Abstract

Green Tiger Prawn is one of the Prawn from the Penaeidea family and is one the catches caught in the waters of Samboja. This research conducted in October-December 2021 in the waters of Samboja, Kutai Kartanegara catching prawn at night using trawls. The sample used was 129 green tiger prawn with 90 females and 39 males. This study aims to determine the location of quartiles, deciles and persentiles in prawn data assisted by microsoft Excel software and presented in the form of histogram. The results of this study found that the location of the Q1 quartile was 25%, Q2 was 50% and Q3 was 75%. Decile D1 is 10%, D2 is 20% and D3 is 30%. Percentile P25 is 25%, P50 is 50%, dan P90 is 90%.

Abstract

Southern Velvet Shrimp (Metapenaeopsis palmensis) of the Penaeidae family, morphometric measurements were carried out to see things that affect the shape of the species. This study was aimed to provide information about the morphometric study of red rice shrimp (Metapenaeopsis palmensis) caught at night in Samboja waters, Kutai Kartanegara. This research was conducted in October-November 2021, the sample used was 300 brown rice shrimp (Metapenaeopsis palmensis). The morphometric study used covariance analysis to look at 20 morphometric covariates that affect the total length (PTO). Based on the results of univariate anova test analysis, it is known that 20 morphometrics have a sig <0.05, which means that H1 is accepted, which means it has an effect on PTO. Furthermore, ancova analysis was carried out, 13 morphometric results were obtained which had sig <0.05 for PTO, namely rostrum length (RST), head length (PK), first segment length (PRP), second segment length (PRD), third segment length ( PRT), fourth segment length (PRE), fifth segment length (PRL), sixth segment length (PRN), headless length (PTK), telson length (TLN), carapace button length (PKB), third lower segment length (PTB) ), and the length of the fifth lower segment (PLB).

Abstract

As an area bordering the Makassar Strait, Samboja Kuala District, most of the people make a living as fishermen. The fishing gear used by fishermen to catch shrimp and fish is a trawl. This study aims to identify the types of catches, determine the comparison of the percentage of main and by-catch at night. The method used in this study is a survey method, namely by going directly to the field. The main catches were 8 species of shrimp, namely Penaeus monodon, Penaeus sp, Penaeus merguiensis, Metapenaus affinis, Metapenaus monoceros, Metapenaeopsis palmenis, Metapenaeopsis barbata and Solenocera crassicornis. While the by-catch there are species of fish, cuttlefish and squid. The percentage of the main catch that was dominantly caught was Metapenaus affinis at 61% and the smallest was Penaeus sp 0%. While the percentage of by-catch is the most dominant fish beloso 33% and the smallest is grouper and bigeye fish 1% with a significance value <0.05 (sig. 0.24). The results of this study can show that there are differences in the main catch and by-catch in trawl fishing gear at night.

Abstract

Udang pink (Metapenaeus affinis) merupakan salah satu udang dengan famili penidae. Pengukuran morfometrik dilakukan untuk melihat beberapa faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi bentuk spesies udang pink. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi tentang studi morfometrik udang pink yang tertangkap di perairan Samboja, Kutai Kartanegara. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Perairan Samboja, Kutai Kartanegara antara Oktober-November 2021. Jumlah sampel udang pink yang digunakan di penelitian sebanyak 300 ekor. Kajian morfometri pada udang pink menggunakan analisis dengan uji analisis kovarian (ancova) untuk melihat 20 kovariat morfometrik yang berpengaruh terhadap panjang total (PTO). Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji anova univariat, ditemukan bahwa 20 morfometrik memiliki hubungan yang signifikan (p<0,05) terhadap PTO. Berdasarkan analisis ancova, didapatkan bahwa 9 morfometrik yang memiliki hasil yang signifikan (p< 0,05) terhadap panjang kepala (PK), panjang ruas pertama (PRP), panjang ruas kedua (PRD), panjang telson ( TLS), panjang mimbar (RST), panjang tanpa kepala (PTK), panjang kepala bawah (PKB), panjang ruas bawah ketiga (PTB), panjang ruas bawah keenam (PNB) dan panjang ekor (PE ). Hasil analisis uji ancova menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh morfometrik yang paling signifikan terhadap PTO adalah 10 morfometrik.

Abstract

Utilization and optimization of service facilities at the PPI Tanjung Limau Bontang in supporting fishing businesses and strategies for developing service facilities in increasing fishing business activities that utilize the PPI Tanjung Limau Bontang. In this regard, an analysis is carried out to achieve priority alternative strategies. So that the achievement of service optimization can be carried out properly and sustainably. The aim of the study was to analyze the optimization of the utilization of available facilities and to analyze the strategy for optimizing the PPI Tanjung Limau to be applied in developing services under current conditions. the results of calculating the optimal utilization of service facilities, namely the TPI Building, Mooring Pier, Port Administration Office, Meeting Hall, Guard Post, IPAL, Kiosk or Shop and Parking Area. Meanwhile, service facilities whose utilization rate is not optimal are land 87%, Wharf unloading 50%, SPBN 80%, clean water tank 66.67%, electrical installation 20.67%, MCK (toilet) 66.67%, shipping lanes 65, 38% and anchorage pond 19.43%. The results of the SWOT analysis showed that the coordinate X value on the Cartesius diagram 0.77 and the coordinate Y 0.36 and the implementation of the strategy S-O (Strength-opportunity).

Abstract

Samboja Kuala is one of the Kelurahan in Samboja District which is an area where most of the population works as fishermen.  There are two types of fishery activities in the Samboja Kuala area, namely capture fisheries (fishermen) and aquaculture fisheries. One of the most common catches obtained by fishermen is shrimp.  Yellow-spotted shrimp (Metapenaeus monoceros) is one of the catches of fishermen shrimp in Samboja Kuala Waters.  This study aims to determine several parameters of population dynamics using the carapace length data frequency method.  The research was conducted in Samboja Kuala waters, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, in November-December 2022.  Based on the results of the study, the sex ratio between males and females was 0,38: 2,65.  The length range in male and female sex is 48,34 mm – 78,85 mm and 48,80 mm – 90,78 mm.  And the natural mortality (M) of males and females was 1,27 per year and 1,65 per year, the capture mortality (F) of males and females was 0,63 per year and 1,64 per year, the total mortality of males and females was 1,90 per year and 3,29 per year, and the exploitation rates of males and females were 0,33 and 0,50.  New additions of males occurred in October by 16,27% and new additions of females occurred in October by 24,93%.  And it is known that the yield per recruitment value is 0.04 grams / recruitment.

Abstract

Tiger prawn (Penaeus monodon) is a type of shrimp from the Penaeidea family and is one of the caught in Samboja waters. This research was conducted in November-December 2022 in Samboja Kuala Waters, Kutai Kartanegara by catching shrimp at night using trawl fishing gear. The sample used was 100 tiger prawns (Penaeus monodon) with 42 females and 58 males. This study aims to determine the morphometric characters of tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon) and to analyze the morphometric measurements. In the analysis using Ancova, the results obtained were 12 morphometric characters of tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon) with significant values greater than 0.05, namely RST, PK, PRT, PRN, PT, PP, PKB, PTB, PNB, PE and PTK . So based on the initial hypothesis, if the significant number is greater than 0.05 Ho, it is accepted, which means that there is no relationship between the morphometrics of male and female tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon).

Abstract

Alat tangkap Belat menjadikan ikan Bawis (Siganus canaliculatus) sebagai target utama dimana alat tangkap belat di pasang oleh nelayan di pesisir Kota Bontang yang terpengaruh oleh pasang surut air laut yaitu di daerah ekosistem lamun dan ekosistem mangrove. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui komposisi jenis ikan, komposisi jumlah ikan, ukuran ikan, dan produktivitas hasil tangkapan utama dan tangkapan sampingan yang tertangkap alat tangkap belat pada ekosistem padang lamun dan ekosistem mangrove. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komposisi jenis ikan yang tertangkap oleh alat tangkap belat sebanyak 79 spesies dimana terdapat 77 spesies pada ekosistem lamun dan 27 spesies pada ekosistem mangrove. Pada ekosistem lamun yaitu 5 persen spesies merupakan main cacth, 85 persen bycacth, dan 10 persen discard. Sedangkan pada ekosistem mangrove ada 15 persen spesies merupakan main cacth, 81 persen bycacth, dan 3 persen discard. hasil tangkapan dari alat tangkap belat di Ekosistem Padang Lamun mencapai 3.795 ekor dengan komposisi 49 persen main cacth, 48 persen bycacth, dan 3 persen discard. Sedangkan untuk hasil tangkapan alat tangkap belat di Ekosistem Mangrove mencapai 1.334 ekor dengan komposisi 23 persen main cacth, 73 persen bycacth, 4 persen discard. ukuran ikan bawis (Siganus Canaliculatus) yang merupakan ikan target utama dari alat tangkap belat oleh nelayan untuk di Ekosistem Padang Lamun berkisar pada panjang 17-19,5 cm dengan berat antara 17-104 gram. Produktivitas hasil tangkapan alat tangkap belat pada Ekosistem Padang Lamun menunjukkan bahwa hubungan spesies di kedua ekosistem tersebut memiliki kesamaan jenis yang tidak identik.
