Abstract

Purpose: This community service activity is carried out with the main objective of identifying the potential for developing tourism products in Santong Tourism Village which originates from the economic, social and cultural potential of the community in the context of developing quality and competitive tourism products in Santong Tourism Village. Method: The community service employs (1) field survey to identify current conditions and the need for intervention in the development of tourist village with data collection techniques ranging from direct observation, in-depth interview, to documentation, and (2) workshop which includes short lectures, guided group discussions, demonstrations, and simulations. The data obtained are all primary data obtained directly from Pokdarwis, other tourism actors, as well as Santong’s local community. Result: The 2 (two) main outputs of this community service activity are (1) tour package and culinary product prototypes that integrate various natural potentials and local community wisdom, as well as (2) needs identification for homestay development in Santong Tourism Village. Contribution: Providing new insights and skills to the local community in developing integrated and quality tourism products that can provide broader economic impact the people of Santong Tourism Village.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is the development of a tour package reservation system, especially Camping Ground in Mount Jae natural attractions in making Camping Ground tour package reservations. West Nusa Tenggara. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods, namely flexibility in collecting data and deep understanding, with the process of collecting data through observation, interviews, documentation. Primary data was obtained by semi-structured interviews obtained from several informants, namely Bumdes, Pokdarwis and Potential Tourists to find out the development of the Camping Ground tour package reservation system. Skunder data is obtained from various sources such as previous articles related to problems and documentation from photos and tour package flyers. So that the results of this study discuss the theme of the reservation system both customer service excellence, booking, and comfirm. With development through several online and offline media including twitter, instagram, facebook, linkedln, website, whatsapp, gmail, youtube, online travel agent (OTA) and travel agent partners. This research is very important to know and be a reference related to the development of the Camping Ground tour package reservation system in the natural attractions of Mount Jae West Lombok

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the driving and pulling factors that influence tourists' decisions in choosing lantan tourism villages as tourist destinations. The research used a qualitative approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study were obtained six factors that attract tourists to visit Lantan Tourism Village, namely, its natural beauty, enchanting waterfalls, adequate access, supporting facilities such as toilets, prayer rooms, trash cans and gazebos are available, there are products sold such as cascara tea, handicrafts from plastic waste, banana chips, taro chips and tourists can do activities other than enjoying the scenery such as cycling, soft tracking and participating in farming and gardening community activities. The strategies obtained are promotion, information, hospitality and service and cooperation with stakeholders

Abstract

This research aims to explore the perceptions and challenges in the development of local tour guide performance through training in Ende Tourism Village, Central Lombok. This case study provides an overview of the success of West Nusa Tenggara Province in managing tourism as a cultural heritage beneficial to the community. Ende Village, with its cultural richness and natural beauty, holds significant tourism potential. However, local tour guides in Ende still face complex challenges, particularly in enhancing foreign language skills after initial training. Despite this, significant opportunities arise with the frequency of visits by foreign tourists, yet the threat of increasing competition underscores the need for innovative and proactive marketing strategies. Therefore, this study proposes to delve into the perceptions of local tour guides regarding the training they receive and identify key obstacles to be addressed, focusing on SWOT analysis to understand strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the development of local tourism in Ende Village

Abstract

This study aims to determine the communication techniques used by local tour guides in the Bilebante Green Tourism Village in the process of interpretation or storytelling to tourists. The method used is a qualitative method by conducting observations, interviews and documentation to several local tour guides in the Bilebante Green Tourism Village. The results of this study are that some tour guides communicate according to standards by self-taught and some have applied Onong Uchjana Effendy's communication techniques which include informative, persuasive, interaction / coercive and human relations communication techniques. Which in doing a communication is also very related to the elements of communication techniques, from Harold Laswell including; who (who / source), says what (what / message), in which channel (media), to whom (who / recipient), with what effect (impact / effect). Abstract

This research aims to illustrate the development of ecotourism packages in Bale Mangrove, East Lombok. This research is classified as descriptive qualitative research using data collection techniques such as observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this study are qualitative data analysis, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and inference drawing. The conclusion is taken from the source, namely the Bale Mangrove tourism manager. The results of this research show that the provision of adequate facilities and infrastructure, the potential of various tourist attractions, detailed pricing of tourist attractions, and the clear target market support the development of mangrove ecotourism packages in Bale Mangrove through stages in accordance with the theory used by the researchers. Bale Mangrove is located in Poton Bako Hamlet, Jerowaru Village, East Lombok, and has various potential tourist attractions, stages of tourism package development, target market, and mangrove ecotourism package development for the use of managers.

Abstract

This study examines the motivations and challenges faced by tourists in the special interest trekking tourism on Mount Rinjani. Through tourist interviews, it was found that their primary motivations include natural beauty, physical challenge, relaxation, and opportunities for socializing. Tourists are attracted by stunning views such as sunrise and sunset, as well as unique flora and fauna present in Rinjani. However, they face various challenges, including extreme weather, physical and mental preparedness, lack of basic facilities such as toilets and water sources, and limited information and guidance for trekking. To enhance the trekking experience on Mount Rinjani, it is recommended that managers improve and add basic facilities, provide more comprehensive information, and better train local guides. Additionally, better environmental management is necessary, including more effective waste management efforts and limiting the number of daily trekkers. With these measures, it is hoped that Mount Rinjani can become a more comfortable, safe, and sustainable trekking destination, while remaining attractive to tourists from various backgrounds
