Abstract

The expansion of digital platforms has reconfigured marketing communication, positioning social media interactivity as a key mechanism for cultivating consumer loyalty. While prior studies have examined social media effects broadly, limited attention has been given to how interactive messaging functions as a distinct relational driver within platform-specific contexts. This study addresses this gap by investigating the effect of interactive social media messaging on consumer loyalty through Traveloka’s Instagram account among student consumers in Solo. Grounded in relationship marketing and engagement theory, the study employs a quantitative explanatory design. Data were collected from 100 students using purposive sampling and analyzed through simple linear regression. The findings indicate that interactive messaging exerts a strong and statistically significant positive effect on consumer loyalty (β = 0.913; t = 12.424; p < 0.05), explaining 61.2% of the variance (R² = 0.612). This suggests that interactivity—operationalized through responsiveness, dialogic communication, and participatory content—constitutes a central mechanism in strengthening consumer–brand relationships. The study advances digital marketing scholarship by demonstrating the explanatory power of interactive messaging as a measurable construct and offers practical implications for optimizing Instagram-based communication strategies in the digital travel industry.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative study evaluates the Islamic digital content strategy of Toko Tayyiba’s Instagram account in Surakarta and its impact on brand awareness. Data were collected in August 2025 through semi‑structured interviews with six informants (three active followers and three internal actors: supervisor, social media specialist, and content creator), complemented by post observations and account documentation. The analysis followed Miles’ cycle of data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing, validated through source, method, and time triangulation. Findings indicate that the consistency of Islamic identity through hijab‑wearing models and subtle Mekkah elements, combined with the application of visual hooks in the first seconds of content and entertainment‑based local comedy, successfully increased organic reach, engagement, familiarity, and strengthened Brand recognition, Brand Recall, and even Top Of Mind positioning among audiences. However, the effectiveness of this strategy remains partial due to weaknesses in product education and catalog content, including limited research depth, insufficient product details (origin, benefits, usage guidance, price transparency), and inconsistent feed aesthetics, which hinder the transition from awareness and engagement to purchase intention and sales conversion.

Abstract

Electronic Word of Mouth (e-wom) refers to a marketing communication approach that involves the dissemination of recommendations for goods and services through social media or e-commerce platforms. The objective is to exert influence on prospective shoppers by directly perusing reviews of purchasers' experiences. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of e-wom on the purchasing decisions of millennials in the Solo Raya region when it comes to fashion products available on the Shopee Marketplace. This research makes a significant contribution to the advancement of e-commerce in the fashion industry, particularly by enhancing our understanding of how customer behaviour is influenced by reviews. A total of 155 respondents were surveyed using questionnaire. The independent variables used to assess e-wom include intensity, positive valence, and content. The dependent variable indicators (Y) used to assess purchasing decisions include product selection, brand selection, purchase timing, purchase quantity, and payment method. The research finding indicates that e-wom has a substantial and favourable impact on the decision-making process when it comes to purchasing fashion products from Shopee. The three e-wom indicators collectively serve as the foundation for decision-making when purchasing items on Shopee.

Abstract

TikTok’s rapid growth has transformed how consumers access information and make purchasing decisions, particularly in the fashion industry. This study aims to examine the effects of TikTok content communication strategies and the credibility of influencer Helwa Bashel on consumers’ purchasing decisions for fashion products. Employing a quantitative approach, the study collected data through an online questionnaire administered to 100 TikTok users who had been exposed to Helwa Bashel’s fashion content. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that both TikTok content communication strategies and influencer credibility have positive and significant effects on purchasing decisions, with influencer credibility exerting a stronger influence than content communication strategies. Simultaneously, the two variables explain 64.6% of the variance in consumers’ purchasing decisions. These findings demonstrate that the effectiveness of fashion marketing on TikTok depends not only on the attractiveness and strategic quality of content but also on the credibility of the influencer delivering the message. Thus, engaging content combined with a credible influencer can strengthen consumers’ confidence and encourage purchasing decisions for fashion products through TikTok.
