Abstract

Critical thinking are capability that need to analyzing, making decisions,  solving problems and making arguments. This study aims to find out critical thinking skills used concept map on human skeletal and muscular system concept. The research was conducted in State Senior High School 2 of South Tangerang City. The method used was descriptive research. The sampling was done by purposive sampling technic, and the action class was randomly determined by the teacher. The sample were 29 students. The instrument used were the concept map and interview sheet which have been tested for the validity and the reliability.  The data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative and qualitative statistic. The result shows that critical thingking skills used concept map was low-sore on average 31.95%. Concept Map can used for measure critical thinking skills especially on analysis and synthesis. Critical thingking skills used concept map indicator include two indicator, such as  analysis 34.3 %, synthesis 29.08%. Abstract

Abstract This research aimed to know the influence of using contextual based student worksheet towards student learning outcomes on human movement system concept. This research was conducted at SMAN 10 Kota Tangerang Selatan. The research method used quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The sampling method was simple random sampling. The research sample were 37 students for experiment class by using contextual based student worksheet and 35 students for control class by using non contextual student worksheet. The instrument of this research consist of 20 multiple choice test and non test as activity observation sheet of teacher, student responses, attitude and performance assessment. The data analysis used t-test, obtained tarithmetic 2,17 and using ttable on a significant level α = 0,05 amounted 1,99, then tarithmetic > ttable. There was influence of using contextual based student worksheet towards student learning outcomes on human movement system concept. Contextual based student worksheet to facilitate the students to constructed knowledge and have the retention on human movement system concept. Keywords: student worksheet; contextual; learning outcomes Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh penggunaan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) berbasis kontekstual terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada konsep sistem gerak manusia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 10 Kota Tangerang Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest posttest control group design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Sampel penelitian untuk kelas eksperimen berjumlah 37 orang dengan menggunakan LKS berbasis kontekstual dan kelas kontrol berjumlah 35 orang dengan menggunakan LKS non kontekstual. Instrumen penilaian yang digunakan yaitu tes dan non tes. Tes yang diberikan berupa tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 butir soal dan instrumen non tes berupa lembar observasi aktivitas guru, respon siswa, penilaian sikap dan kinerja. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t, diperoleh hasil thitung 2,17 dan ttabel pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 sebesar 1,99, maka thitung > ttabel. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh LKS berbasis kontekstual terhadap hasil belajar pada konsep sistem gerak manusia. LKS berbasis kontekstual dapat mempermudah siswa dalam mengkonstruksi pengetahuan dan memiliki retensi terhadap konsep sistem gerak. Abstract

This research purposed  to know the influence of using advance organizer model to students’ biology achievement in protists concept. This research was used quasi experiment method with pretest-posttest control group design. The data analysis was used t-test, from the result of calculating mean differentiation of posttest both groups, obtained the value of t-count was equal to 3,087, while t-table at the level of significant 5% with degree of freedom (df) = 78 that was equal to 1,67. So, it can be said that t-count > t-table that means the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the zero hypothesis (H0) was refused. It showed that there was influence of using advance organizer model to students’ biology achievement in protists concept.

Abstract

Problem-based learning (PBL) is an effective pedagogy in increasing scientific literacy among students, and this strategy helps students acquire and apply knowledge and develop higher-order thinking skills that prioritize problems obtained from real life.This study aims to investigate the influence of ill-structured type problem-based learning (PBL)  model on students' science literacy skills in environmental change concept. The research was conducted at MAN 1 Pandeglang in the 2023/2024 school year using a quasi-experimental method using a non-equivalent control group design. Two classes were selected as research samples (experimental class and control class) through simple random sampling technique. Data analysis using independent samples t-test with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 26 showed that the value of sig. (2-tailed) of 0.004, which is below the significance level of α = 0.05. These results show that the use of ill-structured type problem-based learning models has a significant influence on improving students' science literacy skills. Thus, this learning model is effective in improving science literacy skills on the concept of environmental change
