Abstract

Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) is a strategic plantation commodity in Indonesia that plays an important role in the national economy. However, the productivity of these plants is often hampered by pest attacks such as fireworms (Setora nitens) and horn beetles (Oryctes rhinoceros). So far, pest control has relied more on synthetic pesticides that have a negative impact on the environment and health. This study aims to explore the potential of local entomopathogenic fungi from oil palm rhizosphere soils as biological agents for pest control. The research was carried out through the stages of isolation, morphological characterization, and bioassay tests on Tenebrio molitor larvae. The results showed six mushroom isolates, namely Aspergillus sp., Beauveria sp., and Trichoderma sp. From the bioassay test, three isolates were pathogenic to the larvae, with the isolate Beauveria sp. (CRT 03) showed the highest mortality of 85%, LT₅₀ for 4.26 days, and mycosis 55.88%. These results show that Beauveria sp. CRT 03 has high potential as a local bioinsecticide. This research supports the development of sustainable pest control in oil palm plantations through the use of environmentally friendly biological agents.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping many aspects of education, yet its meaningful contribution to mathematics instruction and student learning outcomes remains underexplored. Understanding how AI can enhance mathematical thinking, problem-solving, and personalized learning is critical in preparing students for future competencies. One of the challenges in learning mathematics is how to make it relevant to the times. One emerging approach was using artificial intelligence (AI) in mathematics education. Based on a literature review, this study aimed to explore and describe the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in mathematics education. The method used was a literature review with a narrative design. Literature searches were conducted through reputable international sites such as Scopus, ScienceDirect, Springer, and World Scientific, with English keywords and years from 2015 to 2025. The collected literature was thematically analyzed to identify key themes such as AI usage trends, AI development potential, and implementation challenges. The results indicated that AI was increasingly used in mathematics education, particularly in various AI-assisted instructional tasks. Further potential in AI shows promise in personalizing learning and automating tasks, though challenges remain. In conclusion, AI is promising to transform mathematics education through adaptive, individualized, and data-informed learning approaches. However, its success depended on careful planning, teacher readiness, ethical frameworks, and alignment with educational goals and local contexts. These findings underscored the need for further research and context-specific development to ensure AI's effective and equitable integration into mathematics learning environments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyoroti peran penting kesadaran metakognitif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa salah satu MAN di Sleman dan menggunakan kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kuesioner terkait aktivitas metakognitif yang mencakup kesadaran, regulasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan tingkat kesadaran metakognitif yang tinggi memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang lebih baik. Sebaliknya, siswa dengan kesadaran metakognitif rendah mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami masalah, memilih strategi yang tepat, dan mengevaluasi kemajuan mereka. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan keterampilan metakognitif sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kinerja siswa dalam pemecahan masalah matematika. Selain itu, data kualitatif dari wawancara dan observasi mengungkapkan bahwa guru memainkan peran penting dalam mendorong refleksi, pemikiran strategis, dan evaluasi diri pada siswa. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar praktik pendidikan lebih fokus pada pelatihan metakognitif untuk mendukung perkembangan kognitif dan metakognitif siswa.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu kompetensi esensial yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Sebab kemampuan berpikir kritis dapat melatih siswa untuk berpikir lebih logis, sistematis, dan analitis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VII di MTs Negeri 9 Sleman pada materi persegi dan persegi panjang. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan melalui subjek penelitian sebanyak 61 siswa. Adapun hasil jawaban siswa dikategorikan menjadi 3 kategori yaitu tinggi, sedang, dan tinggi. Prosedur dalam penelitian ini meliputi penyusunan instrumen tes, validasi instrumen tes, revisi instrumen tes, uji coba lapangan, analisis data, dan terakhir mendeskripsikan hasil kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa tes uraian yang mengacu pada lima indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu interpretation, analysis, inference, evaluation, dan explanation. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian dimulai dari pengumpulan data, mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan yang terkahir menarik kesimpulan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 13 siswa berketegori tinggi, 34 siwa berkategori sedang, dan 14 siswa berkategori rendah dengan masing-masing kategori memiliki pencapaian yang berbeda-beda

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of ChatGPT by prospective mathematics teacher students and to examine the potential risks of using ChatGPT in coursework. A case study method with a qualitative approach is employed in this research. Data is collected through a survey, which is distributed online via Google Forms to prospective mathematics teacher students. The results indicate that ChatGPT significantly enhances learning efficiency and aids in completing assignments. However, there are concerns about potential misuse and its negative impact on critical thinking skills and academic ethics. These findings highlight the need for wise usage guidelines and education regarding the ethical use of AI technology in education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren dan kebaruan (novelty) penelitian skripsi mahasiswa pada Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode analisis bibliometrik terhadap 194 judul skripsi dalam kurun waktu lima tahun terakhir. Data dikumpulkan melalui dokumentasi dan dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak VOSviewer untuk mengidentifikasi pola, kecenderungan, serta keterkaitan antar topik penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian mahasiswa didominasi oleh pendekatan kuantitatif, khususnya kuasi-eksperimen, dengan fokus utama pada model pembelajaran seperti Problem Based Learning dan variabel seperti pemahaman konsep serta pemecahan masalah. Penelitian kualitatif dan pengembangan telah dilakukan, namun masih terbatas pada pendekatan deskriptif dan produk konvensional seperti LKPD. Selain itu, ditemukan adanya kecenderungan repetisi topik dan keterbatasan eksplorasi metodologi serta variabel penelitian.Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya diversifikasi metodologi, eksplorasi variabel kognitif dan afektif yang lebih kompleks, serta integrasi teknologi dalam penelitian pendidikan matematika. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar dalam pengembangan kebijakan akademik dan peningkatan kualitas penelitian mahasiswa.

Abstract

The development of interactive Electronic Student Worksheets (E-LKPD) plays an important role in supporting technology-integrated mathematics learning. However, many teachers still face challenges in developing interactive E-LKPD, particularly related to technical and pedagogical skills. This article aims to describe the implementation and outcomes of a community service program in the form of community-based training and mentoring on interactive E-LKPD development for mathematics teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) in Sleman Regency. The program was conducted fully online in 2025 and involved 30 mathematics teachers who are members of the MTs Mathematics Teacher Working Group (MGMP). A Community-Based Research (CBR) approach was employed, consisting of preparation, training implementation, and mentoring stages. Program evaluation was carried out qualitatively by collecting participants’ feedback, comments, and suggestions. The results indicate an improvement in teachers’ ability to develop interactive E-LKPD, positive perceptions of the training and mentoring activities, and teachers’ intentions to implement interactive E-LKPD in mathematics instruction. Nevertheless, several challenges were identified, including limited digital experience and technical constraints. Overall, the findings suggest that community-based training and mentoring have the potential to provide sustainable impact in enhancing mathematics teachers’ digital pedagogical competence.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the hermeneutic insight in the formation of students’ ways of thinking (WoT) toward the precise meaning of the limit concept in differential calculus. Formally, the concept of limit is defined through the relationship between ε (epsilon) and δ (delta), namely that for every ε > 0, there exists a δ > 0 such that if 0 < |x − a| < δ, then |f(x) − L| < ε, expressing a precise dependency between function values and domain values. However, students often interpret this definition in ways that do not fully capture its relational meaning. This qualitative case study involved 28 undergraduate students and used written tasks, interviews, and classroom observations to collect data. The analysis integrates the WoT framework, which consists of empirical, procedural, and theoretical ways of thinking, with a hermeneutic perspective to explore how students construct meaning. The findings show that most students’ reasoning is dominated by empirical and procedural ways of thinking of the ε–δ, reflected in substitution, approximation, and symbolic manipulation. From a hermeneutic perspective, these patterns indicate that students interpret limit within restricted interpretative horizons. Only a few students demonstrate theoretical reasoning, suggesting an emerging integration between prior understanding and formal structure. These findings suggest that students’ difficulties with limits are not only cognitive but also interpretative, highlighting the importance of supporting meaning-making in calculus learning.

Abstract

Literasi statistik merupakan kompetensi fundamental dalam penelitian pendidikan, namun kecemasan statistik (statistics anxiety) tetap menjadi hambatan signifikan bagi mahasiswa non-STEM, khususnya di lingkungan Pendidikan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi manifestasi, faktor pemicu, dan dampak kecemasan statistik pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Menggunakan metode studi kasus kualitatif, data dikumpulkan dari 10 mahasiswa PAI yang dipilih melalui screening menggunakan instrumen multidimensi dari total 34 responden. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan adanya fenomena "disonansi identitas keilmuan", di mana mahasiswa merasa statistik tidak selaras dengan latar belakang keilmuan agama mereka. Kecemasan ini dipicu oleh persepsi diri negatif, pengalaman matematika masa lalu yang kurang memadai, kompleksitas konten prosedural, dan desain pedagogis. Manifestasi kecemasan muncul dalam dimensi emosional-kognitif (seperti cognitive freezing), fisik-somatik, serta perilaku, termasuk pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan (AI) sebagai strategi coping adaptif. Dampak dari kecemasan ini bersifat multidimensional, memengaruhi efektivitas proses belajar, performa evaluasi, dan relasi sosial akademik. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pendekatan holistik melalui intervensi individual, reframing materi statistik dalam konteks keilmuan PAI, serta integrasi teknologi AI yang terarah (scaffolded) untuk meminimalkan ketergantungan dan memperkuat pemahaman konseptual.
