Abstract

Homosexuals hope that society will accept their existence and no longer gives negative stigma. They also hope to receive the same treatment as heterosexuals, where they can marry their partners. This study discusses ethical, juridical and theological perspectives on same-sex marriage. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Through this research, the writer hopes that the church has an understanding and knows how to behave towards homosexuals and their demands to be able to do marriages with same-sex partners. The author also hopes that homosexuals can realize and repent that their behavior is wrong and ethically deviant, violates juridical rules and even their behavior is a sin before God.

Abstract

The issue of homosexuality continues to be debated everywhere, both in psychology, biology and in theology. Arguments are exchanged to maintain the gay and opposing views of each other. The issue of homosexual identity is even more. The gay gene is the ultimate weapon launched by pro homosexuals to provide a protective wall for homosexuals. The self-justification of homosexuality also helps to be supported by using the bible as its proponency. On this occasion, the writer raised the topic "A Christian Ethic View Of Homosexual Identity" to try to help each homosexual to realize that they had never been created in such a state. And the bible clearly says that being a homosexual is a sin (Romans 1:24-27). God has never created a person with homosexual sexual orientation, it is evident with God creating Adam and Eve from the beginning, which means that the sexual orientation God desires is heterosexual. Homosexuals then have to confess their sins before God, repent, and ask God's grace to enable them to escape the sin of homosexuality. Because God's forgiveness and grace are always available to those who will humble them to come to Him. Keywords: Christian Ethic; Homosexuality; Homosexual Identity; Gay Gene; Genetic.

Abstract

Before the ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven, He gave the commandment, a Great Commission to preach the gospel to all nations. Dani tribe is one of the tribes in Papua and is certainly one of the objectives of the evangelistic mission. And it is not only Christianity that wants to reach out there but other religions as well. To carry out this mission, in this study the author formulated how the gospel could be understood and accepted by the Dani tribe. The authors used qualitative methods with a literature study approach. Each nation has a different culture and life from each other, even if the area is in the same country, When the Gospel will be preached in that area, the evangelists must study the context of the people's lives so that the gospel can be contextualized into the culture of life of the people. The authors hope it will benefit evangelists who will carry out missions on the Dani tribe through stone-burning ceremonies, work, and daily life.

Abstract

AbstractThe changing times are so fast that it has produced a new culture in society, which is the culture of consumerism. A culture that makes people behave consumptively not based on utility but lifestyle. Market conditions that tends to be extreme in promoting their products are a problem for the community, also for believers, who are part of the church, who can get caught in the vortex of consumerism. It not only affects individuals, but also the church. The church spent most of their budget on providing luxurious and sophisticated infrastructure so that there is no budget left for evangelism, missions, and new church planting. This is a kind of another form of consumerism in the church.  In this paper, the author uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, through reference books and journals, as well as Bible verses related to the formulation of the problem, then finds for similarities that allow the author to answer this research problem. The conclusion of this study is that consumerism has entered the church, for that the church is reminded to be vigilant, critical, be firm towards consumerism and conduct an objective evaluation, so that the church returns to carrying out the Great Commission without being trapped in a consumerist culture. One of the best ways to get the church free from the trap of consumerism is to reimagine the purpose of the church's existence, which is to carry out the Great Commission and adjust the budget according to this top priority.

Abstract

- Salvation is available to all through the gospel (Rom. 1:16-17). The gospel contains God's saving act through the work of the Son of God who died, was crucified, buried, and rose again. For everyone who believes or believes in Jesus Christ the Son of God, it will obtain salvation through God's act of justification. This research provides a new understanding of the world of theology in general because it has broken the concepts of particular salvation, which are claimed by certain religions, specifically Judaism. The apostle Paul's view of salvation that can be obtained by all people without any distinction of ethnicity, culture, and religion has opened a new view of the way of salvation. Although the concept of salvation applies universally the people who are saved are only those who have been appointed to believe in Christ Jesus. The essence of the apostle Paul's teaching about salvation lies in the work of Jesus Christ, and the act of Salvation is done by none other than God Himself. Although the meaning of salvation for Paul has an inclusive element (for all who believe), the concept of salvation that he describes in Romans is exclusive. Because Paul uses his Jewish background and relates it to his understanding of God's saving act through the work of Jesus Christ. The term justification that Paul uses to describe salvation has a meaning if God as the Supreme Judge has saved people in the present and as a guarantee of salvation in the future.

Abstract

- The history of human salvation was initiated by God. God created man in God's own image and likeness, God created man for the purpose of His glory. Humans were created based on the standards that exist in God both morally and spiritually. Humans are given the power to maintain and be representatives of God over the universe. Before the devil was cast on earth, the fellowship between humans and God was good, but when humans fell into the devil's trap and followed what the devil wanted at that time the human relationship with God was cut off and humans had to face the consequences of being cut off from the source of life and being in the shadows. - shadow of death. Soteriology (the doctrine of salvation) is the broadest subject in the Bible. This is because it covers all of eternity in both the past and the future. Salvation relates to all mankind through the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ. Through this paper, the author explains twelve concepts of salvation from a Christian perspective.
