Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita dalam pelajaran matematika yang mana ditinjau dari kemampuan matematis dan berdasarkan gender. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literatur review. Literatur review adalah sebuah metode yang sistematis, eksplisit dan reprodusibel untuk melakukan identifikasi, evaluasi dan sintesis terhadap karya-karya hasil penelitian dan hasil pemikiran yang sudah dihasilkan oleh para peneliti dan praktisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan nilai rata-rata, minimum dan maksimum maka kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa laki-laki lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa perempuan. siswa laki-laki mampu menyebutkan informasi terkait masalah dalam soal sehingga dapat mempermudah dalam mengerjakan soal yang ada. Sedangkan siswa perempuan, lebih mengutamakan bagaimana agar soal dapat terjawab dengan cepat dan tepat, tanpa mengeksplorasi pemahaman yang dimilikinya, sehingga siswa perempuan tidak memiliki sudut pandang yang berbeda dalam menyelesaikan soal yang di berikan. Selain itu, siswa laki-laki memiliki daya abstraksi yang baik, sehingga dapat lebih mudah mengekplorasi pemahaman yang dimiliki untuk menyelesaikan soal segiempat dan segitiga, dan siswa laki-laki memiliki daya kritis yang baik dalam menyelesaikan soal yang ada.

Abstract

Unlimited use of the internet in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 due to technological developments causes everything to be limitless. It is believed that this era will disrupt many fields, without exception in the field of Indonesian language and literature education. Aligning learning at a practical level that is adapted to the curriculum construct becomes the first focus of homework competition in the field of education. Prioritizing 'soft skills' and 'transversal skills', life skills, and invisible skills related to certain work and academic fields. This article uses a research method. This article is written using a descriptive exploratory approach using a literature study, where data is collected to see the real situation that is happening now. These results provide an overview of how the process of integrating digital technology in learning mathematics. Practicing student discipline is also evident in this study. Increased knowledge of students at the cognitive level is not influenced by the initial ability of students, but is influenced by the ability of teachers as creators to create a fun learning process that can have an impact on improving student learning outcomes themselves.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi ditemukan bahwa siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal permutasi. Siswa mengalami kebingungan untuk menggunakan rumus karena siswa mengalami keraguan dan belum memahami konsep permutasi. Siswa membutuhkan pembelajaran yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan nyata siswa untuk lebih memahami konsep permutasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan lintasan pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep permutasi melalui aktivitas pemilihan ketua OSIM (Organisasi Intra Madrasah). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode design research dengan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) dan dilaksanakan pada Madrasah Aliyah Darul Huda OKU Timur dengan subyek 30 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah observasi, lembar aktivitas siswa, video, foto, dan catatan lapangan dengan menghasilkan lintasan pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep permutasi. Penelitian ini diawali dengan aktivitas menentukan bentuk pengurus yang mungkin terjadi pada pemilihan ketua OSIM dari 2, 3, 4, dan 5 kandidat, kemudian siswa menentukan jumlah susunan kelompok yang dapat terbentuk dari pemilihan tersebut dan siswa dapat menemukan konsep permutasinya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripiskan self-regulated learning peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal literasi numerasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini bersubjekkan siswa kelas XI Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan  (TKJ) sebanyak dua kelas  di SMK Muhamamdiyah 03 Sukaraja yang dipilih secara random sampling. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 56 orang peserta didik. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas XI pada sekolah yang dipilih. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan inventori yang telah divalidasi sebelumnya. Instrumen inventori yang dipilih yaitu inventori self-regulated learning yang valid dan reliabel. Pernyataan dalam inventori ini berisi 30 butir pernyataan dengan skala Likert.  Hasil yang diperoleh dari inventori yang dibagikan menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap pertama yaitu perencanaan diperoleh rata-rata persentase peserta didik mampu merencanakan pemecahan maslaah sebesar 32%, kemudian pada tahap perencanaan memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 51%, selanjutnya pada tahap terakhir yaitu evaluasi memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 17% jauh dibawah rata-rata tahap lainnya. Sedangkan, secara keseluruhan rata-rata dari persentase hasil inventori self-regulated learning peserta didik adalah 23,06% yang menunjukkan kategori sedang.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan salah satu kemampuan dasar yang menjadi standar proses pendidikan. Perlunya pendekatan pembelajaran serta sarana pembelajaran yang tepat agar kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa materi ukuran pemusatan data antara kelas dengan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) dan pendekatan konvensional. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini yakni siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Harjowinangun sedangkan sebagai sampel yaitu kelas VIIIB dan VIIIC. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh thitung = 4.360 dan ttabel = 2.007 , dimana nilai thitung > ttabel yang menjadikan H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa antara kelas dengan menggunakan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) dan pendekatan konvensional.

Abstract

With the advancement of technology and computing capabilities of computers, various applications and algorithms that were previously not applicable to portable devices such as laptops and smartphones can now be applied. Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the increasingly popular techniques that are now a part of everyday life. AI is an umbrella term that refers to the simulation of human intelligence by machines that use big data to perform various tasks. AI has benefited many aspects of human life, including education. However, AI also has significant negative effects. This study aims to study the influence of artificial intelligence on students' critical thinking skills. This study uses qualitative research and literature analysis. However, the study also identified several negative impacts, including reliance on technology, unassured information quality, social isolation, and ethical and privacy concerns. Therefore, a balanced and strategic approach is needed in integrating AI in education to ensure that its benefits can be maximized, while its negative impact is minimized.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how deep learning influences students’ mathematical critical thinking skills. In mastering mathematics—which requires reasoning, analysis, and systematic review—critical thinking is essential to address the challenges of the 21st century. This research employs a quasi-experimental design using a pretest-posttest control group model. The subjects of the study were eighth-grade junior high school students, divided into an experimental group and a control group. The main instruments used were a mathematical critical thinking skills test and a learning activity observation sheet. The findings indicate that students who participated in instruction based on a deep learning approach showed a significant improvement in critical thinking skills compared to those who received conventional instruction. Unlike students who underwent standard learning methods, those exposed to deep learning strategies experienced a notable enhancement in their critical thinking abilities. Based on these findings, the implementation of deep learning is recommended more broadly in mathematics classroom instruction.

Abstract

Learning mathematics, particularly in the area of solid geometry, is often perceived as difficult by elementary school students, which highlights the need for appropriate learning media to support their understanding. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of learning media based on the Amazing Geometry Augmented Reality application in introducing solid geometry concepts to students. The research employed a pre-experimental design using a one-group pre-test and post-test. The population and sample consisted of all fifth-grade students at SDN Margodadi, totaling 11 students, selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected using essay tests that had undergone content and empirical validation, as well as reliability testing. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics, a normality test, and a paired sample t-test using IBM SPSS 26. The results showed that the average post-test score was higher than the pre-test score. The paired sample t-test indicated a t-count value of 15.486, which was greater than the t-table value of 1.812, with a significance level (2-tailed) of less than 0.05. These findings demonstrate that the use of the Amazing Geometry Augmented Reality application has a significant positive impact on students’ understanding of solid geometry. Overall, this study suggests that integrating augmented reality into mathematics instruction can enhance the learning process, particularly in the introduction of spatial concepts, and offers valuable implications for the broader use of technology in elementary mathematics education.

Abstract

Reading is a fundamental part of language proficiency, especially in Indonesian, which is the national language. Therefore, mastering early reading skills is a prerequisite for mastering other language skills. Finding out whether the use of word card media has an impact on students' reading skills is the purpose of this study. This study used a quasi-experimental research design. Reading assessment was used to collect data. The reliability of the instrument was tested with the split-half method, while its validity was based on content validity. It is recommended that teachers use card media to teach beginning reading in grade two elementary school because the use of word card media can affect students' beginning reading ability. The results showed that the significance value (2-tailed) was 0.05 in accordance with the two means difference test with t-test using SPSS software with a significance level of 0.05. Since the sig value is 0.05, H0 is rejected for the test of the average difference in the final score of students' beginning reading ability, especially between two parties. This indicates that there is a difference between students who use word card media and those who do not use word card media. Keywords: Students' Reading Ability, Word Card Media

Abstract

The study assessed the numeracy skills of junior high school students. The participants of this study were eighth-grade students from SMP Negeri 01 BP Peliung enrolled in ANBK. The tools in this study were a numeracy proficiency assessment and an interview questionnaire. The numeracy skill assessment in this study was administered to students utilizing Google Workspace and comprised six questions. The numeracy questions administered to students consist of AKM-type inquiries, including multiple-choice, complex-choice, true-false, and descriptive questions. This research involved interviews with six subjects, categorized into high, medium, and low numeracy skills, with two subjects in each category. This interview was conducted to assess students' numeracy skills based on seven components encompassed within three indicators of numeracy skills. Individuals with high numeracy proficiency demonstrate that all three indicators of numeracy are satisfied. Those with moderate numeracy proficiency meet only two indicators, specifically the skill to formulate situations and employ mathematical concepts, procedures, facts, and reasoning. Conversely, individuals with low numeracy proficiency fulfil only one indicator, the skill to formulate the situation.
