Abstract

Penggunaan modus tuturan dalam tuturan ekspresif seringkali berbeda dengan fungsi yang sebenarnya. Hal ini tentunya sangat menarik untuk dikaji lebih mendalam sehingga ketepatan antara fungsi tuturan dengan modus tuturan yang digunakan sesuai atau tidak. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai upaya melihat penggunaan modus tuturan pada tindak tutur ekspresif yang digunakan oleh para tokoh dalam dialog novel Orang-Orang Biasa karya Andrea Hirata. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi dari data tertulis berupa novel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tindak tutur direktif dituturkan dengan menggunakan modus tuturan ekspresif interogatif terdapat 2 data yaitu dalam fungsi tuturan permintaan maaf. Modus tuturan ekspresif imperatif terdapat 15 data yaitu dalam fungsi tuturan mengkritik 3 data, dalam fungsi tuturan permintaan maaf 1 data, dalam fungsi tuturan mengungkapkan rasa kesal 2 data, dalam fungsi tuturan menyindir 3 data, dalam fungsi tuturan merasa bahagia 3 data, dalam fungsi tuturan memberikan pujian 1 data, dalam fungsi tuturan memberi salam/menyapa 1 data, dan dalam fungsi tuturan terima kasih 1 data. Modus tuturan ekspresif deklaratif terdapat 22 data yaitu dalam fungsi tuturan permintaan maaf 15 data, dalam fungsi tuturan terima kasih 5 data, dalam fungsi tuturan menyindir 1 data dan dalam fungsi tuturan mengeluh 1 data.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Pelanggaran Prinsip Kesopanan Pada Sinear Sruput Nendang Marlo dan Marco di Kanal Youtube“. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 25 data yang termasuk ke dalam pelanggaran maksim kesopanan berbahasa yang digunakan oleh penutur dan mitra tutur yang ada di dalam podcast ini. Data pelanggaran maksim kesopanan yang paling banyak didapatkan yaitu pelanggaran pada maksim pujian sebanyak 9 data, selanjutnya pelanggaran maksim simpati sebanyak 5 data, pelanggaran maksim kesepakatan sebanyak 4 data, maksim kedermawanan dan maksim kesederhanaan yang masing-masingnya terdapat 3 data dan terakhir maksim kebijaksanaan sebanyak 1 data. faktor penyebab pelanggaran maksim kesopanan berbahasa dalam podcast ini menghasilkan temuan berupa beberapa faktor. Pertama faktor usia diantara penutur dan mitra tutur, lalu faktor hubungan yang sudah berjalan di antara penutur dan mitra tutur, terakhir faktor pendidikan yang menjadi hasil dari analisis faktor terjadinya pelanggaran prinsip kesopanan.

Abstract

TOEFL (Test of English as Foreign Language) training is a necessity for students in Islamic boarding schools, especially for final year students who will take the TOEFL test as one of the requirements for graduation or when entering the world of work. One of the pesantrens that is used as a partner is Pesantren Al-Mashduqie, Kamal, Bangkalan. The main problem faced by the partner is the lack of understanding related to TOEFL so that the TOEFL scores of students in the AlMashduqie Islamic Boarding School are still not in line with the expected target. Therefore, community service activities carried out by the academic community in the English Literature Study Program need to be carried out as a form of practicing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The purpose of this activity is to increase the TOEFL score of students in the Al-Mashduqie Islamic Boarding School in Bangkalan Regency. The dedication method used during the training activities are the lecture method, question and answer, and practice working on TOEFL questions in accordance with the material that has been prepared by the presenters. The results of the community service activities show that there is an increase in the TOEFL score of students in Al-Mashduqie Islamic Boarding School environment, Kamal, Bangkalan

Abstract

Advancements in technology have facilitated a more accessible learning experience for students, with the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) emerging as a prominent trend in the study of literary works. This qualitative descriptive study aims to explore students' perspectives on the use of ICT in the Introduction to Literature curriculum. Understanding students' viewpoints on ICT usage in this context serves as valuable evaluation material, enabling educators to formulate new policies pertaining to instructional methods for future Introduction to Literature courses. Data for this research was gathered through a questionnaire administered via Google Form to students enrolled in the Introduction to Literature course, yielding responses from 52 participants who randomly selected from students who had taken the Introduction to Literature course at STKIP PGRI Bangkalan. The collected questionnaire data was subjected to analysis involving data reduction, interpretation, and the formulation of conclusions. The findings reveal a highly positive outlook among students regarding the integration of ICT into their learning experience. A significant majority, 51.92%, expressed agreement with the incorporation of ICT in Introduction to Literature instruction. The presence of ICT has notably heightened students' enthusiasm for engaging with the subject matter. This research suggests that ICT can be effectively utilized in Introduction to Literature education through the implementation of diverse, engaging, and unique media, facilitating enhanced comprehension of the material by students.

Abstract

Poster wisata berisi ajakan dengan menggunakan tanda-tanda berupa teks dan juga gambar visual yang menarik untuk diteliti. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk melihat pemaknaan verbal dan visual pada poster wisata digital di Bangkalan, Madura. Penelitian dengan desain deskriptif kualitatif ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi dari poster digital yang ada di Bangkalan, Madura. Poster wisata digital yang diteliti sebanyak 3 buah dan telah diunggah ke media sosial (FB, IG, dan Tiktok). Poster wisata digital dilengkapi dengan penggunaan 3 bahasa (Madura, Indonesia, dan Inggris) dan juga desain gambar yang menarik yang menggambarkan kearifan lokal masyarakat Madura. Penelitian dengan menggunakan pendekatan teori Semiotik Saussure ini menunjukkan hasil bahwa tampilan visual dan verbal pada poster memberikan informasi yang jelas terkait ajakan untuk mengunjungi tempat wisata di Bangkalan. The Meaning of Signs on Digital Posters as Tourism Promotion Media: Saussure's Semiotic ApproachTourist posters contain invitations using signs in the form of text and also visual images that are interesting to examine.This research attempts to look at the verbal and visual meaning of digital tourist posters in Bangkalan, Madura. This research with a qualitative descriptive design was carried out using data collection techniques in the form of documentation from digital posters in Bangkalan, Madura. There were 3 digital tourist posters researched and uploaded to social media (FB, IG, and Tiktok). Digital tourist posters are equipped with the use of 3 languages, (Madurese, Indonesian and English) and also attractive image designs that depict the local wisdom of the Madurese people. Research using Saussure's semiotic theory approach shows the results that the visual and verbal displays on the poster provide clear information regarding the invitation to visit tourist attractions in Bangkalan.

Abstract

Polite language is one of the important things that must be considered in social life, especially us as a society that is famous for its eastern ethics and culture. Politeness needs to be instilled in mosque children from an early age so that a polite culture is instilled in them. The existence of empowerment activities for children at the Tahfidz Smart Qur'an Depok House in learning politeness in this language is needed as an effort to solve problems related to shifting politeness in children who are in the Baitul Ma'mur mosque, Depok. This issue was raised due to the many complaints from parents who felt that their children had language that was not polite enough when talking to older people or to younger people. The empowerment of children at the Tahfidz Smart Qur'an Depok House is packaged in a unique and attractive form so that children are interested in participating in this activity. This empowerment is packaged during the month of Ramadan through Islamic boarding school activities to fill the time of breaking the fast. The empowerment method used is an Asset-Based Community-driven Development (ABCD) approach that focuses on exploiting the potential that exists in the community in the surrounding environment. This program is carried out as an effort to improve the polite language skills of Muslim children in children at the Tahfidz Smart Qur'an Depok House. The results of empowering children in the mosque environment show that this program has succeeded in increasing children's ability to use polite language according to the Muslim version. This program can be used as an alternative for learning polite Muslim children's version in the mosque environment so that it can be applied in everyday life by children and can be adopted by other Qur'an Education Institutions (LPQ).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis elemen-elemen multimodal dalam brosur wisata di Bangkalan, Madura, dengan fokus pada tiga destinasi utama: Pantai Martajasah, Taman Wisata Laut Labuhan, dan Alun-Alun Kota Bangkalan. Brosur wisata sebagai dokumen informasi visual memiliki peran penting dalam menyampaikan informasi mengenai destinasi wisata kepada pembaca. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis multimodalitas untuk mengevaluasi bagaimana elemen visual dan tekstual bekerja secara sinergis dalam brosur wisata. Melalui analisis terhadap brosur wisata dari ketiga destinasi tersebut, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi dan memahami cara elemen multimodal, seperti gambar, teks, dan desain grafis, digunakan untuk menyampaikan informasi tentang masing-masing destinasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi gambar, teks deskriptif, dan desain grafis berperan penting dalam menyampaikan informasi yang komprehensif dan jelas mengenai karakteristik dan fitur dari setiap destinasi. Brosur yang informatif mampu memberikan gambaran yang mendetail dan autentik tentang destinasi tersebut, serta membantu pembaca dalam memahami dan mengevaluasi berbagai aspek dari tempat yang ditawarkan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan teori multimodalitas dan memberikan solusi praktis dalam penyajian informasi yang lebih jelas dan informatif. Kata Kunci: Analisis Multimodal, Brosur Wista, Madura.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran teks persuasif menggunakan Canva, uji produk mahasiswa, dan penilaian mahasiswa terhadap proses pembelajaran tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain mix method dan dilaksanakan di salah satu universitas di Jawa Timur. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada Oktober 2023 dengan melibatkan 33 mahasiswa dari Program Studi Sosiologi sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) dosen mendapatkan penilaian 89,5% pada saat mengajar materi teks persuasif di kelas, (2) hasil penilaian terhadap produk yang dibuat mahasiswa dengan penilaian yang bagus, dan (3) hasil penilaian terhadap respons mahasiswa menunjukkan nilai 3,57 yang berarti mahasiswa senang dengan pembelajaran menggunakan Canva untuk membuat teks persuasif. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Canva efektif dalam penulisan teks persuasif untuk membuat poster wisata digital berbasis kearifan lokal.Utilizing the Canva App as a Learning Media for Persuasive Text Writing in Digital Travel PosterThis study aims to describe persuasive text learning using Canva, student product testing, and student assessment of the learning process. This research uses a mixed-methods design and was carried out at one of the universities in East Java. Data collection was carried out in October 2023 by involving 33 students from the Sociology Study Program as samples. The results showed that: (1) lecturers received an 89.5% score when teaching persuasive text material in class, (2) assessment results of products made by students with good assessments, and (3) assessment results of student responses showed a score of 3.57 which means that students are happy with learning to use Canva to create persuasive texts. The implications of this study show that Canva is effective in writing persuasive text to create digital tourism posters based on local wisdom.
