Abstract

Mental health has become an important issue in modern society, including in Indonesia. This article describes a mental health education program based on Islamic values through majelis taklim (Islamic study gatherings) as a means of empowering religious communities. The activities were carried out by a team of volunteers from INSIMA over two months at Masjid Al-Ikhlas Cimanggu, involving 30 participants. The approach used was participatory qualitative with thematic study methods that integrated the spiritual values of fasting and the concept of mental health. The results showed three main achievements: (1) a 90% increase in participants' understanding of the psychological benefits of fasting, (2) the organic growth of a culture of mental health discussions, and (3) the integration of mental health materials into the study curriculum. This program has proven effective in increasing mental health literacy based on Islamic values, strengthening intervention models in religious communities that are relevant to the local socio-cultural context. This finding provides theoretical and practical contributions to national mental health promotion through the synergy between the religious and health sectors.

Abstract

Menganut the best process bukan the best input; 2. Proses yang terbaik (the best process); 3.Outputnya sekolah manusia menganut penilaian autentik. Kata kunci: Sekolah, Multiple Intelegences, Munif Chatib, Pendidikan IslamAbstractMultiple intelligences (multiple intelligences) is a theory of intelligence resulting from changes in the meaning of understanding intelligence which was previously a theory of intelligence that tends to be interpreted narrowly which is only assessed verbally and mathematically now by Gardner is changed to be broader, namely into multiple intelligences. And now the concept of Multiple intelligences or multiple intelligences began to be used by several schools or applied in the field of education. The purpose of this study is to describe the concept of multiple intelligences-based schools according to Munif Chatib. The research described in this context involves library research that utilizes a qualitative approach, which is a type of study that generates descriptive data based on observations of people's speech, writing, or behavior. While the required data collection techniques are obtained through documentation, complemented by interviews. This research shows that the concept of multiple intelligences-based schools according to Munif Chatib is: 1. Adhering to the best process not the best input; 2. The best process; 3.The output of the human school adheres to authentic judgment. And this concept shows the relevance in Islamic education, this can be seen in terms of education for all, respecting all types of human intelligence, this is in line with Islamic principles that do not discriminate one from another and aspects in the formulation of Islamic Education goals. Keywords: School, Multiple Intelligences, Munif Chatib, Islamic Education

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of Islamic Cognitive-Behavioral Counseling (ICBC) in mitigating academic burnout among university students. Employing an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design, the research involved 40 students with high burnout levels as measured by the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS). Quantitative results revealed a statistically significant reduction in burnout scores, with the mean shifting from 68.51 to 44.87 (p < 0.001). The intervention yielded a massive effect size (Cohen’s d = 4.94), underscoring that the ICBC formulation is both robust and practically meaningful for student recovery. Qualitatively, the findings identified a Triple-Axis Transformation driving the change: neutralizing cynicism through the Tawakal-Control axis, reversing emotional exhaustion via Dhikr-based biological resets, and restoring personal accomplishment through Muhasabah-Amanah integration. The discussion highlights that by integrating spiritual tenets—specifically the Dichotomy of Control between Ikhtiar (effort) and Tawakal (divine reliance) the ICBC model provides a transcendental anchor that recalibrates students' stress appraisal more effectively than purely secular interventions. This spiritual strategy transforms academic tasks from burdensome chores into a form of Amanah (Divine Trust), moving students from fragile self-regulation to a higher-order ethical accountability. The study concludes that the ICBC model offers a culturally resonant and clinically robust solution that fills the existential gap found in conventional counseling, providing a more resilient motivational foundation for students navigating the pressures of modern higher education.
