Abstract

The aim of this study is to explore the influence of entrepreneurial behavior on the performance of Small Micro Enterprises (SMEs) in the culinary sector in Pamona Puselemba District, Poso Regency. The research was conducted from August to September 2023, using a sample of 40 culinary SME operators, selected through purposive sampling from a total population of 76 businesses. Data collection methods included observation and questionnaires, designed to measure aspects of entrepreneurial behavior and business performance. Data analysis was conducted using validity tests, reliability tests, simple linear regression, and coefficient of determination tests. The results indicate that entrepreneurial behavior has a positive and significant effect on business performance, as evidenced by a positive regression coefficient between the entrepreneurial behavior variable and business performance. The coefficient of determination value shows that entrepreneurial behavior can explain about 16.1% of the variability in business performance, with the remaining variability explained by other factors outside the study. Based on these findings, it is recommended that SME operators in the culinary sector in the study area enhance their entrepreneurial behavior to achieve improved business performance. This recommendation is supported by the need for government policies and academic institution support in the form of additional capital and entrepreneurship training.

Abstract

This study aims to address the challenges of clean water management in the rural village of Saojo, located in North Pamona, Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. The research explores the critical issues affecting the village’s water supply, including undetected leaks in the distribution system, the limited availability of water sources, and the impact of prolonged droughts. The study employs a qualitative approach, allowing for an in-depth understanding of the socio-cultural and economic context influencing water management in the village. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews with local government officials and water management personnel, as well as observations of the water infrastructure and community practices. The analysis was carried out using thematic analysis, where data from interviews and observations were transcribed, categorized, and linked to the research objectives. The findings reveal that poor infrastructure maintenance, a lack of modern technology for detecting leaks, and insufficient community involvement in water management are the main obstacles to ensuring a sustainable water supply. The research also identifies potential solutions, such as the installation of a Municipal Water Supply System (PAM), the exploration of new water sources in collaboration with the Pamsimas program, and investments in advanced leak detection technology. The study concludes that a comprehensive approach involving regular monitoring and maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, community engagement, and government-private sector collaboration is essential for improving the water supply system in Saojo. By addressing these challenges holistically, the village can achieve a sustainable and reliable clean water supply, thereby improving the quality of life for its residents.

Abstract

Stunting is a health problem that is still a challenge in Indonesia, especially in areas with low economic conditions. One of the contributing factors is less than ideal parenting due to limited knowledge in managing household income to meet children's nutritional needs. This community service activity aims to improve housewives' understanding of financial management and the selection of nutritious food at low cost to support stunting prevention. This activity was carried out in Wera Village, Pamona Puselemba District, Poso Regency, involving seven families with stunted children, integrated health post cadres, and community leaders. The method used was practice-based training that included lectures, group discussions, household budget preparation simulations, and demonstrations of selecting nutritious food at low cost. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests, participatory observations, and activity documentation. The results of the pre-test and post-test showed an increase in participants' understanding by 75.7%, with an average score increasing from 45.8 to 80.5. The indicator with the highest increase was the ability to prepare a simple family budget (87.5%), followed by an understanding of the importance of balanced nutrition (70.0%) and the selection of nutritious food at low cost (70.8%). The response of the participants was very positive, shown by enthusiasm in the discussion and active involvement in the practice of preparing a budget and demonstration of selecting food ingredients. This activity succeeded in increasing household financial literacy and awareness of the importance of nutrition in the family. The practice-based approach has proven effective in improving participants' understanding and skills. For the sustainability of the program, further assistance and collaboration with posyandu cadres and the village government are needed to ensure sustainable implementation in preventing stunting.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the contribution of investment in the education sector to economic growth in Indonesia. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through literature review, this research analyzes 20 scholarly articles. The findings indicate that educational investment has both direct and indirect impacts in economic growth, particularly through improving the quality of human resources, labor productivity, and the income og small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Education also influences the informal sector, such as agriculture and the creative industries, while reinforcing ethical values in economic practices. On the other hand, the effectivenees of education policies still faces serious challenges, including low budget absorption, unequal access, and weak program evalutation. Therefore , education should be seen not only as a social necessity but also as the long-term economic development strategy. This study recommends data-driven, collaborative, and quality-oriented education policy reforms that prioritize equitable access. Properly managet investment in education has the potential to strengthen the foundation of an inclusive and sustainable national economy.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of local wisdom, specifically the Subak system, into sustainable agricultural entrepreneurship in Tolai Village, Torue District, Parigi Moutong Regency. Subak, a traditional Balinese irrigation system, incorporates the principles of Tri Hita Karana, which emphasizes harmony between humans, nature, and spirituality. The research examines how Subak practices, combined with modern agricultural techniques, promote ecological sustainability, enhance agricultural productivity, and strengthen community cohesion. The study also discusses the challenges faced by Subak, such as irrigation infrastructure issues, climate change, and pest management, and highlights adaptive strategies implemented by local farmers. Furthermore, the study underscores the importance of knowledge transfer to younger generations to ensure the continuity of Subak and its practices. The findings suggest that the integration of local wisdom into agricultural entrepreneurship contributes to the preservation of cultural heritage, supports food security, and fosters socio-economic resilience in rural communities.
