Abstract

To foster resilient and morally upright Indonesian youth, character education grounded in both national and local values is fundamental. Effectively embedding these values into school curricula, extracurricular programs, and special projects is a critical undertaking. Therefore, rigorous research into this comprehensive approach is indispensable to validate its impact. This particular study focused on developing a tailored character education model for West Kalimantan, Indonesia. Key findings indicate successful strategies for values integration, showcase various innovative teaching methodologies, and confirm the indispensable role of teachers in this process. Moreover, the study highlights the substantial positive influence of extracurricular activities in nurturing desirable character traits among students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and explain the understanding, feelings and actions of border area communities regarding the local wisdom values of Antar Pakatan in Simpang Empat Village, Sambas Regency. This research method uses naturalistic qualitative research methods. Data techniques and analysis use observation and interviews. The results of the research show that the attitude of border communities towards the value of local wisdom in Simpang Empat Village, Sambas Regency can be categorized as a high spirit of mutual cooperation and solidarity. The attitude of the Sambas community in maintaining local wisdom shows their awareness of the importance of preserving cultural heritage and traditional knowledge which has become an integral part of their identity.

Abstract

ABSTRACTKubu Raya is a regency located on the outskirts of Pontianak City, West Kalimantan. geographically, the people of Kubu Raya Regency have diverse cultures, customs, tribes and religions. With this diversity, challenges and obstacles may arise in the simultaneous regional elections because of a lack of understanding of the regional election process and different choices of candidates, causing conflict between communities in 2024. In addition, social media and technology can accelerate the spread of intolerant and hateful news for specific individuals or groups. Community Service aims to provide socialization to students as new voters are believed to be the spearheads of the success of the simultaneous regional elections. It used several methods, including interactive discussion activities with participants and displaying photos of the regional election candidates at the Governor and the district head level in 2024. It concluded that participants did not know the candidate pairs' names in the regional elections' photos at the gubernatorial and district levels. After socialization, the participants obtained information and knowledge about the names of the candidate pairs, their rights and responsibilities as citizens in the regional election process and the participants as new voters committing to participate in the regional elections. They declared they would not abstain from voting.Keywords: Strengthening Political Education, New Voters, Quality and MeaningfulABSTRAKKabupaten Kubu Raya adalah kota yang secara geografis sebagai kabupaten yang berada dipinggiran Kota Pontianak Kalimantan Barat. Sehingga secara geografis masyarakat Kabupaten Kubu Raya memiliki keberagaman budaya, adat, suku serta agama. Dengan keberagaman tersebut memungkinkan saja muncul tantangan dan kendala ke depan pada Pilkada serentak 2024, berupa ketidakpahaman terhadap pendidikan politik dan perbedaan pilihan paslon dapar menimbulkan konflik antar masyaraka, selain itu media sosial dan teknologi juga dapat mempercepat tersebasrnya berita yang bersifat intoleran yang menyebarkan berita kebencian terhadap individu maupun kelompok tertentu. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat yakni pemilih pemula sebagai pelajar yang diyakini sebagai ujuk tombak kesuksesan pelaksanaan Pilkada serentak 2024. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini menggunakan beberapa metode, di antaranya kegiatan diskusi interaktif dengan membuka ruang tanya jawab dengan peserta, menampilkan foto maupun gambar paslon pilkada tingkat Gubernur maupun tingkat kepala daerah kabupaten. Kegiatan pengabdian menghasilkan simpulan yakni, bahwa peserta pengabdian tidak mengenal nama paslon foto maupun gambar pilkada baik itu tingkat gubernur dan tingkat kabupaten, setelah dilakukannya sosialiasi peserta memperoleh informasi dan pengetahuan tentang nama paslon, hak dan tanggung jawab sebagai warga negara dalam proses pilkada, dan peserta sebagai pemilih pemula berkomitmen untuk memberikan hal pilih suaranya di pilkada 2024 dan menyatakan diri tidak golput.Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Politik; Bermakna dan Berkualitas;  Pemilih Pemula

Abstract

Muhammad Basiuni Imran's educational concept is an educational concept that cannot be separated from the humanist process. The process is to become human, to reach the level of humanity through character building. History lessons have the potential to convey moral messages that can help shape student character. This study discusses the importance of the pedagogical concept of Muhammad Basiuni Imran for personality development in history lessons. This research uses qualitative methods and literature searches to explore various sources related to this research. This study aims to find the pedagogical concept of Muhammad Basiuni Imran with personality development in history lessons. The substantive content of the story includes various moral values that can be adopted and instilled in students, so that the process is a process of humanizing the younger generation and the process of forming character, achieving human dignity. Keywords: Education Concept, Muhammad Basiuni Imran, Character Education, Historical Education. Â
