Abstract

The state-funded schools hold the biggest part in most of countries worldwide. Private-funded schools play a minor role. However, globalization has made the provision of private-funded education gradually increased. Nowadays, the privatization of education is a global phenomenon with all its advantages and disadvantages. Due to this trend a question arise can privatization of education pro-poor people in a more well organized system or optimal way than the state-funded school? Privatization of education policies stand as opposition with the state education policies. Therefore, can the poor people access these private-funded school when the state-funded school is not accessible? Government policies in managing both types of schools are important. Government as the duty bearer of fulfilling the rights to education must ensure that people with all socio-economic background able to access education services.

Abstract

Anak usia dini merupakan masa keemasan karena anak mengalami pertumbuhan fisik dan non fisik yang cepat, yang menentukan sikap dan ciri masa depan mereka. PAUD memiliki permainan edukatif. Tanpa permainan ini, anak-anak akan bosan saat belajar. Jadi instruktur dan orang tua harus memilih permainan belajar yang sempurna untuk anak-anak. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan tentang pentingnya permainan edukatif dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini di PAUD Ummul Habibah, Desa Kelambir V, Medan, dan jenis-jenis permainan yang dapat digunakan. Penelitian kualitatif ini bersifat deskriptif. PAUD Ummul Habibah Desa Kelambir V Medan memiliki 5 pengajar. Jumlah populasi yang dijadikan sampel sebanyak 5 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data deskriptif persentase. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa alat permainan edukatif seperti lego, jungkat-jungkit, menara lingkaran, menara geometri, origami, bola karet, buku cerita bergambar, congklak, perosotan, ayunan, jembatan goyang, bola dunia, kereta puta, dan kereta ayun di PAUD Ummul Habibah Desa Kelambir V Medan dapat membantu anak-anak belajar. Pengajar PAUD Ummul Habibah di Desa Kelambir V Medan mengatakan, permainan edukatif sangat membantu untuk pembelajaran. Indikasi keterampilan motorik menunjukkan hal ini. (1) Bagi orang tua diharapkan dapat memilih jenis alat permainan edukatif apa yang cocok dan bermanfaat untuk kebutuhan perkembangan anak dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini. (2) Bagi Lembaga PAUD Ummul Habibah Desa Kelambir V Medan diharapkan dapat memilih dan merancang permainan edukatif apa saja yang sesuai dan bermanfaat dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini. (3) Bagi peneliti selanjutnya, diharapkan dapat melengkapi penelitian ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi sudut pandang guru PAUD terhadap pola belajar dan mengajar anak usia dini di era digital. Guru PAUD dan anak didik tumbuh dan kembang bersama dengan perkembangan teknologi yang pesat saat ini.  Narasumber berjumlah 15 orang guru PAUD. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah Total Sampling.  Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah teknologi membuat anak usia dini mendapat ilmu pengetahuan terlebih dahulu sebelum diajarkan oleh gurunya. Tapi di sisi lain anak usia dini menunjukkan sikap individualistis karena lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu dengan gawai. Hal ini membuat perubahan yang signifikan dalam pola belajar dan mengajar di sekolah. Selain dituntut untuk mengembangkan diri dan memperluas cakrawala ilmu pengetahuan secara berkala, seorang guru PAUD juga harus mempersiapkan anak  didik agar menjadi individu yang mempunyai daya saing global dan berkarakter mulia.

Abstract

This research is based on the fact that every child's potential will develop rapidly if they receive care that is appropriate to the child's development. The fact is that every ethnicity has different characteristics and parenting styles. For example, Javanese and Malay ethnicity, each of which has its own way of instilling religious and moral values in children from an early age aims to find out the form of instilling religious and moral values in early childhood by looking at the upbringing of Javanese and Malay ethnicities and seeing their relevance to the concept of education. in early childhood. This research method is qualitative with research procedures namely participant observation and in-depth interviews at TK Alfia Nur Hamparan Perak. The research findings show that the form of instilling religious and moral values in early childhood in the upbringing of Javanese and Malay ethnicity both promotes exemplary, habituation and fun storytelling activities. The good figures shown by parents and teachers make it easier for children to understand religious and moral values in their lives. The form of obedience that is instilled by parents in children causes children to obey every order and prohibition from parents in the process of instilling moral and religious values. Teachers at TK Alfia Nur improvise learning through culture that is inherent in children's culture, then ethnic characteristics in parents affect parenting style and have implications for the form of instilling religious and moral values in early childhood. Therefore, the parenting culture that parents receive should not be purely applied to children, nor should it be completely abandoned.

Abstract

The development of each child must be observed. The education and teaching methods need to be adjusted to the child’s development. Montessori and Pestalozzi are early childhood education experts who opened-up the eyes to a new way of teaching method in the golden age stages in children.  This study examined Montessori’s and Pestalozzi`s concepts on early childhood education. Pestalozzi believed empowering individual skills can improve the society, capable of knowing what is right and what is wrong and of acting according to this knowledge. On the other hand, Montessori believed that children have power to learn naturally and challenge themselves to do something big and to live independently. This research used library approach. The results showed that both experts agreed on (1) the cognitive, affective, and psycho-motoric aspects of a child needs to be stimulate, (2) learning environment should be structured in a  so the children can learn naturally, and (3) teachers are required to become observers.  These patterns of education put children as the subject of teaching method. Both methods are applicable and expected to be able to maximize in shaping the children`s character at their golden ages.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang diterapkan pada pendidikan anak usia dini membutuhkan suatu model pembelajaran yang menarik dan menyenangkan menyesuaikan perkembangan anak. Model Pembelajaran Discovery dipercaya sebagai suatu model pembelajaran yang dapat mengkonstruksi pengetahuan dan perkembangan anak usia dini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui langkah-langkah pelaksanaan model pembelajaran discovery pada pendidikan anak usia dini, dan implementasi model pembelajaran discovery di TK Tunas Pertiwi Mandailing Natal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi partisipatif, dan wawancara mendalam. Data dianalisis dengan tahapan kondensasi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran discovery dapat dilaksanakan dengan langkah persiapan, stimulasi, identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, pengolahan data, pembuktian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Implementasi model pembelajaran discovery dalam pendidikan anak usia dini di TK Tunas Pertiwi yaitu dengan pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan, pembelajaran percobaan, dan pembelajaran pemecahan masalah. Pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan dilaksanakan dengan mengenalkan anak tentang lingkungannya, terutama konteks di mana anak berada Pembelajaran eksperimen dan pemecahan masalah dilaksanakan dengan kegiatan sederhana dan tidak membahayakan anak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Kontribusi Pengasuhan Orang Tua Dalam Meningkatkan Perkembangan Sosial Emosional Anak Di RA Al Jihad Asahan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dengan alat pengumpul data yaitu panduan observasi, wawancara dan catatan lapangan. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa Kontribusi Pengasuhan Orang Tua Dalam Meningkatkan Perkembangan Sosial Emosional Anak khususnya pada RA Al- Jihad Asahan terdapat tiga peran. Peran tersebut yaitu sebagai pendidik pertama dan utama yang dilakukan orang tua dengan mengajarkan dan mengarahkan dalam bentuk nasehat dan pengasuhan dalam keluarga. Kemudian yang kedua sebagai model yang dilakukan orang tua melalui contoh secara langsung yang dipraktekkan orang tua di depan anak, karena belajar anak lebih mudah dengan meniru perilaku orang tua. Ketiga sebagai teman yaitu orang tua layaknya teman yang menjadi tempat untuk anak bercerita dan berkeluh kesah sehingga membuat orang tua lebih mudah memahami perasaan dan emosi anak. Perkembangan kemampuan sosial emosional yang dicapai masing-masing anak berbeda. Ada yang aspek perilaku prososialnya bagus namun untuk tingkat percaya diri kurang, demikian pula sebaliknya, karena perbedaan pengasuhan orang tua terhadap anak. Perkembangan anak dipengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan keluarga, sekolah, maupun masyarakat. Pola asuh orang tua dalam keluarga mempengaruhi perkembangan anak. Orang tua yang memberikan pengasuhan secara profesional menjadikan anak bisa memilih dan melakukan sesuatu sesuai dengan keinginannya dalam pengawasan orang tua.

Abstract

This article explores critically the early childhood teachers` perspectives on the changes in the nature of childhood in this digital era. The rapid development of the digital era nowadays unquestionably has already changed children`s lives and it affected the teaching and learning activities. Both early childhood children and early childhood teachers grow and develop naturally with the development of digitalization. Digital technologies are bringing opportunities for learning and education for children but at the same time changing them into more personal people and less attached to the real world. Preparing the children with a set of skills to be able to succeed in this digital era is one of the early childhood teachers` responsibilities. To document this, 15 early childhood teachers were interviewed. The results were discussed in two terms. First, the early childhood teachers acknowledge the changing nature of childhood in this digital era. Second, the strong commitment of the early childhood teachers in arranging a fun yet creative indoor and outdoor learning activities for the children

Abstract

This research aims to examine the application of the value of religious moderation in early childhood as an effort to form balanced character and morality. In the context of globalization and cultural plurality, children are faced with various influences that can shape their thinking and behavior patterns. Therefore, this research focuses on implementing the value of religious moderation as a basis for guiding children to understand and appreciate religious teachings wisely based on learning based on local wisdom. This research method is qualitative involving observation and interviews. Data analysis by condensing data, displaying data and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the application of the value of religious moderation makes a positive contribution to children's character development. Children show a better understanding of religious values and are able to apply them in everyday life. In addition, the role of teachers and parents as role models in practicing the value of religious moderation is a key factor in the success of this implementation. The findings of this research provide practical implications for educators, parents and policy makers to improve approaches to religious education at the early age level. By strengthening the value of religious moderation with learning based on local wisdom, it is hoped that children can grow into individuals who are responsible, tolerant, and have a deep understanding of religious diversity in society and love Indonesian culture.
