Abstract

Village boundaries are the boundaries of government administration areas between one village and another. Village administrative boundaries become very important along with the advancement of regional development and growth in the region. The purpose of this PKM activity is the availability of village boundary maps in printed form to support village governments in carrying out government functions, planning and policies. Making village maps involves the village and surrounding communities. The results of this village mapping activity can be carried out and completed properly. The results of the evaluation of activities, the resulting map is representative for the needs of village administration. The village government was very happy and stated that this activity was very useful and in the future there will be further activities, with the output targets of hamlet boundary maps, land use and road names.

Abstract

Many high school students perceive chemistry as a difficult subject and find it less relevant to daily life. To increase students' interest in chemistry studies, a Student Creativity Program (PKM) was conducted through the creation of herbal soap made from pineapple peel waste. Pineapple peel (Ananas comosus) was chosen because it contains bioactive compounds such as bromelain, flavonoids, tannins, and vitamin C, which have antibacterial and antioxidant properties. Through a project-based practical method, students from MAN 2 Pontianak were directly involved in the herbal soap-making process. The results of the activity showed an improvement in students' understanding of chemistry concepts and an increased interest in chemistry studies. Additionally, this activity supports environmental sustainability by utilizing organic waste. The implementation of practical learning methods has proven effective in enhancing critical thinking skills and fostering students' creativity in producing environmentally friendly products.

Abstract

Pelapis Island is part of the Karimata Islands which are located in North Kayong Regency, West Kalimantan. The island, which is located west of the Karimata Strait and close to the Karimata Islands Marine Nature Reserve, has tourism potential and abundant natural resources that can be utilized by the local community and the government. The cleanliness of the marine environment needs to be ensured in order to support sustainable economic continuity and support the tourism industry sector. This research aims to determine the density of marine debris using the shoreline survey method to determine the beach cleanliness index according to the clean-coast index (CCI), analysis of waste weight and type of waste was carried out at three stations spread across the coast of the island. The type of waste that dominates is wood with waste weight reaching 68% from the three stations. Plastic types with 21%, metal types with 7%, rubber types with 3% and then glass types with 1%. The beach cleanliness index measured at each research station showed different results. Based on the results of the CCI analysis, station 1 received a score of 35 and was included in the very dirty category, Statsuin 2 received a score of 12.96, which was included in the dirty category, a fairly low score at station 3, namely 4.04, which was included in the clean category. Overall, the results of data collection from three research stations show that Pelalui Island still has the potential to become a beach tourism destination by continuing to increase efforts to maintain cleanliness and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Degradasi kualitas air parit Sungai Jawi, Kota Pontianak, disebabkan limbah dari zona rumah sakit, bengkel dan permukiman. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis parameter fisik (suhu, Total Suspended Solids/TSS, Total Dissolved Solids/TDS, turbidity), kimia (pH, Biochemical Oxygen Demand/BOD, Chemical Oxygen Demand/COD, Dissolved Oxygen/DO) dan logam berat (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, Cd, Pb). Sampel air diambil saat pasang menggunakan water sampler dengan koordinat GPS dan dianalisis logam berat menggunakan Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry. Hasil menunjukkan suhu tertinggi 28,4 °C di zona bengkel, pH terendah 5,91 di zona rumah sakit. TSS dan turbidity berada pada kisaran 13-14 mg/L dan 14-14,5 NTU, TDS di bawah standar mutu yaitu 0,89-0,97 ppm. BOD dan COD melebihi baku mutu dengan nilai BOD 30-31 mg/L dan COD tertinggi 40,32 mg/L di permukiman, mengindikasikan pencemaran organik berat. DO rendah di permukiman yaitu 3,61 mg/L, menunjukkan tekanan oksigen terlarut yang terbatas. Logam berat Fe dan Pb di zona rumah sakit masing-masing 0,3986 mg/L dan 0,0463 mg/L, melebihi batas maksimal baku mutu (Fe 0,3 mg/L, Pb 0,03 mg/L), mengindikasikan risiko pencemaran yang serius. Mn, Zn, Cu, dan Cd masih dalam batas aman.
