Abstract

Fermentation is a process of preserving feed ingredients, causing chemical changes in feed ingredients as a result of enzyme activity that produces CO2 and alcohol from for Livestock Development Through Feed Fermentation Technology in the City of Tidore Islands carried out on the development of poultry, especially the Kampong chicken. The Innovation Village activity program is carried out through training in processing bran which is waste from rice milling and is a source of crude protein for livestock. Through the Kubermas Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) activities, training on rice bran processing was carried out through fermentation techniques. The output target of PKM activities is that partner livestock groups can formulation poultry feed using fermentation techniques. The Kubermas Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) results in partner livestock groups being able to be independent in providing feed for their livestock, not depending on the manufacturer's feed

Abstract

Cultivation of chicken Kampung Unggul Balitnak (KUB) is carried out with the aim of meeting the community’s need free native chicken meat. Through the Partnership Community Program (PKM) training activities for KUB chicken cultivation based and fermented feed were carried out, which in this activity began with the Socialitization of KUB Chicken Cultivation covering maintenance, feeding and disease prevention. The Cultivation system that is applied to the partner's livestock group in this PKM activity is carried out intensively, so that its maintenance can be directly controlled by the breeder. Besides training in the manufacture of fermented feed, farmers can provide quality feed and meet nutrient standards for growth and production. The result of PKM is that the Partner Livestock Group can develop intensive KUB chicken cultivation with feed produced or formulated by farmers, so as to reduce the use of factory feed.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan beberapa tepung daun leguminosa diantaranya kelor (Moringa oleifera), lamtoro (Leuchaena leucocephala), dan gamal (Gliricidia sepium) terhadap konsumsi, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum ayam broiler. Ayam yang digunakan adalah Day Old Chick (DOC) tipe pedaging sebanyak 80 ekor strain CP 707. Penelitian menggunakan metode experimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Terdapat 4 jenis perlakuan ransum (R0 = ransum kontrol, R1 = ransum + 5% tepung daun lamtoro, R2 = ransum + 5% tepung daun kelor dan R3 = ransum + 5% tepung daun gamal) dengan 4 ulangan. Apabila terdapat perbedaan pengaruh diantara perlakuan maka dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) pada taraf 5%. Ransum dan air minum diberikan secara ad libitum. Parameter yang diamati pada penelitian ini adalah konsumsi, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum ayam broiler. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan 5% tepung daun kelor (R2) dalam ransum memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum ayam broiler dibandingkan penambahan 5% tepung daun lamtoro (R1) dan gamal (R3). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disarankan agar dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang pengaruh penambahan tepung daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) terhadap konsumsi dengan penambahan lebih dari 5% dalam ransum ayam broiler.

Abstract

Training on broiler cultivation in Independent Livestock Groups is carried out with the aim that livestock groups understand broiler cultivation techniques, namely breeding, feeding and management, so as to produce optimal production and increase the economic income of livestock groups.The main problem that is often faced by broiler breeders, especially in the city of Ternate, is the high price of feed and limited availability, so many farmers are out of business.Through this activity, training is carried out on how to make broiler feed from locally available feed ingredients, easy to obtain, does not compete with human needs and the price is affordable for breeders, so as to produce quality rations and meet the standard of nutrient requirements for broiler growth. Formulation and techniques for making feed through training are carried out in a way that is simple and easy for farmers to understand.
