Abstract

ABSTRACTThe study entitled: Potential of Sweet Corn (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt.) Hybrid F1 Bonanza Varieties at Different Planting Spaces. Aim to get the potential results of sweet corn (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt.) Hybrid variety of Bonanza F1 with optimal spacing (Maximum production). The study was conducted in December 2018 until April 2019, at the Plantation Site of Tanjung Baru Petai Village, Tanjung Batu District, Ogan Ilir District (OI), South Sumatra Province. The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD), 6 settings in 3 times required 6 x 3 = 18 experimental units. The area of land used is 0.5 ha with spacing of P1: 80 cm x 25 cm 1 seed / hole, P2: 75 cm x 25 cm 1 seed / hole, P3: 80 cm x 40 cm 2 seeds / hole, P4: 60 cm x 25 cm 1 seed / hole, P5: 75 cm x 40 cm 2 seeds / hole, P6: 75 cm x 50 cm 3 seeds / hole. The variables discussing sweet corn plants include tall plants (cm), stem diameter (mm), wide leaves (cm2), leaf length (cm), weighted fresh berangkasan (gr), ear length (cm), ear diameter (cm )), number of rows / ear, number of seeds / cob (seeds), weight of ear cob (gr), weight of ear without clobot (gr). The results showed that Bonanza F1 corn varieties proved very significant in plant height, stem diameter, ear length and number of rows per ear, significantly different in leaf width, leaf length, ear diameter, number of seeds per ear, and not significantly different from fresh weight berangkasan, heavy cob berklobot, the weight of the cob without a screw. P1 treatment with a spacing of 80 cm x 25 cm (1 seed / hole) provides the best potential and has the potential to increase growth, yield and components of Bonanza F1.  Keywords: Varieties, Bonanza F1 Hybrid Corn, spacing, growth, yield ABSTRAK Penelitian yang berjudul : Potensi   Hasil  Jagung Manis (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt.)    Hibrida Varietas Bonanza F1  Pada Jarak Tanam Berbeda.  Bertujuan untuk mendapatkan potensi   hasil  jagung manis (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt.) Hibrida varietas Bonanza F1 dengan jarak tanam yang optimal (Produksi yang maksimal). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Desember  2018 sampai April 2019, bertempat di Lahan Perkebunan Desa Tanjung Baru Petai Kecamatan Tanjung Batu, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir (OI) Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), 6 perlakuan  diulang 3 kali sehingga terdapat 6 x 3 = 18 satuan percobaan. Luas lahan yang digunakan 0,5 ha dengan jarak tanam P1 : 80 cm x 25 cm 1biji /lubang, P2: 75 cm x 25 cm 1biji/lubang, P3: 80 cm x 40 cm 2biji/perlubang, P4: 60 cm x 25 cm 1 biji/lubang, P5: 75 cm x 40 cm 2 biji/lubang, P6: 75 cm x 50 cm 3 biji/lubang. Peubah yang diamati pada tanaman jagung manis meliputi  tinggi tanaman (cm), diameter pangkal batang (mm), luas daun (cm2),panjang daun (cm), berat segar berangkasan (gr), panjang tongkol (cm), diameter tongkol (cm), jumlah baris/tongkol , Jumlah biji/tongkol (biji), berat tongkol berkelobot (gr), Berat tongkol tanpa klobot (gr). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Varietas jagung Bonanza F1 berpengaruh sangat nyata pada  tinggi tanaman, diameter pangkal batang, panjang tongkol dan jumlah baris per tongkol, berbeda nyata pada luas daun, panjang daun, diameter tongkol, jumlah biji per tongkol, dan tidak berbeda nyata pada berat segar berangkasan, berat tongkol berklobot, berat tongkol tanpa klobot. Perlakuan  P1 dengan jarak tanam 80 cm x 25 cm (1 biji/lubang)  memberikan pengaruh terbaik  dan memiliki potensi meningkatkan pertumbuhan, hasil dan komponen hasil tanaman jagung manis Bonanza F1. Kata Kunci: Varietas,  Jagung Hibrida Bonanza F1, jarak tanam, Pertumbuhan, Hasil.

Abstract

Research on Plant Ethnobotany Study in Perajen Village, Banyuasin 1 District, Banyuasin Regency, was conducted from June to July 2020. The research objective was to analyze the types of plant ethnobotany with medicinal properties and plant parts used as medicine. The study used a descriptive survey method with direct observation in the field. The method used was descriptive exploratory with interviews and field identification. The results showed that the types of medicinal plants from the spermatophyte division consisted of 2 classes, 15 orders, 17 families, 22 genera and 22 species, 49 types of diseases treated by medicinal plants, utilization of plant parts that are often used as traditional medicines by the community. Perajen Village in ethnobotany, namely leaves of 13 species of plants (35.1%), flowers, fruit, seeds, rhizomes, and roots of 3 species each (8.1%), stems, bark, sap, 2 species each. (5.4%), while the least used by the community is gel, water, tubers for each 1 species (2.7%), processing plant parts as medicine is often done by boiling.

Abstract

Background: The immune system is closely related to leukocytes. Leukocytes are part of the immune system which have an important role in every disease-causing agent. One of the efforts that can be made to increase the immune response is to provide an immunomodulator, a substance that can improve the immune system by means of stimulation (immunostimulants). Black cumin is able to stimulate bone marrow and immune cells and is able to protect normal cells from damage by disease agents, an increase in the total number of blood cells and their differentiation. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving black cumin oil extract on leukocyte levels in male mice. Methods: This type of research is experimental, to see the levels of leukocytes, after being treated with doses of 150 mg/kgBB, 300 mg/kgBB and 600 mg/kgBB for 21 days. The data obtained were then analyzed statistically using the ANOVA test. Result: The results obtained by the total number of leukocytes on day 7, day 14 and 21 showed a significant difference (p <0.05) for each treatment group. The use of black seed oil extract is very effective for boosting the immune system or immunostimulating. Conclusion: The benefit of this research is that it can provide information to the public that black cumin oil extract can be used as an alternative in increasing the body's immune system. Keywords: immunostimulants, black cumin, male mice

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk menganalisis jenis-jenis etnobotani tumbuhan obat, di Desa Pagar Ruyung Kecamatan Kota Agung Kabupaten Lahat Sumatera Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif eksploratif Teknik pengumpulan informasi yang bersifat partisipatif atau penilaian etnobotani partisipatif (participatory ethnobotani appraisal, PEA), dengan Teknik survey deskriptif wawancara tertruktur. Hasil penelitian dari  divisio Spermatophyta, ditemukan 28 family, dan 40 spesies, bagian  tumbuhan yang paling banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat  sebagai obat tradisional adalah daun sebesar 48.1%, daun merupakan bagian yang paling mudah ditemukan, mudah dalam peracikannya. Daun banyak mengandung senyawa seperti tannin, alkaloid, minyak atsiri yang berguna sebagai obat yang tersimpan di jaringan pada daun, cara pengolahan tumbuhan obat sebagian besar masih menggunakan cara tradisional seperti, dimakan langsung, diparut, ditempel, diteteskan, direbus dan diseduh. Pengolahan yang sering dilakukan masyarakat dengan cara direbus, karena penyakit yang dialami sebagian besar merupakan penyakit dalam dengan cara penggunakan diminum, pengolahan dengan cara ini sangat mudah dan hemat.

Abstract

Research on Stomata Structure in the Poaceae Family in Kota Bumi Village, Tanjung Lubuk District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, was carried out from April to May 2022. The purpose of the study was to examine the stomata structure on the adaxial (top) and abaxial (bottom) leaves of the Poaceae family. This study uses a descriptive survey method by going directly to the research location exploring the area of ​​Kota Bumi Village, Tanjung Lubuk District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. Sampling was done by direct observation observing the stomata structure of the adaxial (top) and abaxial (bottom) leaves of rice plants (Oryza sativa.), corn (Zea mays), reeds (Imperata cylindrica), sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum) and lemongrass ( Cymbopogon citratus). The results of the study found that 5 species had stomata located on the surface of the leaf Adaxia (top) and Abaxial (bottom) leaf. Amphistomatic type of stomatal spread. The shape of each guard cell is in the shape of a dumbbell. The number of neighboring cells is 2 neighboring cells. Abstract

Research that examines the morphological characteristics of medicinal plants in Prabujaya Village, Prabumulih City has been carried out from April 2022 to May 2022. This study uses a survey method. Direct retrieval explores the area of ​​Prabujaya Village, East Prabumulih District, Prabumulih City. Sampling was done by direct observation, by looking at the list of Indonesian medicinal plants and the results of direct interviews with the community. The results of the study found that there were medicinal plants from the Spermatophyta divisio, consisting of 2 classes, 12 orders, 12 families, 18 genera and 18 species. The root morphology type (Radix) has taproot and fibrous root. The stem morphology (Caulis) is in the form of pseudo stem, woody stem, wet stem and grass stem. Leaf morphology (Folium) is lanceolate (lanceolatus), elongated (oblongus), ovoid (ovatus), ribbon (ligulatus) and oblong (ovalis). Flower morphology (FLOs) includes single interest, compound interest bunches, compound interest, grain compound interest, pseudo compound interest, umbrella compound interest, strand compound interest. Fruit morphology (Fructus) includes true fruit types of buni fruit, citrus fruit, kendaga fruit, compound stone fruit, dry single true fruit, compound true fruit, and pseudo true fruit. The parts of the organs used as medicine are leaves, rhizomes, roots, stems, flowers, and fruit.

Abstract

Research on Inventory of Medicinal Plants in Muara Baru Village, Kayuagung City District, Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Regency. The research uses a descriptive survey method and observation method. Based on the results of semi-structured interviews with the people of Muara Baru Village, Kota Kayuagung District, Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Regency, 19 types of plants were found that can be used to treat various diseases. Plant parts used as medicine include: leaves, rhizomes, seeds, roots, stems, fruit and flowers. including (63.15%), as many leaves as (26.32%), as many rhizomes as (21.05%), as many flowers as (15.79%), as many roots as (10.53%), as many stems as (10 .53%), and seeds as much as (5.26%). Ways of processing plants as traditional medicine by the people of Muara Baru Village, Kota Kayu Agung District, Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Regency include boiling, kneading, blending, consuming directly and the methods of use are drinking, eating, rubbing on and using straight away.

Abstract

Research has been carried out to analyze organic C levels in soil samples using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. Carbon in soil functions as a food source for microorganisms, which can accelerate decomposition activities and reactions of organic matter in the soil. The aim of determining organic C levels is to determine the amount of organic carbon contained in soil samples, which plays an important role in assessing soil fertility. The analytical method used is UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The analysis results showed that organic C levels in soil samples ranged from 0.15% to 2.27%. Samples with code D have the highest C-organic content, namely 2.27%, while samples with code A have the lowest C-organic content, namely 0.15%. Most organic C levels were detected in the deficiency (low) category. Low levels of organic C in the soil have an impact on plant growth that is less than optimal. To improve the quality and levels of soil organic C, it is recommended to add compost or urea to reach standards that correspond to good soil quality.

Abstract

Lembaga pendidikan sekolah formal, salah satunya yaitu Sekolah Tingkat Atas (SMA/SMK/MA) baik negeri dan swasta, yang dalam pelaksanaan untuk mencapai keberhasilan dalam proses belajar mengajar, saat ini mulai menerapkan program kewirausahaan (entrepreneur) bagi siswa, terutama sejak pandemic Covid-19 melanda. Kabupaten Banyuasin merupakan salah kabupaten yang terdapat di provinsi Sumatera Selatan, secara administratif terletak di kawasan pesisir Sumatera Selatan. Dalam perkembangannya, kawasan ini sudah dapat ditempuh melalui jalur darat, sehingga akses  menuju ke sekolah lebih mudah. Program PkM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi bagi siswa dan guru dalam pembuatan terrarium sebagai pembelajaran kewirausahaan yang didasari dari pelajaran IPA. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 20 November 2023 bertempat di SMAN 1 Banyuasin II Kabupaten Banyuasin. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan simulasi langsung. Hasil yang dicapai siswa dapat menerapkan teknik pembuatan insektarium sebagai penerapan pembelajaran IPA. Media pembelajaran insektarium memudahkan siswa untuk lebih aktif belajar dan lebih paham tentang struktur serangga. Siswa diajak untuk terlibat penuh serta dilatih untuk lebih aktif dan kreatif sehingga minat belajar siswa menjadi lebih tinggi dengan mengunakan media insektarium. Minat belajar siswa sangat meningkat setalah penerapan media pembelajaran insektarium.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from tofu waste on the growth of tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum Mill.). The study was conducted in September - December 2024 at the Green House of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas PGRI Palembang. Data were analyzed at the Biology Laboratory of the Business Science Center, Universitas PGRI Palembang. Data were obtained quantitatively using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 repetitions. The treatments in this study were the administration of liquid tofu waste fertilizer with concentrations of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25%. The research data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at the 5% level, and significantly different treatments were further tested with BNJ at the 5% level. carried out with Honestly Significant Differences (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from tofu liquid waste had no significant effect on the growth of plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, and wet weight of tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum Mill). The application of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from tofu liquid waste with P4 treatment was the best result in all parameters, producing an average plant height of 7.15 cm, number of leaves 5 strands, stem diameter 0.05, and wet weight of tomato plants 0.22 grams.
