Abstract

The writing of this community service journal is the result of activities carried out to be able to provide socialization of the importance of having competence and understanding digital marketing for increasing entrepreneurial capacity and also the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0 era. This community service activity was carried out in Gunasari Village, South Sumedang District, Sumedang Regency. This training and guidance was given to PKK members in Gunasari Village. This activity is carried out as an effort to improve digital marketing competencies and capabilities in the hope of increasing entrepreneurial capacity. So that this achievement is expected to form independence and strengthen the family and community economy

Abstract

Karakter merupakan esensi penting dari pendidikan yang perlu dibangun oleh peserta didik. Ecoliteracy sebagai kecerdasan yang berhubungan dengan lingkungan dan dianggap sebagai bagian dari karakter. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menginternalisasikan karakter yang ada pada gerakan nasional revolusi mental dalam membangun kecerdasan ecoliteracy peserta didik. Subjek dalam pengabdian ini yaitu  peserta didik di SMP Assalaam Bandung. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini terdiri atas tiga bagian, yaitu mendesain pembelajaran, mengidentifikasi pengoorganisasian, dan implementasi serta refleksi kegiatan.  Hasil yang diperoleh dari pengabdian ini dalam menginternalisasikan revolusi mental yaitu desain pembelajaran dengan meningkatkan kecerdasan ecoliteracy dilakukan dengan memadukan elemen alam dan lingkungan sebagai media sekaligus sumber pembelajaran. Adapun dalam implementasi proses pembelajarannya, guru IPS memiliki kewenangan untuk mengembangkan materi IPS ke dalam tema-tema yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik serta situasi dan kondisi lingkungan sekolah. Sedangkan, refleksi selama proses pembelajaran menunjukkan diantaranya media harus yang ramah lingkungan, serta perlu adanya penguatan materi pembelajaran dalam konsep reuse, reduce, dan recycle. Kesimpulan dari hasil pengabdian ini adalah ecoliteracy sebagai kecerdasan berhubungan dengan lingkungan dianggap sebagai bagian karakter yang selaras dengan nilai-nilai dalam revolusi mental dan implementasinya diperkuat dalam proses pembelajaran IPS yang bertujuan untuk menjadi smart and good citizenship.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine endorsement as a modern social media marketing trend. This research used a descriptive type of approach using a qualitative approach. The research subject is the Awkarin Online Shop Seller who is asked to provide information about a fact or opinion. The results of the researchers in this study are in accordance with the research conducted, namely Awkarin has 4 million Instagram followers, and is dominated by young people. Few have read the newspapers or heard the radio before seeing the advertisements. In addition, the television industry is increasingly widespread, so that the ease of changing channels makes people lazy to wait for advertisements from Endors to become a trend in marketing products, and there are many advantages of endorsers compared to commercial advertisements. Endorsements or endorsements are one of the new trends in generating more dynamic marketing strategies that are more effective for increasing sales. Endorsements are a form of advertising revolution, in a more personal way. Because endorsed goods are usually made as if they are goods that seem more natural than commercial advertisements. In addition, endorsement is one way to build public trust and endorsers make the sales value increase.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the challenges faced by humans today related to the environment. Ecoliteracy intelligence needs to be developed especially for FKIP students at the University of Bale Bandung, who are prospective educators to create environmentally friendly character- based learning. This study aims to analyze: (1) the eco-literacy intelligence of FKIP Bale University Bandung students; (2) Factors that become obstacles and potential in building eco- literacy intelligence for FKIP UNIBBA students; and (3) The implementation of eco-literacy competencies through project citizens. The method used was a survey in four study programs, with respondents consisting of study program heads/secretaries, teaching staff, and students. The results of the study show that (1) In general, FKIP UNIBBA students have good eco- literacy intelligence in preserving the environment; (2) The potential effort to increase students' eco- literacy intelligence is implemented in an integrated curriculum in each study program, especially those related to ethics and environmental awareness courses, a global perspective, PLSBS Sundanese Culture which is a special subject based on local wisdom of FKIP UNIBBA. Meanwhile, the obstacles in efforts to increase the eco-literacy intelligence of FKIP UNIBBA students are the absence of a policy to provide a special budget for the provision of environmentally friendly facilities; (3) The project citizen model is a character-based learning model to create smart and wise citizens who are built through ecological intelligence. Strategic policies to create a green and environmentally friendly campus need to be improved.

Abstract

The Barbie 2023 film is an audiovisual work that provides an overview of popular culture and can influence gender perceptions in society. This research aims to explore gender representation among the main characters in the film Barbie 2023. Qualitative research methods with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis techniques are used to find out the meaning construction of symbols and signs both verbal and nonverbal to explain gender representations in barbie films. The analysis displays gender stereotypes that influence the career choices, aspirations, and perceived abilities of the main characters. However, the film also depicts empowerment in which characters such as Barbie, Ken, and Midge challenge gender stereotypes, expand life options, and develop a social awareness of equality. The dynamics of relationships between characters also show changing views about gender. The correlation of this film with social studies education provides an opportunity to explore gender issues. This film is a learning material that stimulates critical thinking, reflection, and the development of students' social skills, such as empathy and cooperation, to fight for inclusive and just social change. The analysis of the Barbie 2023 film highlights the representation of the character's role in influencing gender perceptions, aspirations and the dynamics of social relationships. The film showcases the potential for overcoming gender stereotypes, promoting empowerment, and promoting gender equality as an integral part of social studies education to create an inclusive and just society for all individuals. Further studies could explore effective educational strategies to overcome gender stereotypes reflected in films, as well as their influence on students' mindsets in the context of gender equality.Keywords: Gender Stereotypes, Relationship Dynamics, Social Sciences Education.

Abstract

Gunasari Village in Sumedang Regency has a rich and unique tradition of making Uyun Brooms, but this tradition is threatened with extinction due to modernization and globalization. The use of plastic materials in the production of Uyun Brooms is increasing, while the interest of the younger generation in continuing this skill is decreasing. To overcome this problem, the Social Entrepreneurship Innovation Training program in Sustainable Uyun Broom Production was designed with the aim of returning production methods to the use of natural materials, improving social entrepreneurship skills, and developing sustainable production models that support economic and environmental prosperity. This program will be implemented through several stages, preparation, namely by meeting participants and preparing training modules, implementing intensive training which includes theory and practice, mentoring by mentors through field visits, implementing demonstration plots as a solidification of sustainable production techniques, as well as consultation and social engineering to increase participation. public. Evaluation and reporting will be carried out to assess program achievements. The targeted outputs are Broom Uyun products that use entirely natural ingredients, increasing business management skills and sustainable production among craftsmen, sustainable social entrepreneurship models, effective marketing strategies, and preserving the tradition of making Broom Uyun.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi tantangan pelestarian budaya dan lingkungan di Rumah Adat Cikondang, yang terletak di Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat. Pertanyaan penelitian yang diajukan adalah: (1) Bagaimana sejarah adat budaya di Rumah Adat Cikondang? (2) Bagaimana tantangan pelestarian budaya di Rumah Adat Cikondang? (3) Bagaimana tantangan pelestarian lingkungan di sekitar rumah adat ini? Penelitian ini menempatkan Rumah Adat Cikondang sebagai salah satu representasi penting dari kearifan lokal masyarakat Sunda dan simbol harmoni antara manusia dan alam, yang menghadapi ancaman modernisasi dan perubahan lingkungan. Untuk menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan tersebut, metode yang digunakan adalah analisis literatur serta observasi lapangan yang dilakukan di Kampung Adat Cikondang. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa sejarah rumah adat tersebut erat kaitannya dengan perjalanan masyarakat Sunda dalam menjaga adat dan lingkungan, meskipun mengalami banyak tantangan sejak masa kolonial. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi bahwa tantangan utama dalam pelestarian budaya dan lingkungan adalah pengaruh modernisasi, urbanisasi, serta kurangnya dukungan konkret dalam menjaga nilai-nilai tradisional dan lingkungan alam. Hasil diskusi menunjukkan bahwa upaya pelestarian memerlukan pendekatan terpadu yang menggabungkan aspek budaya dan lingkungan. Kontribusi penelitian ini adalah memberikan wawasan holistik tentang bagaimana budaya dan lingkungan dapat dilestarikan secara bersama-sama dalam menghadapi tantangan modernisasi, sehingga memberikan pandangan baru dalam studi pelestarian budaya tradisional.

Abstract

Dynamic changes in the digital era create great challenges for the younger generation, especially in an environment characterized by Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA). Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and doom spending is a significant behavioral manifestation among the younger generation, including Bale Bandung University students. This study aims to analyze the role of the VUCA framework in shaping both phenomena and provide insight into the factors that influence these behaviors. The research method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which allows for a structured analysis of relevant academic literature. Data was obtained from reputable journals, conference proceedings, and educational books using strict inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis was conducted by categorizing the findings based on the elements of VUCA and its relationship with FOMO and doom spending. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)The results show that VUCA elements, such as uncertainty and complexity, exacerbate FOMO and doom spending tendencies, especially through the influence of social media (3 article). College students who face social and financial pressures in a dynamic environment exhibit impulsive consumptive behavior as a coping mechanism for these pressures. The findings are consistent with previous studies, but extend the literature by integrating the VUCA framework in the analysis. This research makes a significant contribution to understanding the impact of VUCA on young people's social behavior and opens opportunities for the development of intervention strategies. These results are relevant for educational institutions and policymakers in designing digital literacy, financial management, and mental support programs. In conclusion, a VUCA-based approach can be a foundation for addressing increasingly complex social challenges in the digital age.

Abstract

Cikondang Traditional Village has a rich culture and local wisdom that still maintains traditions, customs and cultural practices. This research aims to develop an inclusive social studies learning model by utilizing Cikondang Traditional Village as a natural and cultural laboratory. The method in this research uses a mixed methods approach, which is a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. This approach allows researchers to obtain comprehensive and in-depth data on the effectiveness of the developed learning model. The results showed that integrating the local potential of Cikondang Traditional Village into social studies learning can provide a more contextual, authentic, and meaningful learning experience for students. In addition, social studies learning currently also faces problems of inequality of access and inclusiveness. Students with different social, economic and cultural backgrounds often do not get equal opportunities to participate and understand the subject matter well. Thus, innovation is needed in social studies learning that not only makes the subject matter more relevant and contextual, but also inclusive for all learners through natural and cultural laboratories that actually exist in the community, namely the Cikondang traditional village.
