengarahan oleh tim kepada santri tahfiz mengenai cara menggunakan peralatan-peralatan yang diberikan. Pengabdian ini berjalan dengan baik, dapat dilihat dari keterampilan santri dalam mengoperasikan LED proyektor, serta bertambahnya wawasan santri mengenai pembelajaran menggunakan peralatan audio visual yang lebih efektif dan menyenangkan. In the learning process, learning media is an important thing needed, so that lessons can be absorbed and understood easily by students. Likewise, at the Tahfidz ar-Ridho House, a good learning media is needed so that teaching and learning activities, especially Arabic, run well and efficiently. The purpose of this Community Partner Service (PKM) activity at Tahfdz Ar-Ridho's house is to increase motivation and enthusiasm for learning for students. Furthermore, the long-term goal is to expect every santri to be fluent in Arabic, master the knowledge of learning Arabic, and apply it in daily life. The data source was obtained from the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Ar-Ridho House on Abdul Hakim Street, Masjid Alley, Tanjung Sari Village, Medan Selayang District, Medan City, North Sumatra Province. The type of data is primary data based on interviews, surveys, and direct observations at RTQ Ar-Ridho. This service is carried out in 2 stages, the first stage is learning Arabic using the equipment provided, namely in the form of an LED projector, a projector screen and a whiteboard. Then, the second stage was the handing over of the equipment and direction by the team to tahfiz students on how to use the equipment provided. This service is going well, it can be seen from the skills of students in operating LED projectors, as well as the increasing insight of students about learning to use audio-visual equipment that is more effective and fun.

Abstract

The changes that have hit the world in the 21st century have entered the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The education sector will also be disrupted from the revolutionary era. The problems of various human activities in the world of education, such as ethics, will more or less affect the culture, direction, and progress of an organization. And the era of disruption can be seen from the development of information technology as a basis in human life. Many things have changed and become borderless with the use of unlimited computing power and data. Seeing the gap in the shift in national education, the Ministry of Education and Culture launched the Independent Learning Campus policy. Universities are expected to be able to answer the challenges of the Industrial 4.0 era through curriculum development by aligning technological literacy skills and human literacy. The method used is the Mix Method, qualitative and quantitative.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pelayanan dan produktivitas ekonomi usaha cuci kendaraan Zhafran sehingga dapat menjadi kelompok masyarakat yang mandiri secara ekonomi dan sosial. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah dengan melakukan survei, analisis kebutuhan, dan serangkain kegiatan untuk mengatasi masalah. Kegiatan yang terakhir meliputi koordinasi antara tim pengabdian masyarakat dengan mitra, pelatihan bagaimana meningkatkan pendapatan dan pemeliharaan peralatan, dan pemberian satu set peralatan yang dapat digunakan baik untuk mencuci kendaraan maupun untuk mengatur tekanan udara ban. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan memberikan langsung satu set peralatan cuci kendaraan yang telah dirakit dengan kompresor udara. Tim pengabdian juga melatih mitra cara menghubungkan selang air dengan kompresor udara. Selain itu, mitra juga dilatih cara melakukan perawatan mesin. Berdasarkan keseluruhan rangkaian kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh tim, diperoleh hasil bahwa mitra memiliki tambahan pengetahuan tentang cara mengoperasikan dan melakukan perawatan mesin agar awet meskipun digunakan setiap hari. Mitra juga semakin termotivasi untuk menjalankan usahanya karena adanya penggantian mesin lama dengan yang baru.

Abstract

Flood is an event of inundation of land, which is usually dry, by water originating from water sources around the land. Binjai City is an area prone to flash floods. This is because in Binjai City there are 5 (five) upstream rivers namely the Bingei river, Mencirim river, Bangkatan river, Diski river and Rambai river. A flood early warning system is a series of systems that function to notify an impending flood disaster. With the existence of a flood early warning system, it can provide information to the community and can reduce victims or losses due to the community's unpreparedness in dealing with flood disasters. This study aims to create a prototype of a river flood early warning system based on the internet of things (IoT). The method used is to design and create a flood early warning system prototype, then perform system testing. The system is designed using the Arduino Mega2560 microcontroller as the system control center, the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors and the ESP32-Cam camera module as system input, as well as buzzer, LCD and website as system output. The transmission medium used is wireless via a 4G WiFi Modem connected to the internet. System prototype testing will be carried out in the Bangkatan river area in Binjai City. From the results of the discussion, it was found that the river flood warning system using the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor and the ESP32-Cam camera module based on the Internet of Things was successfully designed and implemented in prototype form and worked well. Ultrasonic sensors work well in measuring river water level with an average error percentage of 3.642%. The ESP32-Cam camera module works well in capturing images of river water conditions up to a distance of 200 cm. (9 pt).

Abstract

The Langkat Regency Government has collaborated with PLN to meet electricity needs in remote villages, but there are several obstacles, so these efforts cannot be achieved evenly. Therefore, in efforts to improve the quality of life and economic growth of rural communities, energy has a big role. Where this research discusses the availability of electricity in rural areas, it is hoped that it can encourage increased productivity, improve educational facilities, worship, health, as well as foster new economic activities. In order to meet the energy needs of rural communities, local governments are trying to implement various energy infrastructure development activities by utilizing the potential of local energy sources. One potential energy that can be developed is solar power plants (PLTS) for electricity in rural areas. This service activity can essentially facilitate the procurement of PLTS equipment which will be placed in a Grand Mosque in Desan Selayang as a pilot.

Abstract

We need a tool that can measure river water levels automatically based on IoT so that water level data can be received in real time. This tool uses an Arduino microcontroller which functions to convert analog data into digital by measuring water level using an ultrasonic sensor so that the data can be converted into digital water level data and displayed via the internet and a buzzer or siren as a danger warning when the water level rises high as well as water level data. can be monitored as a whole. Apart from that, this tool is equipped with LoRa communication. This LoRa can send signals as far as 15 km without obstructions, so even if there is no internet, this tool can still work and can be used in areas without electricity because it uses solar cells as a power supply. If the water reaches the maximum limit, the siren will sound and stop again when the water in the river is at normal level.

Abstract

The furniture industry is a potential sector to be developed in Indonesia because it is supported by the availability of abundant natural resources in the country. This furniture market opportunity will continue to grow in the future but must be supported by production factors, namely the provision of quality raw materials, capital and skilled labor. However, this industry is not free from problems such as the quality of raw materials. Wood raw materials in Indonesia are abundant but there is no special treatment to maintain its quality, so the quality of production is hampered. Good wood raw materials are raw materials that avoid damage and weathering. To maintain this quality, the ideal requirement for room temperature for storage is 18oC and room humidity 65%. Changes in temperature and humidity in the storage warehouse always follow changes in temperature and humidity around it. For this reason, further studies are needed on the temperature and humidity monitoring system in the storage warehouse and if there are significant changes, a dehumidifier device is used to keep the temperature and humidity in a room stable.

Abstract

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is a protective measure aimed at ensuring workers remain safe and healthy while performing their duties in the workplace. OHS planning aims to create a comprehensive occupational safety and health management system within the workers' scope. The telecommunications industry is one of the sectors that implements OHS principles. Workers in the telecommunications industry face higher occupational accident risks due to direct interaction with heavy objects, sharp materials, electricity, and working at heights. This research aims to design a smart helmet prototype integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) to monitor safety for telecommunications industry workers. The system to be developed consists of a PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) helmet equipped with an IoT system. The PPE helmet is integrated with an ESP32 microcontroller, LDR sensor, gyroscope sensor, and GPS module, utilizing wireless transmission media connected to an IoT Cloud server that links the microcontroller system with users. The designed system can monitor whether workers are wearing helmets properly, and monitoring results are transmitted in real-time via Telegram, enabling early warnings if potential hazards threaten workers. The research will be tested at PT. Mitra Globalindo Nusantara, a company engaged in fiber optic telecommunications construction. From the discussion results, it was found that the IoT-based safety monitoring system for telecommunications industry workers using LDR sensors, gyroscope sensors, GPS modules, and Telegram monitoring was successfully designed and implemented as a well-functioning prototype. The Telegram application successfully sends notifications regarding the worker's safety condition, including alerts when the helmet is not worn, tilted, or has fallen. The response time for sending and receiving notifications via Telegram was recorded between 1.5 to 2.2 seconds, which is considered acceptable for real-time monitoring systems.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan daya jual ayam katsu di Pasar 3, Kecamatan Medan Selayang melalui pemanfaatan freezer box dan digitalisasi pemasaran. Dengan menggunakan freezer box, produk ayam katsu dapat disimpan dalam kondisi optimal, sehingga menjaga kualitas dan kesegaran produk. Selain itu, digitalisasi melalui aplikasi berbasis smartphone memungkinkan pelaku usaha untuk memasarkan produk secara efektif, menjangkau lebih banyak konsumen, dan meningkatkan interaksi dengan pelanggan. Metode yang digunakan dalam PKM ini meliputi pelatihan dan pendampingan bagi mitra (KATSUKU) tentang cara penggunaan freezer box serta teknik pemasaran digital. Hasil dari kegiatan ini  peningkatan signifikan dalam penjualan ayam katsu dimana sebelum penggunaan freezer box, rata-rata penjualan harian ayam katsu berkisar 8–10 porsi per pedagang. Setelah penerapan freezer box selama empat minggu, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam penjualan, yakni mencapai rata-rata 15–18 porsi per hari atau naik sekitar 80%, serta feedback positif dari konsumen terkait kualitas produk. Selain itu, mitra juga merasakan kemudahan dalam menjangkau pelanggan baru melalui media sosial dan aplikasi pesan. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan freezer box dan digitalisasi terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan daya jual ayam katsu di Pasar 3, Kecamatan Medan Selayang, serta memberikan dampak positif bagi perekonomian local ke depannya.

Abstract

Perkembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi pada dasarnya sangat mendukung proses belajar mengajar dalam bentuk media pembelajaran. Adapun salah satu yang menjadi media pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah Aplikasi Canva. Aplikasi ini termasuk jenis aplikasi yang mudah untuk diakses serta memiliki template yang beragam jumlahnya sehingga dapat digunakan untuk berbagai jenis materi. Adapun tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian Kemitraan Masyarakat adalah untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan mitra seperti Belum adanya penerapan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas, Tidak adanya fasilitas teknologi persentasi yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran seperti infokus dan layar proyektor, Belum pernah menerapkan media pembuatan pembelajaran menggunakan Aplikasi Canva di sekolah tersebut, serta Minimnya pengetahuan tenaga pengajar di SMK Swasta Quickly Medan dalam menggunakan teknologi untuk proses pembelajaran. Menjawab permasalahan ini maka tim pengabdian melakukan kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan kepada guru-guru di sekolah tersebut. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan metode sosialisasi dan pelatihan yang dibuat secara berkelompok yang didampingi oleh tim pelaksana pengabdian. adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini adalah para peserta atau guru melalui sosialisasi mendapatkan pengetahuan baru tentang Aplikasi Canva dan melalui pelatihan guru dapat menggunakan aplikasi tersebut. Dengan demikian pendampingan masih harus tetap dilakukan dengan membangun komunikasi yang baik kepada para guru agar semakin mahir dalam membuat media pembelajaran yang menarik. Peningkatan pengetahuan guru ini tetap dibekali dengan adanya modul atau petunjuk penggunaan Aplikasi Canva yang telah diserahkan oleh tim pengabdian kepada guru dan sekolah. Selain itu agar pembelajaran tetap melibatkan teknologi maka tim pengabdi juga menyerahkan inventaris sebagai pertinggal untuk menunjang inovasi guru menjadi lebih bagus dalam membuat dan memanfaatkan teknologi pada Aplikasi Canva.
