Abstract

This study aimed to determine the profit obtained by seaweed farmers if they changed the seaweed species from Eucheuma spinosum into Kappaphycus alvarezii. The study was conducted in Kaledupa Sub-District, Wakatobi District. The study population was all seaweed farmers totaling 60 people, consisting of 12 seaweed farmers of Kappaphycus alvarezii and 48 seaweed farmers of Eucheuma spinosum. The determination of the sample used census method. The types and sources of research data were primary and secondary data. Research data collection techniques were direct interview and literature studies. Research variables included variable costs, fixed costs, total costs, prices, production, revenue, and income. The analysis of the data used was partial budget analysis. The results showed that the profits obtained by seaweed farmers in Kaledupa Sub-District, Wakatobi District in changing the seaweed species from Eucheuma spinosum into Kappaphycus alvarezii amounted to IDR 2,185,498.3 per one production process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the competitiveness of soybean farming in Landawe District, North Konawe Regency. The study was conducted in December 2019. The population in the study were all soybean farmers, amounting to 49 people. Determination of the sample using the census method. Types and sources of data in the study include primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used in research are direct interviews with respondents and literature studies. Variables in the study include revenue, tradable inputs, non-tradable inputs, production, private prices, and social prices. Analysis of the data used is the Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM). The results showed that soybean farming in Landawe Subdistrict, North Konawe District has competitive competitiveness, which is the value of the ratio of private costs (Private Cost Ratio) of 0.30 smaller than one, which means that to produce a product requires a smaller additional cost. However, it does not have comparative competitiveness because the value of the ratio of domestic resource cost ratio is greater than one, namely 5.07 which means inefficient farming

Abstract

This study aims to determine what factors influence land conversion from lowland rice plantations to lime plantations in Watabenua Village, Landono District. The population in this study were all farmers who had converted land in Watabenua Village, Landono District, South Konawe Regency, and as many as 33 people, where all were used as samples by the census method 33 respondents. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study are the factors that affect the conversion of land from lowland rice plantations to lime plantations in Watabenua Village are the cost of citrus production. In contrast, the factors that do not affect land conversion are rice income, the distance between irrigation water sources to rice fields, the price of another product, namely oranges.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors causing the transfer of commodity cocoa to maize in Bangsala Village, Porehu Sub District, North Kolaka District, and the impact of commodity transfer of cocoa to corn on farmers' income. The research location was determined with the consideration that Bangsala Village had the largest number of farmer households that shifted commodities compared to other villages. The number of samples in this study was 49 people while the methods used in this study were descriptive analysis, income analysis, and t-test. The results showed that the factors that influenced the farmers to switch from cocoa commodities to corn were technical factors including hard cacao care, pests and diseases that were difficult to control, and the old age of the cocoa plants. Economic factors include low selling prices, lower production, and low-profit rates. Social factors include seeing the success of friends, following friends, and their own beliefs. The impact of the conversion of cocoa commodities to corn is seen in the increased income of farmers, farmers have additional income from their cocoa plantations, namely corn plants. It is clear here that the conversion of cocoa plant commodities to corn has a positive impact on the community in Bangsala Village, Porehu District, North Kolaka Regency. The sig (2-tailed) value is 0.000 <0.05, that is, there is a significant difference between the income of the respondent farmers on the cornfield and on the cocoa field, thus the commodity transfer affects the farmer's income

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in farming income for the cropping system of the patchouli cacao intercropping system and the cocoa monoculture system in the Puduria Jaya Village Buke Sub District South Konawe District. This research was conducted in Puduria Jaya Village Buke Sub District, South Konawe District in 2019. The determination of research respondents was carried out by proportional stratified random sampling. Methods of data analysis using income analysis and t-test. The results showed that the average income of patchouli intercropping farmers was IDR 16,172,200 / ha and the income of cocoa monoculture farmers was IDR 3,904,783 / ha. The income of patchouli cocoa intercropping farmers and cocoa monocultures shows a significant difference where the income of patchouli cacao intercropping patterns is greater than that of cocoa monocultures.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat seberapa besar pendapatan yang dapat diperoleh melalui budidaya tambak bandeng di Kabupaten Konawe pada daerah sekitar aktivitas pertambangan. Kecamatan Bondoala merupakan salah satu sentra produksi bandeng terbesar dan terluas di Kabupaten Konawe. Oleh karena itu dipilih untuk penelitian. Pemilihan lokasi juga didasarkan pada kenyataan bahwa di Kecamatan Bondoala terdapat perusahaan pertambangan yang dekat dengan pemukiman masyarakat, yang akan berdampak pada kondisi tambak secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan 24 responden sebagai sampel. Analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis pendapatan usahatani tambak ikan bandeng. Hasil analisis menunjukkan pendapatan yang dihasilkan dalam satu musim tanam (enam bulan), budidaya tambak bandeng sebesar Rp 6.079.847.ABSTRACTThis study aims to see how much income can be obtained through milkfish pond cultivation in Konawe Regency in the area around mining activities. Bondoala District is one of the largest and most comprehensive milkfish production centers in the Konawe Regency. Therefore it was selected for research. The location selection is also based on the fact that in the Bondoala District, there are mining companies close to community settlements, which will impact the condition of the ponds directly or indirectly. In this study, 24 respondents were used as samples. Quantitative descriptive data analysis was used to analyze the income of milkfish pond farming. The analysis results show that the income generated in one growing season (six months), milkfish pond cultivation is IDR6,079,847.Keywords: Milkfish Pond; Mining Activities; Konawe Regency

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for food for the local community of Southeast Sulawesi Province. Food diversification by preserving local food, sago, and brown rice from upland rice. Foodstuffs that are handled differently are first handled in groups for sago and done by farmers and their families for upland rice. The study aimed to analyze the differences in income between sago processing farmers and upland rice farmers. The research was conducted in two locations, namely: (1) sago processing group in Lameuru Village, West Ranomeeto District, South Konawe Regency, and (2) upland rice farmers in Bubu Village, Kambowa District, North Buton Regency. Determination of research locations by purposive for as many as ten people for sago processors. By Simple Random Sampling for upland rice farmers as many as 24 people. The analytical tool used is descriptive analysis with a t-test. According to the findings, sago processors' average monthly income was IDR1,791,400.00, more than Indonesian farmers' average monthly income of IDR1,600,000 in 2016. Upland rice farmers earn an average of IDR1,116,726.20 per month, more than the IDR1,000,000.00 per month average for Indonesian farmers in 2017. The results of the t-test showed a significant difference between the income of sago processors and the average income of upland rice farmers.

Abstract

Sawerigadi Subdistrict has additional residential land due to the increase in population, so the purpose of this study is to analyze the pattern of settlement growth in Sawerigadi Subdistrict, West Muna Regency, and (2) to analyze the carrying capacity of land in accordance with settlement growth in Sawerigadi District, West Muna Regency. The method used is the analysis of settlement patterns, and analysis of the suitability of settlement land. The result of this research is that the pattern of settlement growth in Sawerigadi District, West Muna Regency is spread out in each village. The population capacity in 2020 and 2030 in Sawerigadi District is generally still sufficient. Keywords: Land Capacity, SettlementKecamatan Saweigadi terjadi penambahan lahan permukiman karena bertambahnya jumlah penduduk, maka tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengalisis pola pertumbuhan permukiman di Kecamatan Sawerigadi Kabupaten Muna Barat, dan (2) untuk menganalisis daya dukung lahan sesuai dengan pertumbuhan permukiman di Kecamatan Sawerigadi Kabupaten Muna Barat. Metode yang digunakan yaitu analisis pola permukiman, dan analisis kesesuaian lahan permukiman. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu pola pertumbuhan permukiman diKecamatan Sawerigadi Kabupaten Muna Barat adalah menyebar pada masing-masing desa. Daya tampung penduduk tahun 2020 dan tahun 2030 Kecamatan Sawerigadi pada umumnya masih mencukupi.Kata Kunci : Daya Tampung, Permukiman

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the economic impact of developing bokori island tourism on local Bajo communities. This research was conducted at the center of the tourist site of Bokori Island, namely in Mekar Village, Soropia District, Konawe Regency. The sample is determined by several categories, namely 58 local people using the slovin method, 5 business units determined by purposive sampling and the workforce determined by the census. This study is survey research that uses quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. Analysis of the data used is Marine Ecotourism for Atlantic Area (META) (2001), which is measured using two types of multipliers, namely Keynesian local income multiplier effect, and income multiplier ratio, namely the value that shows how much the direct impact of visitor spending has an impact on the local economy. The research result is the value of economic impact obtained from the Keynesian Income Multiplier value of 0.1, the value of the Type I Ratio Income Multiplier is 1.6, and the value of the Type II Ratio Income Multiplier is 2.0 The value of the multiplier effect is one (= 1 ) shows that the existence of a tourist attraction in Bokori Island has an economic impact and affects the economy of the local community. Although the Keynesian Income Multiplier value shows that the economic impact of Pualu Bokori tourism development is still low.
