Abstract

This breast milk dam is a condition where there is swelling in the breast, which causes the flow of milk to be obstructed. The breastfeeding mother experiences stress, resulting in a decrease in the hormone oxytocin, which helps release milk from the breast. Technique Hypnobreastfeeding. This is a non-pharmacological technique that utilizes positive affirmations/suggestions to facilitate the production of breast milk. The research aims to determine the Effect of Engineering Hypnobreastfeeding on the expenditure of Breast Milk in Breastfeeding Mothers at the Moncongloe Health Center, Maros Regency. This study employs a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study consisted of 162 individuals from the Moncongloe Community Health Center in Maros District, with a total sample size of 38 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. A test was conducted in this study using the Wilcoxon statistical test to compare breastfeeding before and after treatment. The results of this study indicate that there was an effect on milk production before the intervention was administered, with a 47.4% increase, and after the intervention, milk production increased by 86.8%, suggesting a technical influence. hypnobreastfeeding in increasing the milk production of nursing mothers with p-value = 0.00 <0.05. The conclusion of this study's results is that the technique of hypnobreastfeeding is effective in increasing milk production in nursing mothers. Therefore, through this research, it is hoped that the public, especially breastfeeding mothers, can apply this as a method to facilitate breastfeeding without having to take breastfeeding booster drugs/supplements. Through the technique of hypnobreastfeeding, it also has no side effects, so it can be done at any time.

Abstract

Pre-operative anxiety in patients is a psychological response associated with excessive worry perceived by the patient as a threat when undergoing surgical procedures. This study aims to determine the effect of Benson's relaxation spiritual therapy on the anxiety of mothers before Cesarean section at RSIA Sitti Khadijah 1 Muhammadiyah Branch, Makassar. The research design used in this study is a Quasi Experiment design with a Non-Equivalent control group Pretest and Posttest method. Sampling was determined using Purposive Sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria with a sample size of 58 respondents. The statistical test used was the paired sample T test with a significance α < 0.005. The results of anxiety before the provision of Benson's relaxation therapy showed mild anxiety in 30%, moderate in 61.9%, and severe in 6.9%. After the provision of Benson's relaxation therapy, anxiety levels changed to moderate in 20.6%, mild in 68.8%, and no anxiety in 10.3% in mothers preSC. The research results show that there is an effect of Benson's spiritual relaxation therapy on anxiety in mothers preCesarean Section, with the statistical analysis using the paired T-test at a 95% confidence level showing a value of ρ= 0.000 < 0.005. The conclusion of this study is that Benson's spiritual relaxation therapy has an effect on anxiety in mothers preCesarean Section at RSIA Sitti Khadijah 1 Muhammadiyah Branch Makassar. The recommendation is for nurses and other healthcare providers to implement Benson's spiritual relaxation therapy as part of the non-pharmacological management in addressing anxiety in patients undergoing pre-operative Cesarean Section.

Abstract

According to the 2018 World Health Organization (WHO), adolescents are defined as those aged 10-19 years. Adolescence in young women is marked by the onset of menstruation. However, many young women experience problems during menstruation, such as dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea is abdominal pain caused by uterine contractions that occur before and during menstruation. There are two types of dysmenorrhea treatment, namely non-pharmacological and pharmacological treatment. One of the nonpharmacological treatments is cutaneous stimulus therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cutaneous stimulation therapy using olive oil on dysmenorrhea in nursing students at the Indonesian Muslim University. This study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest and post-test. Sampling using the purposive sampling technique included as many as 30 female students who met the inclusion criteria and experienced primary dysmenorrhea. This study used the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) pain scale. The results of this study found that before cutaneous stimulation therapy was administered, most female students experienced moderate pain levels (46.7%), and after the therapy was administered, most female students experienced mild pain levels (56.7%). The results of the statistical test using the paired T-test (p ≤ 0.05) with a p-value of 0.000 indicate that the difference is significant, so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The conclusion in this study is that there is an effect of cutaneous stimulus therapy using olive oil on dysmenorrhea in nursing students at the Indonesian Muslim University. It is expected that female students can apply cutaneous stimuli every menstrual cycle so that the intensity of dysmenorrhea can be reduced.

Abstract

Head injury is a traumatic disturbance of brain function that may or may not be accompanied by interstitial bleeding within the brain substance (2,4,5). Emergency management aims to prevent secondary brain injury, including optimizing ventilation/oxygenation and cerebral perfusion, as well as patient positioning. A common non-invasive measure is 30° head elevation (Head-Up) to facilitate cerebral venous drainage. To describe changes in consciousness level (Glasgow Coma Scale/GCS) following the application of a 30° Head-Up position in a patient with moderate head injury in the emergency department. A single-patient case report in the emergency department of RSUD Sayang Rakyat Makassar. The primary Outcome was serial GCS recorded at baseline before elevation (T0) and during observation until transfer. Head-Up 30° was an independent nursing intervention; oxygen therapy was recorded as collaborative therapy. A 50-year-old male (Mr. R) with moderate head injury and subdural hemorrhage. At T0 (10:15 WITA) GCS was 3-3-5; at 10:45 WITA it remained 3-3-5; it increased to 3-3-6 at 12:50 WITA and remained 3-3-6 until 13:54 WITA when the patient was transferred to the operating room. Available observation lasted approximately 3 hours 39 minutes; the planned 8-hour follow-up was not completed due to definitive transfer. In this case, 30° head elevation (with collaborative oxygen therapy) was followed by an improvement in GCS from 3-3-5 to 3-3-6 during ED observation. As descriptive evidence, this report cannot establish causality but supports the use of 30° Head-Up as part of non-invasive early management for head injury.
