Abstract

Teaching is a profession that demands special abilities and expertise obtained by certain education and training in its field. Profession can only be said if the teacher has met the requirements as a profession, then the teacher can be classified as a profession. Teachers have a huge responsibility and have a direct influence on the achievement of educational goals. Becoming a professional teacher is not easy. A teacher must have and give dedication to this work. If not, then the purpose of education which is closely related to the formation of the quality of human resources will not be achieved. The teaching profession is required to be able to work optimally in educating students so that education does not fail. Teacher professionalism can improve academic education and student character. Professional teachers are teachers who want to prioritize the quality and quality of their services and products, teacher services must meet standards such as personality competencies, managerial competencies, entrepreneurial competencies, supervisory competencies, and social competencies. As well as maximizing the ability of students based on the potential and skills possessed by each individual to become better. The purpose of this study is to identify and examine: 1) teacher professional development strategies 2) the role of professional educators in academic development and student character 3) professional educator performance.

Abstract

Kurikulum ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan generasi yang tidak hanya menghafal apa yang diajarkan guru, tetapi juga memanfaatkan teknologi dalam belajar. Kurikulum Merdeka memberi Anda kebebasan untuk menentukan topik pembelajaran sesuai minat dan kemampuan Anda, sehingga memungkinkan Anda mengembangkan proyek pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Penelitian kualitatif lebih menekankan pada proses dan makna  dengan menggunakan landasan teori  untuk memandu fokus penelitian berdasarkan fakta  lapangan. Kurikulum Merdeka  tidak boleh sulit, namun harus memungkinkan  pengembangan pembelajaran yang lebih baik. Perubahan kurikulum menjadi topik diskusi rutin untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di negara-negara berkembang.

Abstract

The existence of a teacher competency development program is very important to improve their performance so that they can be said to be professional teachers. The teacher competency development program functions as a teacher transformation process. The real world of teacher work is student learning in classroom learning activities. Teacher performance is all the results of the teacher's efforts in delivering the learning process. educational goals, which include all activities related to his duties as a teacher. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of teacher competency development programs in improving performance in schools. The research was conducted using the literature study method, which involves collecting data to understand and study theories from various relevant literatures. Teacher competency development is becoming increasingly important and necessary, especially in the context of improving career paths in functional teacher positions. Without continuous self-development, a teacher will encounter difficulties, even difficult to achieve a higher functional position. Performance evaluation is a systematic process for determining the specific benefits or job measures of an organization in the task of establishing internal comparability.

Abstract

This study analyzes the various policies implemented by school principals to encourage the improvement of teachers' competencies and reveals the important role of principals in developing teachers' professionalism. Principals are responsible for facilitating training and professional development for teachers, so that they can continuously improve their skills and knowledge. This policy also aims to provide teachers with useful feedback and a working environment that allows them to develop. However, this research also shows that there are problems with implementing the policy. Lack of time for teachers to attend training and limited access to necessary resources are some of the challenges faced. But principals can encourage teachers to learn more and become better with the right policies and support.

Abstract

This article examines madrasas that are significant in supporting the achievement of national education goals. Efforts to improve the quality of madrasas as superior and quality educational institutions, always innovate and take concrete steps in developing the vision and mission of madrasas and collaborate with all madrasa stakeholders. Therefore, the role of stakeholders is very important in formulating policies that aim to improve the quality of education in educational institutions. The study was conducted using a qualitative method with in-depth interview techniques on madrasa stakeholders. The qualitative approach is used to describe the reality of the events studied so as to obtain objective data. The results of this study indicate that each stakeholder has a complementary role in improving the quality of education at MAN Asahan. Therefore, participation from various stakeholders is very important to improve madrasas. Stakeholders are also able to mobilize all elements of the madrasa to realize a quality vision and mission in the madrasa. It can be concluded that the role of stakeholders in building madrasas at MAN Asahan must involve all stakeholders to build quality madrasas with positive synergy between the head of the madrasa, teachers, students, and parents who together form an effective support system for the progress of madrasas at MAN Asahan.
