Abstract

Education teaches the understanding of teaching materials and shapes attitudes and the media to preserve the local culture. The cultivation of local wisdom is necessary because students can better understand and love the culture they have. Education teaches the understanding of teaching materials and shapes attitudes and the media to preserve the local culture. The cultivation of local wisdom is necessary because students can better understand and love the culture they have. This research employs a qualitative method with a narrative approach. Informants in this research are history teachers and students of SMA Negeri 1 Pamotan. The techniques for collecting data are observation, interview, and documentation. To test data validity, this research uses data technique triangulation and source triangulation. The data analysis technique is interaction analysis, which consists of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that 1) regarding the cultivation of local wisdom values through historical learning, the teachers only develop their knowledge related to local culture. Local wisdom is given more attention in school activities. 2) The implementation of the values of local wisdom is running well. The values of local wisdom include ethics, aesthetics, religion, and society.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were: 1. to find out how the teacher uses existing history learning sources in class XI IPS, 2. To find out how the Monument Perjuangan 45 Limbangan can be used as a learning source of history of the students of XI IPS, 3. To find out the understanding of XI IPS students using Monument The Struggle of 45 Limbangan as a source of learning in SMA Negeri 1 Limbangan Kendal. This research was a qualitative study case. The source of the data of this study was SMA Negeri 1 Limbangan. The subjects of this study were class XI IPS students at SMA 1 Limbangan and the historical relic of Monuments, The Struggle of 45 Limbangan. The target/focus of this study was the learning resources. Observation, interviews, and documentation carried out data collection techniques. The history teacher of SMA Negeri 1 Limbangan utilized learning sources from the surrounding environment as the learning sources companion, besides books, modules, and internet sources, by linking relics with the learning material and using Monuments Perjuangan 45 Limbangan as the learning source by linking it with the relevant learning material. Teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Limbangan can use Monument Perjuangan 45 Limbangan to increase students' understanding because students can see their learning resources directly.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the needs of teachers and students in learning local history at SMAN 1 Lasem, knowing the development of regional history teaching materials, and understanding the effectiveness of the teaching materials developed. The method used in this study was the research and development method with the pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation techniques, interviews, questionnaires, document studies, and tests. The results showed that the development of teaching materials in the form of booklets on the local history of the War of Lasem was tailored to the needs of teachers and students and relevant sources. The feasibility of booklet teaching material was seen from the results of validation by material experts in stage I (82.04%) and stage II (84.49%) and media experts in stage I (75.56%) and stage II (78.75%) and teacher responses (87.5%) and students (88%) so that it can be concluded that the booklet-shaped teaching material is suitable for use in learning local history in SMAN 1 Lasem. Using teaching materials in the form of booklets can improve student learning outcomes. The experimental class student learning outcomes (84.6538) were better than the control (78.3571). Therefore, it can be concluded that the teaching materials in booklets are effective for teaching materials used in learning local history in SMAN 1 Lasem.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) Understand the history learning process. (2) Knowing students' nationalistic attitudes. (3) Knowing the influence of history learning on the nationalistic attitudes of class XI IPS students at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar. This research method is quantitative regression with an ex post facto design. The data source for this research is class XI IPS students at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar. The data for this research are from class XI IPS students. The research target is the history learning process and students' nationalist attitudes. Data collection techniques use questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique uses descriptive percentage analysis with Ms. Excel 2010 and statistical analysis using the SPSS 16 application. The results of this research are: (1) Based on descriptive analysis using Ms. Excel 2010, class XI IPS history learning is in a good category with an average of 71.78. (2) Based on descriptive analysis using Ms. Excel 2010, the nationalism attitude of the class was high with an average of 89.2. So the nationalism attitude of class XI IPS students is in the very high category with an average of 87.22. (3) There is an influence of history learning on students' nationalistic attitudes of 0.150 (15%) and the remaining 85% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran penting budaya maritim Indonesia dari masa kerajaan sampai konteks masa kini sebagai benteng pertahanan identitas nasional di era globalisasi. Kejayaan maritim Nusantara masa lampau bisa menjadi gambaran dalam pengembangan Identitas nasional di era globalisasi yang memberikan tantangan melalui perubahan preferensi masyarakat dalam mengatasi penurunan minat terhadap budaya maritim. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu membuka wawasan tentang Budaya Maritim Nusantara masa lampau dan penerapannya di masa kini sebagai bentuk pertahanan identitas nasional. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, data diperoleh melalui studi literatur seperti kajian artikel jurnal terdahulu yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa merawat identitas nasional di tengah era globalisasi sudah seharusnya dilakukan oleh masyarakat Indonesia, supaya jati diri kita sebagai bangsa dan negara Indonesia tidak memudar bahkan hilang oleh arus globalisasi yang sangat pesat, salah satunya dengan adanya wawasan mengenai budaya maritim. Sejak masa kerajaan Nusantara telah menjadi pusat pelayaran dan perdagangan yang penting. Kerajaan-kerajaan maritim seperti Sriwijaya, Majapahit dan Demak memainkan peran dominan dalam perdagangan internasional dan penguasaan wilayah perairan. Setelah kemerdekaan, pemerintah Indonesia berupaya membangun kembali kejayaan maritim melalui berbagai kebijakan baik oleh pemerintahan, dalam dunia pendidikan formal dan non formal, termasuk dengan adanya Deklarasi Djuanda.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the fading of students' politeness when interacting and communicating both to lecturers and parents as well as the community is a challenge for academics to improve it. Character education is very important for student functionaries as an example for other students. This research method uses a literature review that will review sources or works published in journals, books or papers. The results of the research are that in order for students to have noble morals, character education must be applied in universities. All lecturers as educators are responsible for fostering the morality and character of students. Students tend to imitate the attitudes and actions of teachers, so they make lecturers as role models, so they should provide a good example for students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis peran ganda perempuan sebagai ibu rumah tangga dan pengukir mebel dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas hidup di Desa Petekeyan, Jepara. Fase booming mebel Jepara yang terjadi pada masa krisis moneter tahun 1998, membuka peluang besar bagi kaum perempuan Jepara, khususnya di Desa Petekeyan, untuk terlibat bekerja di industri mebel. Penelitian ini menekankan pada latar belakang dan tantangan menjadi pengukir perempuan, serta peran ganda pengukir perempuan dalam keluarga pada masa krisis moneter. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendukung pengukir perempuan sebagai salah satu pilar dalam pelestarian budaya mengukir di Kabupaten Jepara. Pendekatan historis digunakan dalam penelitian ini, meliputi: heuristik, verifikasi, intrepretasi, dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa krisis moneter yang melanda Jepara tahun 1998 menimbulkan pergeseran di berbagai sendi kehidupan masyarakat, khususnya perempuan di Petekeyan.  Perempuan di Desa Petekeyan yang memilih berprofesi sebagai pengukir dilatarbelakangi oleh faktor keluarga, faktor ekonomi, serta ketertarikan pada seni ukir. Mengerjakan tugas domestik dan bekerja di waktu yang hampir bersamaan dalam upaya mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup menjadi tantangan namun juga kesempatan baru bagi kaum perempuan Desa Petekeyan. Kata kunci: krisis ekonomi, Jepara, mebel, seni ukir, dan perempuan AbstractThis research analyzes the dual role of women as housewives and furniture carvers in Petekeyan Village, Jepara. The boom phase of Jepara furniture that occurred during the 1998 Asian Finansial Crisis, opened up great opportunities for Jepara women, especially in Petekeyan Village, to be involved in working in the furniture industry. This research emphasizes on the background and challenges of being a female engraver, as well as the dual role of female engravers in the family during the monetary crisis. The research aims to support women carvers as one of the pillars in the preservation of carving culture in Jepara. A historical approach was used in this research, including: heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The results of this study show that the monetary crisis that hit Jepara in 1998 caused a shift in various aspects of people's lives, especially women in Petekeyan.  Women in Petekeyan Village who choose to work as carvers are motivated by family factors, economic factors, and interest in carving. Carrying out domestic tasks and working at the same time in an effort to maintain and improve the quality of life becomes a challenge and oppurtinity at the same time.Keywords: economic crisis, Jepara, furniture, woman
