Abstract

Cyberbullying is an increasingly worrying social problem in the digital era, especially among adolescents and students. This study aims to examine the behavior patterns, trigger factors, and psychological impact of cyberbullying behavior. The method used was literature review. The samples used were journals published on googlescholar, researchgate and garuda (national reference garba). Article findings are limited from 2020-2025. The results of the research reviewed show that cyberbullying is mostly influenced by social conformity, where a person tends to follow along without thinking. In addition, external factors such as the rapid development of technology and weak social control also exacerbate this phenomenon. The impact can be very serious, ranging from decreased self-confidence, excessive anxiety, to psychological disorders such as depression and a tendency to isolate oneself. Furthermore, an understanding of the behavior patterns, triggering factors, and psychological impact can be the basis for designing more effective interventions to prevent and address cyberbullying in the future.

Abstract

Aggressive behavior in adolescents is a complex problem and can have an impact on emotional, social, and psychological development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence individual aggressiveness and evaluate effective forms of intervention in dealing with it. This study used a literature study approach by analyzing 30 accredited national journals in the last five years. The results showed that aggressive behavior was triggered by external factors such as authoritarian parenting, excessive use of social media, and online game addiction. On the other hand, internal factors such as low self-control and inability to manage emotions also play a role. Early detection is an important step to identify risks early on. Interventions that have proven effective include educational programs, self-management-based group guidance, and individual counseling services. Collaboration between parents, education, and professionals is needed to create an environment that supports positive adolescent maturity and development.

Abstract

Social media provides benefits for teenagers, such as access to information, communication, and entertainment, but it also poses challenges, particularly addiction. This study analyzes its impact on mental health, sleep patterns, social interactions, academic performance, and consumer behavior through a literature review (2021–2025). The findings indicate that social media addiction increases the risk of anxiety, depression, and emotional disorders while also disrupting sleep patterns. Socially, direct interactions decrease, and communication skills decline. Academically, focus on learning weakens, and academic performance declines, while consumer behavior increases due to excessive social media exposure. In conclusion, uncontrolled use has significant negative effects, highlighting the need for proper management strategies.

Abstract

Phubbing behavior has become a significant global phenomenon among adolescents, with multidimensional impacts on social interactions, mental health, and academic performance. This article aims to analyze the causal factors, impacts, and prevention strategies of phubbing. This research uses a literature study type by analyzing several relevant articles. The results showed that the main factors driving phubbing include smartphone addiction, Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), boredom, and low self-control. Impacts include decreased quality of social interactions, increased anxiety, decreased academic focus, and physical impairments such as headaches. Although some studies indicate phubbing does not significantly affect friendship satisfaction in certain groups, the phenomenon generally disrupts interpersonal relationships. The proposed solution involves a holistic approach through digital literacy education, family interventions, school policies and physical activity.

Abstract

Depression in adolescents, especially high school students, is a serious mental health problem with significant impacts on psychological well-being, academic performance, and social life. Risk factors such as academic pressure, family conflict, negative mindset, and social media addiction contribute to the increasing prevalence of depression. Early detection in the school environment is a critical step to prevent adverse effects such as self-harm and suicidal ideation. Depression in adolescents is multifactorial and requires a holistic approach. Early detection through symptom screening, mental health education, and school-family-professional collaboration are essential preventive strategies. Recommendations include the integration of mental health modules into the school curriculum and teacher training for early risk identification.
