The aim of this research is to describe the relationship between the ability in comprehending the short story and the ability in writing the drama manuscript for the VIII grade’s student at , junior high school, nine, Sijunjung. The type of this research is quantitative research using descriptive and the statistic correlation methods. Population and sample in this research is the student of the VIII grade at junior high school ,nine, Sijunjung. The population in this research is 34 students who are registered in academic year of 2012/2013. This population involves two class which the population is sample because the population is less than 100 students. The result of research shows that the ability of student in comprehending the short story highly assists them in writing the drama manuscript. Furthermore, using the statistic correlation method, it shows that relationship between the student ability in understanding the short story and the student ability in writing the drama manuscript is significant on the degree of freedom, n-2, and it is significant at 95 % of confident level since 6.41 of t-statistic value is greater than 1.70 of t-table value.

This article aimed to express the implementing authentic assessment in the 2013 curriculum by English teachers of Prof. Dr. Hamka Padang Modern Boarding High School. The illustration enclosed the kinds of authentic assessment, the implementation and the problems encountered by the English teachers. The subjects were two English teachers and 36 students. Observation checklist, questionnaire sheet and interview guideline were used as the research instruments. This is descriptive research and analyzed by qualitatively. The results showed that kinds of authentic assessment implemented by the two English teachers were oral interview, observation, writing sample, project, constructed-respond item and performance by score 45,55% with “poor category”. Although they have maximized their effort, they did not do better on the preparing, scoring, and reporting. Then, lack of time, knowledge and difficult to find appropriate material were still being problems encountered by the English teachers in implementing of the authentic assessment. Indonesia adalah negara kaya dengan masyarakat majemuk yang terdiri dari berbagai ras, etnis, adat istiadat, kelas sosial dan agama. Keberagaman keragaman di Indonesia menimbulkan banyak konflik dan memerlukan penanganan lebih lanjut serta solusi yang dapat mengatasinya. Bagaimana menghadapi konflik yang sering muncul dalam masyarakat multikultural? Berawal dari sikap toleran yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap individu dan harus dimaknai sebagai tumpuan dalam kehidupan sosial masyarakat yang multikultural. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan nilai multikulturalisme dalam bentuk toleransi yang terkandung dalam novel salah satu sastrawan terkenal Indonesia, Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Dalam hal ini, peneliti menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif untuk melihat sekumpulan objek, kondisi sekelompok orang, atau gagasan yang tertulis dalam sebuah karya sastra dalam kategori peristiwa kontemporer. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat dua puluh buah informasi tentang nilai-nilai toleransi dalam novel Habiburrahman El Shirazy yang terbagi menjadi dua judul novel yang berbeda yaitu sebelas buah novel Ayat-Ayat Cinta dan sembilan buah informasi dari novel Bumi Cinta. Analisis penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa multikulturalisme toleran yang diperoleh terkait dengan sikap kebebasan dalam pelaksanaan hukum agama, kebebasan berpikir dan berpendapat, kebebasan berkumpul, membiarkan orang lain menjadi diri mereka sendiri, tanpa kompromi dalam prinsip pribadi dan berpegang pada prinsip, diterima tanpa merendahkan prinsip-prinsip orang lain. Semua ini terkait dengan sikap yang harus diikuti oleh masyarakat multikultural Indonesia.

Innovations and changes have been made to the Indonesian curriculum since 2013. These changes aim to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. The curriculum currently used to learn Indonesian is text-based. Several years later, the government launched the School Literacy Movement (GLS) to realize the vision and mission so that people can adapt to developments in information and technology by updating them in the National Literacy Movement (GLN). The purpose of this study was to find out the literacy activities carried out in schools as well as see the responses from students after completing literacy activities. This study recommends handling literacy as an innovation in curriculum development in schools. This research is a descriptive study using structured interview techniques and questionnaire collection techniques using interview guidelines and questionnaires as working tools. Interviews were conducted with five Indonesian teachers in West Sumatra and 30 students were asked to answer a questionnaire. The results of the study show that in practice literacy is not carried out by the rules so literacy goals are not achieved properly. In practice, curriculum and literacy appear as two different things and their implementation is inconsistent. Learning activities are always related to literacy activities. Particularly in language learning, literacy activities in reading and writing are very important things to be carried out by each component of the school.

This research aims to describe the implementation of authentic assessment of 2013 curriculum at SMA PMT Prof. Dr. Hamka Padang. The descriptions were the kinds of assessment, the implementation of assessment and the problem encountered by the teachers. Participants were two English teachers and 7 students as the representative chosen purposively. This is descriptive research. The data were obtained from the instruments used which were observation checklist and interview guideline. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The result shows that 52,5% of assessment was implemented by all English teachers. The numbers of the students became main problems besides basic knowledge, overburdened of time and classroom management. In short, the English teachers’ assessment belonged to ‘Fair’ category. Consequently, the assessment training and workshop should be followed by the teachers. Furthermore, the researcher can widen research to know the assessment implemented by English teachers of the 2013 curriculum.

The development of science and technology has brought significant progress in education. Traditionally, learning media for recognizing objects in children is often limited to books that only contain text and pictures, which often reduces interest in learning and increases boredom. However, with the emergence of Augmented Reality (AR), we can witness a technology that can integrate virtual objects into real environments in real-time. AR can help visualize concepts and understand an object's structure by projecting it in 2D or 3D. In a learning context, AR can be an exciting innovation, allowing children to not only read the text but also see three-dimensional objects accompanied by audio and translations in various languages, such as English, Indonesian, and Mandarin. The aim of developing AR applications in Android-based language learning is to improve the learning process and enrich students' interests by presenting interactive and entertaining content. This application development method includes the stages of conceptualization, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. The result of this research is a design for an AR application in language learning which is expected to continue to be improved to provide a better user experience.

The use of teaching modules in learning processes still faces challenges, especially printed materials that tend to be monotonous and less appealing to students in the digital era. These challenges affect students' understanding and engagement in learning, particularly in courses that require artistic appreciation, such as Nusantara Music. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of developing interactive e-modules to enhance students' comprehension and engagement in this course. The research employed a research and development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which comprises five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through pretests and post-tests to measure cognitive and psychomotor learning outcomes. Data analysis was conducted by comparing pretest and post-test results using descriptive statistical tests. The findings revealed that the developed interactive e-module effectively improved students' comprehension, as indicated by significant improvements in post-test scores compared to pretest scores. Additionally, the use of e-modules increased student engagement during the learning process. The study concludes that the ADDIE-based interactive e-module can be effectively utilized as a learning medium to enhance students' learning outcomes in the Nusantara Music course.
