Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the corrosion rate of carbon steel as flowline and pipeline in natural gas production with CO2 content. The influence of variety of conditions that represent the actual conditions in practice such as CO2 partial pressure and solution composition, particularly NaCl percentage were performed. Research conducted by polarization test and simulation methods using PREDICTTM software. The result of this research is used to illustrate the level of corrosion rate of typical carbon steel i.e. API 5L X-52 occurred in natural gas pipelines due to the effect of dissolved CO2. From the experiments obtained that corrosion rate of steel in environments containing CO2 ranged between 15-28 mpy. This high corrosion rate observed could severely damage natural gas transmission flowline and pipeline. The result of this research is the first step, as an input for prevention efforts, to prevent leakage of flowline and pipeline due to corrosion of CO2 which appropriate with the lifetime that has been designed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess the regional financial independence in financing the implementation of regional autonomy, measure the effectiveness and efficiency in realizing regional revenue, measure the extent to which regional government activities spend their regional revenue, measure the contribution of each source of income in the formation of regional revenue, and see the growth/ the development of revenue and expenditure earned during a certain period. The method used in this research is descriptive method of the budget and regional financial achievements or realization. The analytical tools used in this study use the Regional Financial Independence Ratio Analysis (RKKD) and the Analysis Effectiveness Ratio and Efficiency Ratio. The conclusions of this study are (1) The financial independence of Ciamis District from 2013 to 2018 is still low by showing a pattern of instructive relationships, where the role of the central government is more dominant in terms of assistance in the form of the General Allocation Fund (DAU). (2) In the 2013 until the observation in 2018 it turns out that the ability of the financial effectiveness level of the Ciamis District based on the effectiveness ratio has been effective in realizing the achievement of regional income against the revenue budget that has been prepared/ planned. On the other hand, for the ratio of effectiveness of regional spending, that Ciamis District is still categorized as inefficient in its ability to spend regional finances. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai kemandirian keuangan daerah dalam membiayai  penyelenggaraan otonomi daerah, mengukur efektivitas dan efisiensi dalam merealisasikan pendapatan daerah, mengukur   sejauhmana   aktivitas   pemerintah   daerah   dalam  membelanjakan pendapatan daerahnya, mengukur kontribusi masing-masing sumber pendapatan dalam pembentukan pendapatan daerah, dan melihat pertumbuhan/perkembangan perolehan pendapatan dan pengeluaran yang dilakukan selama periode tertentu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dari anggaran beserta capaian atau realisasi keuangan daerah. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis Rasio Kemandirian Keuangan Daerah (RKKD) serta Analisis Rasio Efektivitas dan Rasio Efisiensi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Kemandirian keuangan Kabupaten Ciamis dari tahun 2013 sampai 2018 tergolong masih rendah dengan menunjukkan pola hubungan instruktif, dimana peranan pemerintah pusat lebih dominan dalam hal bantuan dalam bentuk Dana Alokasi Umum (DAU). (2) Pada pengamatan tahun 2013 sampai dengan tahun 2018 ternyata kemampuan tingkat efektivitas keuangan daerah Kabupaten Ciamis berdasarkan rasio efektivitas sudah efektif dalam merealisasikan capaian pendapatan daerah terhadap anggaran pendapatan yang telah disusun/direncanakannya. Di sisi lain untuk rasio efektivitas belanja daerah, dinyatakan bahwa Kabupaten Ciamis terkategori kurang efisien dalam kemampuan membelanjakan keuangan daerahnya.

Abstract

PD Pasar Resik can ideally make a major contribution to the regional revenue source of the City of Tasikmalaya. Investment Tasikmalaya City Government established and included capital for PD Pasar Resik initially to be able to manage traditional markets in a professional manner, but in its development even faced many problems for regional finance. Not only does it fail to be a source of revenue, it even burdens regional finances. The purpose of the study evaluates the effectiveness of government investment as well as the operational feasibility of PD Pasar Resik in Tasikmalaya City. Using descriptive methods based on collecting time series data through surveys, documentation and literature studies. Investment analysis is conducted using measurements of Earning Power of Total Investment (EpoTI), Rate of Return Investment (ROI), and Rate of Return on Net Worth (RoRoNW) or Rate of Return for the Owners. As a result, investments cannot be effectively managed due to complex problems, and PD Pasar Resik's operations are no longer effective or feasible.Pasar Resik idealnya dapat memberikan kontribusi besar bagi sumber penerimaan daerah Kota Tasikmalaya. Investasi Pemerintah Kota Tasikmalaya mendirikan dan menyertakan modal bagi Perusahaan Daerah (PD) Pasar Resik awalnya agar dapat mengelola pasar-pasar tradisional secara profesional, namun dalam perkembangannya malah menghadapi banyak masalah bagi keuangan daerah. Tidak hanya gagal menjadi sumber penerimaan, bahkan membebani keuangan daerah. Tujuan penelitian mengevaluasi efektivitas investasi pemerintah serta kelayakan operasional PD. Pasar Resik di Kota Tasikmalaya. Menggunakan metode deskriptif berdasarkan pengumpulan data runtun waktu melalui survei, studi dokumentasi dan literatur. Analisis investasi dilakukan mempergunakan pengukuran Earning Power of Total Investment (EpoTI), Rate of Return on Investment (ROI), dan Rate of Return on Net Worth (RoRoNW) atau Rate of Return for the Owners. Hasilnya, investasi tidak dapat dikelola efektif dikarenakan adanya masalah kompleks, serta operasional PD. Pasar Resik sudah tidak efektif dan tidak layak lagi.

Abstract

The imbalance of economic welfare between provinces can be analyzed, among other things, from the variation lag gap between income per capita and inflation. The research was carried out by observing the inequality in the provinces of West Java, Central Java and East Java, with the aim of knowing: the variations in per capita income of the population; variation in inflation; the comparison of the variation gap in inflation and per capita income of the population in those areas. The study used a descriptive analysis method by analyzing the coefficient of variation in per capita income and inflation as parameters. Comparison of the gap between the coefficient of variation in inflation and per capita income is analyzed to observe the existing welfare of the people of the three provinces. The results obtained from the study: (a) The average variation / fluctuation of income per capita of the population of West Java is more varied (fluctuating) than the average compared to the average variation in per capita income of the population of East Java and Central Java: (b) Variation / fluctuation of inflation in East Java is smaller so that it is considered that the average development rate of the expensive level in East Java is relatively lower than that of Central Java and West Java; (c) The average lag gap of inflation and the average per capita income of the population is actually higher than the percentage of per capita income, so that the welfare of the population in West Java, Central Java and East Java is considered to be less empowered and not prosperous.Ketimpangan kesejahteraan penduduk antarprovinsi dapat di antaranya dapat dianalisis dari lag gap variasi antara pendapatan perkapita dengan inflasi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pengamatan ketimpangannya pada Provinsi Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui: variasi pendapatan per kapita Penduduk; Variasi inflasi; dan untuk menganalisis komparasi gap variasi inflasi dan pendapatan perkapita penduduk di Provinsi Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur. Penelitian menggunakan metoda analisis deskriptif dengan menganalisis parameter koefisien variasi pendapatan perkapita serta inflasi. Komparasi gap antara parameter koefisien variasi inflasi dengan pendapatan perkapita, digunakan untuk mengamati eksisting kesejahteraan masyarakat ketiga provinsi tersebut. Dari penelitian diperoleh hasil: (a) Rata-rata variasi/fluktuasi pendapatan perkapita penduduk Jawa Barat lebih bervariasi (fluktuatif) dari rata-ratanya dibandingkan rata-rata variasi pendapatan perkapita penduduk Jawa Timur dan Jawa Tengah: (b) Variasi/fluktuasi  inflasi di Jawa Timur lebih kecil sehingga dianggap rata-rata perkembangan tingkat kemahalan di Jawa Timur relatif lebih rendah dibanding dibanding Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Barat; (c) Lag gap rerata inflasi dan rerata pendapatan perkapita penduduk ternyata persentase inflasinya lebih tinggi dibanding persentase pendapatan perkapita, sehingga dimaknai kesejahteraan penduduk di Provinsi Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur dianggap kurang berdaya dan tidak sejahtera.

Abstract

Speaking is a communication activity that permits people to communicate verbally while using nonverbal cues from their bodies. Many students experience anxiety before speaking in front of a class, especially in English. The writer used five previous studies in this research. The purpose of this study is to identify the strategies and issues that students at Islamic Junior High School in Ciamis use to reduce anxiety when speaking English. This study used Likert scale instruments. This study used a qualitative approach, and for the design, it used a case study with 20 respondents. Meanwhile, the data of this study were analyzed by using descriptive statistics. Therefore, the writer proposes to study the causes of students' anxiety in English speaking and teachers' ways to alleviate anxiety in the classroom in the context of Indonesian TEFL. The study attempts to analyze "Students' Strategies for Reducing Speaking Anxiety in English". The result of this study overall shows that students felt fear in speaking English because of a lack of understanding of vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar, The strategies they used are clustered around preparation, i.e., multiple speaking exercises.

Abstract

This study focuses on the teacher's verbal and nonverbal communication as well as the student's motivation in EFL classes. The goals of this study were to (1) assess the types of verbal and nonverbal communication used by teachers in EFL classrooms and (2) investigate how verbal and nonverbal communication influences students' motivation. The descriptive-qualitative method was utilized in this study. The research subjects were a teacher and 4 students selected from two classes in tenth-grade at MAN 3 Tasikmalaya. Data were gathered through observation (video recording) and interviews. The findings of this study revealed that the verbal type of FIACS and Schmitz has been fulfilled. There are the seven types of teacher verbal communication used in the classroom by the teacher. However, the researcher discovered that the most dominant type of teacher verbal communication is asking question in this study. In addition, the researcher engages in fourth sorts of nonverbal communication. Regarding the teacher's nonverbal communication, the researcher discovered that the most dominant type is kinesics such us body movement and gestures in this study. The findings also revealed that the teacher's verbal and nonverbal communication had a beneficial impact on their motivation to learn English. Positive effects include a sense of caring, a better understanding, a sensation of pleasure or comfort, an eagerness to learn, a sense of being appreciated and respected, as well as a sense of respect.

Abstract

This article figures out the ways of applying Kahoot as a formative evaluation media in students' comprehension of the aspect of writing narrative text in an online class; and investigates the perceptions of the teacher of using Kahoot as a formative evaluation media in students' comprehension of the aspect of writing narrative text in an online class. The study applied a qualitative research design, employing the case study characteristics. The data were attained from some sources, including classroom observation and interviews. Classroom observation was conducted to 11 MIPA and the interview was administered to an English teacher. The findings revealed that implementing Kahoot in the process of evaluation can increase the student's achievement; so that student's comprehension of the narrative text can be improved. The teacher perceives that Kahoot helped carrying out the formative evaluation process in the online classroom because the teacher can easily see the level of students' understanding of aspects of writing narrative text. However, the evaluation process is hampered by unstable internet connections. The finding of this research recommended English teachers to apply technology, in particular, Kahoot, that can make the learning and evaluation process in online classes easier and more fun. Also, Kahoot helps students practicing and increasing their understanding towards the delivered materials.

Abstract

This research investigated the evaluation of an English textbook. This research aimed to analyze the relevance between the revised edition of the 2013 Curriculum English textbook “Modul Pembelajaran SMA Bahasa Inggris” for Senior High School grade XI to the Core Competence concerning cognitive and psychomotor domains. This research employed content analysis under descriptive qualitative as the research design. The data of this research was collected from the English textbook “Modul Pembelajaran SMA Bahasa Inggris” for Senior High School grade XI. The collected data was categorized into tables and elaborated into each core Competence, Learning Indicator, and Learning process. The data was analysed using a conclusion drawn and then it was interpreted. The results of this research indicated that the relevance between learning indicators to the Basic competencies is adequately relevant for the Cognitive Domain and slightly relevant for the Psychomotor Domain. Besides, the relevance between learning activity to the Basic competencies is barely relevant for the Cognitive Domain and barely relevant for the Psychomotor Domain. The findings came up with the fact that the English textbook has more emphasis on the cognitive domain than the psychomotor aspect. Thus, the teacher should cover the rest of those aspects in the process of teaching and learning so that the students can achieve the Basic competencies optimally.

Abstract

Abstract.This research focuses on speech acts as a significant role in teaching and learning process. In line with this topic, the aim of this research is to find out the types of speech act mostly used by teachers’ and students’ English program. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data used were the utterances performed by the teacher and students talk in speaking class. Those speech acts are supported by theories of Searle & Suherdi (1976), who find out the use of speech act. From the theory, there are 5 classifications of illocutionary speech act; representative,directive, expressive, commissive, and declarative. The findings show that the classifications of speech acts mostly used by teacher is directive while representative is mostly used by the students. From the findings, teacher’s directive has some involvement toward students’ behavior during teaching and learning process. Besides, the use of representative by students has enhanced their speaking ability. This study concludes that when teacher and students used the speech acts, it helpsthem comprehend the message in every utterance and easy to understand when communication. Hopefully, this study will help develop good classroom communication between teachers and students.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and determine the feasibility of Al Qur'an recitation learning media in class IX of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Lukmanul Hakim Samarinda. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). At the analysis stage, literature studies and field studies were carried out, then at the design stage, namely making flowcharts and storyboards. Next, make the media according to the design that has been created and then validate it by media experts and material experts. Next, implementation is activities using learning media. The final stage is evaluation by looking at the suitability of the media and making a report. The research results obtained show that the learning media developed is suitable for use as learning media for Al-Qur'an teaching and learning materials, with a material expert validation percentage of 100% and media expert validation of 81.4%. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran tajwid Al Qur’an di kelas IX Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Lukmanul Hakim Samarinda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Pada tahap analisis dilakukan studi literatur dan studi lapangan, kemudian tahap desain yaitu membuat flowchart dan storyboard. Selanjutnya membuat media tersebut sesuai dengan desain yang telah dibuat lalu divalidasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Selanjutnya implementasi yaitu kegiatan menggunakan media pembelajaran. Tahap akhir ialah evaluasi dengan melihat kelayakan media serta membuat laporan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi mengajar belajar Al-Qur’an, dengan perolehan presentase validasi ahli materi sebesar 100% dan validasi ahli media sebesar 81,4%.
