Abstract

There are still high cases of ARI in children under five, ARI is one of the 10 most common diseases in the first place in health services at the health centre. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of ARI in children under five at the Pegayut Health Centre, Ogan Ilir Regency in 2024.  Quantitative analytical survey research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique, using the slovin formula. The research sample totalled 80 respondents. Inclusion criteria are parents of children under five who visit for treatment at the Puskesmas, while the exclusion criteria are parents of children under five who are not willing to be respondents. This study was conducted on 01-28 February 2024 Data collection techniques by interview using questionnaire r. Bivariate data analysis using chi-Square test and multivariate logistic regression. The results showed that there was a relationship between occupation (p value 0.005), smoking behaviour (p value 0.017), the use of mosquito repellent (p value 0.04), the use of stove cooking utensils (p value 0.005) and the distance between the house and the highway (p value 0.02) to the incidence of ARI in children under five at the Pegayut Health Centre, Ogan Ilir Regency in 2024.  The most dominant factor with the incidence of ARI in children under five at the Pegayut Health Centre, Ogan Ilir Regency in 2024 is smoking behaviour in the house (p value 0.016), (OR 0.140). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between employment, smoking behaviour, the use of mosquito repellents, the use of stove cooking utensils and the distance of the house from the highway to the incidence of ARI in children under five at the Pegayut Health Centre. Suggestions for the Puskesmas provide education related to smoking behaviour in the community, with existing programs and activities at the Puskesmas.

Abstract

There is still a high number of cases and there is an increase from year to year in cases of hypertension in the work area of the Community Health Center and there is a risk of uncontrolled blood pressure, causing complications in hypertensive patients. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of hypertension at the Martapura Health Center, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency in 2024. The design of this research is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study were people seeking treatment in Martapura in 2024. The sample in this study was 98 people. The sampling method uses purposive sampling. This research was carried out on February 22-March 15 2024. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Bivariate data analysis used the Chi-Square test and multivariate logistic regression. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between age (p value 0.00), body mass index (p value 0.005), physical activity (p value 0.000), consumption of fatty foods (p value 0.011), and family history (p value 0.029) with the incidence of hypertension at the Martapura Health Center, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency in 2024. The most dominant factor in the incidence of hypertension at the Martapura Health Center, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency in 2024 is age (p value 0.000), (OR 0.062). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between age, body mass index, physical activity, consumption of fatty foods and family history with the incidence of hypertension at the Martapura Health Center, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency in 2024. Suggestions for the Martapura Health Center can improve the PTM program, especially hypertension in the elderly, as well as provide education in the community to carry out routine control of hypertension status.

Abstract

The implementation of the Posbindu PTM programme encounters many obstacles such as insufficient facilities and infrastructure, lack of training and limited human resources, This study aims to determine the factors associated with the performance of Posbindu PTM cadres at the Martapura Health Centre. This research is quantitative with a crossectional approach.  The population of this study were cadres Posbindu PTM in Martapura Year 2024. The sample in this study amounted to 60 people. The sampling method uses total sampling. This research was conducted on 22 February - 15 March 2024. Data collection techniques by interview using a questionnaire. Bivariate data analysis using Chi-Square test and multivariate using logistic regression test. The results showed that there was a relationship between motivation (p value 0.006) and training (p value 0.00) on the performance of NCD posbindu cadres at Puskesmas Martapura, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency in 2024. There is no relationship between age (p value 0.59), attitude (p value 0.21) and supervision (p value 0.46) to the performance of NCD posbindu cadres at Puskesmas Martapura, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency in 2024. The most dominant factor with the performance of cadres posbindu NCD at Puskesmas Martapura East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency Year 2024 is motivation (p value 0.004) (Odds Ratio 0.179). Conclusion there is a relationship between motivation and training on the performance of cadres posbindu NCD at Puskesmas Martapura East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency Year 2024. Suggestions for Puskesmas should provide motivation to cadres posbindu PTM, such as giving appreciation or reward to cadres who excel.

Abstract

Male surgical method contraception is the closure of the sperm ducts to prevent pregnancy and is included in the long-term contraceptive method. The purpose of this study was to find out the description and information about the use of contraceptive methods of male surgery. The research design used quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative method involves analytical observational research with a cross-sectional design. The study sample amounted to 100 respondents with stratified random sampling technique. Qualitative methods in analyzing by collecting data, presenting data, reducing data and verifying data. Qualitative samples involved 8 informants. The results showed no relationship between age (p-value 0.098), number of children (p-value 0.622), occupation (p-value 0.484), knowledge (p-value 0.883), family support (p-value 0.447, the role of contraceptive extension workers (p-value 0.358), and the availability of health resources (p-value 0.791) with the use of male surgical methods. The results of the qualitative study showed a lack of knowledge and socialization as the main factors in the use of male surgical method contraception has not reached the target. The researcher concluded that there was no relationship between age, number of children, occupation, knowledge, family support, the role of contraceptive field extension workers and the availability of health resources with the use of male surgical method contraception. There needs to be education to increase the use of male surgical method contraception and there is an active effort from officers in providing information to couples of childbearing age, especially those who do not want to have more children, as well as education to wives to support their husbands to use male surgical method contraception.
