Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the benefits of dishwashing liquid and cooking salt as a alternative for CMT fluids for subclinical mastitis testing in dairy cows in Udanawu sub-district, Blitar district. The materials used in this study were 12 dairy cows suffering from subclinical mastitis, paddle, CMT fluid, ,dishwashing liquid and cooking salt. This study used a randomized block design (RBD). The treatments were giving CMT fluids, a mixture of dishwashing liquid and 20%, 30%, and 40% of table salt on milk taken from each nipple that was placed on the paddle. The results of this study showed that there was a significant difference (P <0.05) for each concentration of dishwashing liquid mixture and cooking salt. The range of mean scores on the administration of CMT was 3.75 ± 0.25, the cairan pencuci piring mixture of cooking salt was 20% 1.67 ± 0.14, the mixture was 30% 2.92 ± 0.52, the mixture was 40% 3.42 ± 0.57. The conclusion of this study is that a mixture of cairan pencuci piring and cooking salt can be used as a substitute for CMT fluids which is cheap and easy to obtain and can serve as a guideline for dairy farmers to prevent subclinical mastitis in dairy cows.

Abstract

This study was conduced to determine the reproduction performance characteristics of rabbits in Ngelegok sub-district, Blitar district. The material used in this study was rabbits in 5 people's farms in Ngelegok sub-district, Blitar district. The method used in this research is interviews and surveys directly to the location of the rabbit farming business. The data collected are primary data derived from a survey of reproduction in livestock breeding rabbits as many as 5 people in the Ngelegok sub-district of Blitar district, then conducted direct interviews with breeders using a list of questions available on the sheet questionnaires. The results of the study showed that the first breeding male rabbits was at least 6 months old, while for female cattle the first mating age was at least 5 months. The litter size produced by each type of rabbit varies. Litter size between 4-12 rabbits per birth. S / C of each type of rabbits there is no difference, with 2 or 3 times a marriage, rabbits likely to experience a pregnancy. Lambing frequency rabbits around 4.5 to 6 times per year, while the distance mating rabbit for mating again at least 14 days and a maximum of 55 days. The conclusion that the reproduction performance of rabbits in the Ngelegok sub-district of Blitar District is good enough, but every kind of rabbits have different reproduction performance characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to identify Escherichia coli bacteria from drinking water poultry in layer farms, Ponggok sub-district, Blitar district. 7 samples of water were collected from layer farms in the village of Kebonduren Ponggok Blitar. Water samples were examined for Escherichia coli bacteria using the Most Probable Number (MPN) method and analyzed descriptively. The results in this study were from 7 farms found 1 farm whose drinking water was contaminated with Escherichia coli bacteria, the number of E.coli was 210 MPN/100 ml, these results still met the MPN Coliform threshold value for class II farm water according to PP no 82 in 2001, which was 5000 MPN/100 ml of water and 2000 MPN/100 ml of E. coli.

Abstract

Rabbit gestation production was expressed by litter size, there so many factor influence such as adequate nutrient. The aim of this study was to determine the nutrient adequacy of rabbit gestation in nglegok regency. The method used is survey dan data were analyzed descriptively. Twenty Seven rabbit gestation were observed in this study. There were three components in this study, which calculates the consumption of dry matter, crude protein, and total digestible nutrient in lactating dairy cows with reference to Permentan 2014. This research showed that consumption of dry matter, crude protein, and total digestible nutrien was 185,58 g, 31, 84 g and 12,21 g. In conclution, the ration given to rabbit gestation was sufficient Dry Matter, Crude Protein, and Total Digestible Nutrient.
