Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of Village Regulation No. 4 of 2019 concerning Traditional Money in Koto Dua Baru Village, Air Hangat Barat District, Kerinci Regency. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of village regulations regarding customary money has not been carried out optimally because there are regulatory violations committed by the community and there are obstacles in the implementation of Village Regulation No. 4 of 2019 concerning Customary Money in Koto Dua Baru Village, Air Hangat Barat District, Kerinci Regency.

Abstract

The election of regional heads is one part of the democratic mechanism and is the main gate in building leadership in the regions. The community of Rt 11 Tungkal II Village, Tungkal Ilir District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency has successfully carried out the simultaneous elections on December 9, 2020, there are 2 perceptions put forward by the community, namely positive perceptions and negative perceptions. The negative perception conveyed was that the simultaneous regional elections in 2020 were like a political conspiracy where if other people did not use their voting rights or abstentions would be misused or fraud would occur, and the campaign delivered during this pandemic was indirect so that many people did not know the vision and mission. candidates, and there are some people who vote forcibly because of political money or dawn attacks. This research uses qualitative research methods. This study aims to determine the perception of the people of Rt 11 Tungkal II Village, Tungkal Ilir District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency in the simultaneous regional head election in 2020, in this study the public perception expressed is different, some have a positive perception and some have a negative perception. The perception conveyed by the informant is in accordance with the experience or circumstances obtained. From these different perceptions, different opinions emerge from each informant, the positive perception conveyed by the community is more directed towards the candidate pair of candidates such as the vision-mission, work program and personality of the candidate, while the negative perception conveyed by the public is more of an attack on dawn or political money and campaign rules in the 2020 simultaneous elections. Abstract

The service activity is motivated by the fact that the political participation of the younger generation is still lacking and this needs to be remembered considering the very large number of segments in the 2024 election. This activity aims to provide insight into political education to the younger generation to increase awareness and increase the political participation of the younger generation and so that it is not easy influencing hoax news that developed in the year leading up to the election. Activities were carried out in the form of offline and dare public lectures via YouTube and Zoommeeting on September 18 2023. Activities were carried out in two stages, namely planning and implementation. Activities can broaden students' insight as young millennials and new voters regarding politics are increasing, thus increasing their awareness in politics. Public lectures also strengthen the political understanding of the younger generation so that they are not easily influenced by hoax news related to certain issues by first checking information about the issue. Through this activity, it is hoped that it can increase the political understanding and awareness of the younger generation. Kegiatan pengabdian dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa partisipasi politik generasi muda masih kurang dan perlu ditingkatkan mengingat jumlah segmentasi ini yang sangat besar pada pemilu 2024. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan pendidikan politik kepada generasi muda untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan meningkatkan partisipasi politik generasi muda serta agar tidak mudah terpengaruh berita hoaks yang berkembang pada tahun menjelang pemilu. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk kuliah umum secara luring dan daring melalui Youtube dan Zoommeeting pada 18 September 2023. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan dua tahap yakni perencanaan dan pelaksanaan. Kegiatan dapat menambah wawasan mahasiswa sebagai generasi muda milenial dan pemilih pemula terkait politik bertambah sehingga meningkatkan kesadaran mereka dalam berpolitik. Kuliah umum juga memperkuat pemahaman politik generasi muda agar tidak mudah terpengaruh berita hoaks terkait isu-isu tertentu dengan terlebih dahulu melakukan pengecekkan informasi tentang isu tersebut. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran politik generasi muda.

Abstract

Analysis Of Low Student Participation In Osis Management As Civic Disposition Development In Sma Negeri 7 Kota Jambi Abstract: The background of this research is based on the problems that occured in SMA Negeri 7 in Jambi City related to the low participation of students in the management of Student Council, as one of the civic disposition developments in schools. The formulation of the problem in this research are: (1) how is student participation in Student Council management as a civic disposition, (2) what is the factor in the low participation of students in Student Council management at SMA Negeri 7 in Jambi City. The purpose of this study was to find out how student participation in OSIS management is a form of civic disposition development in the school environment and to find out what are the factors causing the low student participation in OSIS management at SMA N 7 Jambi City. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method. In this study, there were core informants and student informants who did not participate in the student council management. The main sources of data were an interview and documentation. The data was analyzed by using the data analysis technique of source triangulation. The findings showed that student participation in Student Council management at SMA Negeri 7 in Jambi City has decreased from previous years. The student council management is dominated by phase or class X students, the low participation of students is in the Social Sciences major. The factors that cause the low participation of students in the management of the Student Council, namely the low interest of students to participate in being the board of the Student Council because students feel they cannot be responsible for carrying out their duties as administrators of the Student Council, inadequate budget funds so that many activities in schools cannot be realized this is a factor causing the low interest of students in the Student Council organization, socialization that has not been maximized by coaches, teachers and old administrators about how the impact is obtained when becoming a member in an organization, and inappropriate recruitment of members by still using a system of appointments based on recommendations by teachers and related parties based on external character factors only. Abstract

Based on the results of initial observations made by researchers at SMP N 47 Muaro Jambi, it showed problems related to the independence of students. The problem referred to in this research is the problem of independence that comes from the factors of parenting applied by parents and also the learning of democratic education that is received in the school environment. The purposes of this study was to determine the relationship of democratic parenting of parents and democratic education in schools to student independence. The data collection quantitative method used in this study is a quantitative method using a questionnaire. The analytical technique used is the analysis prerequisite test technique, namely normality and reability along with statistical hypothesis testing, namely statistical t test and F statistic test. The results of the research in this study are that individually both parenting democratic parents and democratic education in schools have a positive and significant relationship with the independence of students garde VII SMP N 47 Muaro Jambi. Then, together democratic education in schoos has a positive and significant relationship with student independence with a significance value of 0,0620 or in the strong category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis kesadaran hukum masyarakat di Kecamatan Rantau Rasau, Tanjung Jabung Timur, terkait Permendagri Nomor 2 Tahun 2016 tentang Kartu Identitas Anak (KIA). Tingkat kesadaran ditemukan sangat rendah, mendorong investigasi terhadap faktor-faktor penyebab dan tingkat kesadaran itu sendiri. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Novelty penelitian ini terletak pada identifikasi dua akar permasalahan: minimnya pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap regulasi KIA dan inefektivitas sosialisasi kebijakan oleh aparat desa. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah daerah belum berhasil menyampaikan esensi pentingnya KIA sebagai identitas resmi anak di bawah 17 tahun. Mayoritas masyarakat tidak menyadari adanya fasilitas identitas ini dari pemerintah. Studi ini menyoroti urgensi peningkatan sosialisasi dan pemahaman agar program KIA dapat berjalan efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pelaksanaan wewenang Kepala Desa di Desa Kuning Gading, Kecamatan Pelepat Ilir, Kabupaten Bungo, berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2014. Fokus utama adalah pada penetapan peraturan desa dan koordinasi pembangunan desa secara partisipatif. Meskipun Kepala Desa memiliki peran krusial dalam pembangunan lokal, observasi awal dan hasil kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa kedua wewenang tersebut belum terlaksana optimal; misalnya, 37% masyarakat menilai penyelenggaraan pemerintahan desa kurang. Melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik snowball sampling untuk masyarakat dan purposive sampling untuk perangkat desa, serta pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, penelitian ini menemukan adanya kesenjangan antara teori dan praktik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi masyarakat dalam penetapan peraturan desa masih minim, dan koordinasi pembangunan desa secara partisipatif belum efektif, terlihat dari proyek pembangunan yang terhenti atau tidak merata. Triangulasi data digunakan untuk memverifikasi temuan. Novelty penelitian ini terletak pada identifikasi kesenjangan persepsi antara pemerintah desa dan masyarakat mengenai implementasi wewenang, serta dampaknya terhadap tata kelola dan pembangunan desa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran probing prompting berbantuan media question card terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran PPKn kelas XI SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi. Menggunakan desain control group pretest-posttest, penelitian membandingkan hasil antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen mendapatkan pembelajaran berbasis probing prompting dengan bantuan question card, sedangkan kelompok kontrol diajar dengan metode ceramah konvensional. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kelompok eksperimen, dengan nilai rata-rata 71,67, simpangan baku 11,02, dan varians 121,51. Sementara kelompok kontrol memperoleh rata-rata 63,38, simpangan baku 12,7, dan varians 161,04. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan thitung > ttabel (12,37 > 2,02), yang menandakan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran probing prompting berbantuan question card terbukti efektif dan direkomendasikan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran PPKn.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the form of political participation of migrant students from Gunung Raya District in the 2024 Kerinci Regency Regional Head Election (Pilkada). Students as young voters have a strategic role in democracy. The background of this study is the low level of attendance and active political participation of migrant students in the Pilkada, even though they are a potential young voter group. This study uses a qualitative descriptive case study approach with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that the forms of student political participation include: voting, many cannot attend the Polling Station which is hampered by costs and distance, including potential contributors to abstaining from voting in Gunung Raya District. Campaign activities are carried out more online than in person. Communal activities with minimal involvement; political communication is limited to personal circles. and low participation in Protest actions due to concerns and lack of understanding of issues. Students have great potential to be involved in politics, but their participation is still limited to certain forms.
