Abstract

Abstract

The demands of multitasking and dual roles make career women vulnerable to musculoskeletal (MSK) complaints and psychosocial fatigue. Self-Massage Release (SMR), as a form of Self-Myofascial Release, has the potential to be a safe, affordable, and applicable self-intervention. This study evaluated the effectiveness of SMR education based on participatory andragogy in a community of athlete parents at the “I Can Gymnastic” Artistic Gymnastics Club, East Jakarta (June 26, 2025; n=20; aged 30–40 years). The intervention included baseline assessment, theoretical presentation, demonstration (manual/fingers, tennis ball, foam roller), practice with guided correction, and reflection–evaluation. Pre–post assessments covered knowledge/skills, pain (VAS), MSK complaints (NMQ), and work productivity (WHO-HPQ-SF). At baseline, 85% of participants reported mild–moderate pain/stiffness and 70% had never practiced SMR. Post-program, 93% could explain SMR benefits and 87% demonstrated correct techniques, showing effective transfer of knowledge and psychomotor skills. NMQ complaints decreased in the trunk and upper limbs (especially lower/upper back, neck, shoulders), mean VAS decreased from 6.2 to 3.1 with the greatest reduction in neck and shoulders, and productivity increased from 72% to 86% (+14 points), indicating a shift from passive (medication/rest) to active-preventive strategies. These findings confirm that community-based SMR education with paired practice and guided correction is effective, applicable, and replicable as an empowering, low-cost, and sustainable health approach for career women. Future studies should conduct controlled trials with larger participants, longer follow-up, objective movement/ muscle function measures, and cost–benefit analysis for productivity outcomes.

Abstract

Flexibility muscle hamstrings for futsal athletes have role important to support performance physique like acceleration and running fast , and prevent injury . This study aims to determine influence Nordic Hamstring exercises against improvement flexibility hamstring muscles in futsal athletes at Jakarta State University. This study used approach one group test -posttest design. A total of 15 samples study get treatment exercise Nordic hamstring s as many as 16 meetings . To find out influence from exercise nordic hamstring against improvement flexibility hamstring muscles using instrument sit and reach with tool flexometer . Research results disclose there is significant difference in a way statistics on flexibility hamstring muscles before and after do exercise Nordic hamstring (p = 0.001 or p < 0.05). With thus can concluded that exercise nordic hamstring effect positive to improvement flexibility hamstring muscles in futsal athletes at Jakarta State University. This study recommends use exercise Nordic hamstring as part from exercise programs for flexibility extremities down and up performance in futsal athletes .

Abstract

Background: Glucose availability affects athlete performance, while fatigue can decrease it. One way to prevent fatigue and maintain performance is by consuming high-carbohydrate drinks. This study aims to analyze the effect of date palm juice and sports drink energy gel x on glucose levels. Methods: This study used a three-period double-blind cross-over design in Hall B, Jakarta State University, involving 10 healthy KOP Hockey athletes from Jakarta State University. Each period, participants underwent a moderate-intensity match with glucose measurements at 0, 20, 40, and 45 minutes. Between periods were separated by a 7-day washout to see significant differences between treatments. Results: Both types of carbohydrate drinks had no significant difference in carbohydrate content. Differences were considered significant if the value (P < 0.05). In treatment groups I and II, there was a significant difference in glucose levels between the 20th and 40th minutes, and between the 20th and 45th minutes, with a P value = 0.001 in group I. Conclusion: Both administration of date palm juice (phoenix dactylifera) mixed with water, and sports drink energy gel x had a significant effect on increasing blood glucose levels in the Jakarta State University hockey team. Keywords: dates extract, sport drink energy gel, blood glucose

Abstract

Abstract Concentration is an important skill for elementary school children to support their learning success. This study aims to determine the effect of archery activities on the concentration levels of elementary school children. The research method used was a pre-experiment with a pretest and posttest one-group design. The research sample consisted of 15 children at SDN Duren Tiga 14 South Jakarta. Concentration levels were measured using the Concentration Grid Test (CGT). The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in concentration scores, with a pretest average of 2.33 and a posttest average of 9.47. Archery activities were proven to be effective in improving the concentration of elementary school children at SDN Duren Tiga 14, South Jakarta. Archery can be used as a means of cognitive stimulation in schools to improve children's concentration. Keywords: archery activities, archery sports, concentration. nd a posttest average of 9.47.
