Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi kompos sampah kota dan pupuk kandang sapi terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pakcoy (Brassica rapa, L. Chinensis) pada Aluvial, Kabupaten Indramayu. Penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Wiralodra Kabupaten Indramayu sejak bulan Maret sampai Agustus 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Pola Faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama kompos sampah kota dan faktor kedua pupuk kandang sapi dengan masing- masing 4 taraf : 0%, 3,0%, 6,0%, dan 9,0%, diulang dua kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh mandiri antara kompos sampah kota dan pupuk kandang sapi terhadap tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun. Kombinasi terbaik untuk meningkatkan hasil berat layak konsumsi pakcoy adalah dengan pemberian kompos sampah kota 9,0% (S4) dan pupuk kandang sapi 6,0% (K3).

Abstract

Andisol mempunyai sifat fisika tanah yang baik, namun bermasalah dengan retensi P. Pemberian amelioran untuk mengurangi retensi P, diharapkan dapat mempertahankan bahkan meningkatkan parameter fisika tanah tersebut. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui interaksi terak baja dengan bokashi sekam padi terhadap kemantapan agregat dan biomassa tanaman jagung manis pada Andisol Lembang. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Pola Faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama terak baja dan faktor kedua bokashi sekam padi masing- masing 4 taraf : 0%, 2,5%, 5,0%, dan 7,5%, diulang dua kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat interaksi antara terak baja dengan bokashi sekam padi terhadap kemantapan agregat tanah pada jagung manis setelah panen dan biomassa tanaman jagung manis. Kombinasi dosis 5,0% terak baja dan 7,5% bokashi sekam padi memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap kemantapan agregat tanah pada jagung manis setelah panen dan biomassa tanaman jagung manis, kombinasi 2,5% terak baja dan 7,5% bokashi sekam padi memberikan hasil terbaik.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara porositas tanah dan air tersedia terhadap biomassa tanaman jagnung manis dan brokoli setelah diberikan kombinasi terak baja dan bokashi sekam padi pada Andisol Lembang. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Pola Faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama terak baja dan faktor kedua bokashi sekam padi masing- masing 4 taraf : 0%, 2,5%, 5,0%, dan 7,5%, diulang dua kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara porositas tanah dan air tersedia dengan biomassa tanaman jagung manis dan brokoli, namun biomassa kedua tanaman tidak dipengaruhi oleh porositas tanah dan air tersedia tersebut namun dipengaruhi oleh faktor fisika tanah lain, seperti bobot isi dan kemantapan agregat tanah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan bobot isi dan kemantapan agregat tanah Andisol Lembang terhadap biomassa tanaman jagung manis. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Pola Faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama terak baja dan faktor kedua bokashi sekam padi masing-masing 4 taraf, yaitu 0%, 2,5%, 5,0% dan 7,5%, diulang dua kali. Hubungan antara masing-masing perlakuan selanjutnya di analisis menggunakan model regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara bobot isi, kemantapan agregat tanah dengan biomassa tanaman jagung manis, namun biomassa tanaman jagung manis tidak dipengaruhi oleh bobot isi dan kemantapan agregat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon bobot isi, porositas, dan kemantapan agregat tanah pada tanaman cabai merah setelah vegetatif akhir terhadap kombinasi terak baja dengan bokashi sekam padi pada Andisol Lembang. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Pola Faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama terak baja dan faktor kedua bokashi sekam padi masing- masing 4 taraf : 0%, 2,5%, 5,0%, dan 7,5%, diulang dua kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terjadi interaksi antara terak baja dengan bokashi sekam padi terhadap bobot isi dan porositas tanah, namun terak baja dan bokashi sekam padi berpengaruh mandiri terhadap kemantapan agregat tanah pada tanaman cabai merah setelah vegetatif akhir. Penurunan bobot isi dan peningkatan porositas tanah terbesar terjadi pada dosis 7,5% (b3), sedangkan penurunan kemantapan agregat tanah terbesar terjadi pada dosis 5,0% (t2) terak baja (4,38) dan dosis 7,5% (b3) bokashi sekam padi (3,25), namun dengan pemberian masing- masing dosis 2,5% pada terak baja (t1) dan bokashi sekam padi (b1) sudah dapat menurunkan nilai kemantapan agregat tanah

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out relationship between N- Total content and C- Organic soil to the harvest weight of pakcoy after combined with municipal waste compost and cow manure in Alluvial, Indramayu. This study used a randomized block design factorial with two factors. The first factor is municipal waste compost and the second factor is cow manure. Each of them consisted of 4 levels : 0%, 3.0%, 6.0%, and 9.0% with two replication, followed by regression analysis and linear correlation. The results showed that there was a relationship between N- Total content and C- Organic soil with harvest weight of pakcoy. The harvest weight of pakcoy was influenced by N- Total content and C-Organik soil, so that the N- Total and C-Organic soil can increase the harvest weight of pakcoy.

Abstract

Alluvial soil in this study is a vertic endoaquepts paddy soil type, which is an alluvial paddy soil with a wide distribution in the Pantura area, West Java, originating from a long river deposition system with various types of erosion materials. This soil has a high mineral content of easily weathered sand, especially feldspars. The presence of quartz, orthoclase and sanidine minerals indicates the presence of acidic materials. This also causes the content of chemical elements in this alluvial deposit to be low, so it is necessary to add organic materials such as municipal waste compost and cow manure which can improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil. The aim of the study was to determine the response of several physical properties of alluvial soil to a combination of municipal waste compost and cow manure after being planted with pakcoy in Alluvial, Indramayu. The objective of this research was to find out relationship between water content and soil bulk density to the harvest of pakcoy after combined with municipal waste compost and cow manure in Alluvial, Indramayu. This study used a randomized block design factorial with two factors. The first factor is municipal waste compost and the second factor is cow manure. Each of them consisted of 4 levels : 0%, 3.0%, 6.0%, and 9.0% with two replication. The results showed that there was no interaction between municipal waste compost with cow manure and municipal waste compost with cow manure had no significant effect on soil water content of pakcoy plants after harvest. Meanwhile, cow manure has an independent effect on soil bulk density in pakcoy plants after harvest. The largest decrease in soil density occurred at a dose of 9.0% (k4), but the addition of cow manure at a dose of 3.0% (k2) was able to reduce the soil bulk density. This K2 treatment was not significantly different from the other treatments. A decrease in soil density to 1.15 g cm-3 (k2) is considered ideal for mineral soils, because in general the bulk density of mineral soils is between 1.1 – 1.6 g cm-3.

Abstract

The decline in rice yields is a problem that is often experienced by farmers. The problem had experienced by the Mukti Tani III Farmer Group in Kersamenak Village, Tarogong Kidul District, Garut Regency was decrease rice production due to decreased soil quality and excessive use of fertilizers that are not adapted to plant needs. The aim of this activity was introduced and increased farmers' understood of how to determined soil fertility in the field and identified the results of soil analysis in the laboratory in determining soil quality, how to apply soil fertility determination methods in the field, and soil identifiers in the category of healthy, moderate or dificiency. So that the need for fertilizer could be determined according to the needs of the plant. The methods used are counseling, discussion, and evaluation. Activities are carried out in several stages. The first stage was coordinating and socializing with the Kersamenak Village government and conducting Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activities and filling out the pre test. The second stage is discussion (question and answer), and the third stage is evaluation through filling out the post test. The results of the evaluation showed that the technique for determining soil fertility in the field and the results of soil analysis in the laboratory became a solution for the Mukti Tani III Farmers Group in regulating the application of fertilizer so that it does not add too much fertilizer to the soil, so that rice plant growth is more optimal. From the results of the pre-test and post-test questionnaires, there was an average increase in general knowledge about how to determine soil fertility by 21.72%. Knowledge of how to determine soil fertility in the field increased 39.13% and knowledge of how to determine soil fertility in the laboratory increased 26.09%. This shows that the extension activities that have been carried out have had a positive impact in increasing farmer knowledge about how to determine soil fertility in the field and identification the results of analysis in the laboratory to improve soil quality. Keywords: soil fertility, productivity, physical properties, chemical properties of soil Abstrak Penurunan produksi padi merupakan masalah yang sering dihadapi petani. Permasalahan kelompok tani Mukti Tani III di Desa Kersamenak, Kecamatan Tarogong Kidul adalah penurunan hasil padi akibat kualitas tanah serta penggunaan pupuk berlebihan yang tidak disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan tanaman. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengenalkan dan meningkatkan pemahaman petani tentang cara menentukan kesuburan tanah di lapangan dan mengidentifikasi hasil analisis tanah di laboratorium untuk menentukan kualitas tanah. Metode yang dilakukan adalah penyuluhan dengan ceramah, Focus Group Discussion FGD, dan evaluasi dengan metode tes, yaitu membandingkan hasil pre-test dan post-test. Kegiatan tahap pertama, melakukan koordinasi dan sosialisasi dengan pemerintah Desa Kersamenak, melakukan FGD, dan pengisian kuesioner awal. Tahap kedua adalah diskusi, dan tahap ketiga evaluasi melalui pengisian kuesioner akhir. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peserta memahami cara menentukan kesuburan tanah di lapangan dan cara mengidentifikasi hasil analisis tanah di laboratorium. Pemahaman peserta tentang cara menentukan kesuburan tanah secara langsung dan tidak langsung meningkat, dengan nilai post test untuk pengetahuan umum meningkat sebesar 21,72%. Pengetahuan tentang cara menentukan kesuburan tanah di lapangan meningkat 39,13%, dan pengetahuan  tentang  cara menentukan kesuburan tanah di laboratorium meningkat 26,09%. Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the effect of municipal solid waste compost and cow manure on plant height, leaf length, and harvest weight of pakcoy (Brasica rapa) in Andisols in Indramayu Regency. This study used a randomized block design factorial with two factors. The first factor is municipal waste compost and the second factor is cow manure. Each of them consisted of 4 levels : 0%, 3.0%, 6.0%, and 9.0% with two replication. The results showed that there was an interaction between municipal solid waste compost and cow manure on the plant heights of pakcoy 14, 21, and 28 HST, but there was no interaction at 7 HST. The statistical results show that the combination of municipal solid waste compost with cow manure has an effect on the height of pakcoy 14, 21, and 28 HST, but the height of pakcoy 7 HST is influenced by the independent influence of cow manure. There was an interaction between municipal solid waste compost and cow manure on the leaf length of pakcoy 7, 14, 21, and 28 HST, and there was an interaction between municipal waste compost and cow manure on the harvest weight of pakcoy. The application of organic matter, both municipal solid waste compost and cow manure to the soil can increase plant height, leaf length, and harvest weight of pakcoy.

Abstract

Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a new type of disease that has never been identified in humans. This disease infects the respiratory tract and is usually transmitted through close physical contact and respiratory droplets. This community service activity aims to increase knowledge and insight among participants regarding the importance of maintaining and following health regulations to minimize and stop the spread of COVID-19 and realize changes in healthy behavior during the pandemic. The methods used are counseling, simulation, and evaluation methods. Before carrying out this activity, socialization was carried out first by visiting the Pakutandang Village office, meeting and discussing with the Pakutandang Village Head regarding the needs that could be provided to minimize and stop the spread of COVID-19, and asking for permission to carry out community service activities. The results of the service show that the service activities went smoothly. Participants participate actively and collaboratively in discussion and question-and-answer activities. This service activity increases and broadens the knowledge and perspectives of the participants, including lecturers at Bale Bandung University, village heads, and government officials from the Pakutandang Village Office, students at the Faculty of Agriculture, Bale Bandung University, residents of Pakutandang Village and the COVID-19 task force in Ciparay District. Thus, the participants understood the importance of following health regulations and continuous spraying of disinfectants in the school and home environment around Pakutandang Village in implementing healthy behavior changes during the pandemic. The activity results will enable the implementation of good habits in complying with health protocols in the school and home environment, especially in Pakutandang Village, Ciparay District.
