Abstract

ABSTRACT Meatball is one of Indonesia's typical meat-based products. It is usually served at a high temperature, moreover, it contains high nutrient due to the high animal nutrient that is necessary for human growth. The current study aims to determine the test of bacterial contamination on meatball that are sold in the traditional market of Marisa, district of Pohuwato. Five meatball samples were taken from five different vendors, and the sample testing was done in the laboratory of the faculty of science, technology, and health on July 13th, 2020. The test included the total plate count microbial pathogens contamination and E. coli bacteria in the meatballs. The data were analyzed descriptively and presented in a tabular to illustrate the total plate count of pathogen contamination and E. coli bacteria in the meatballs. According to SNI 01-3818-1995, the maximum total plate count (ALT) of colonies/g is 0.1x102, and for the E. coli bacteria, the AMP/g is <3.0. As the results. It shows that the total microbes on the meatballs in the traditional markets of Marisa is ranged between 4.5x104 colonies/g to 2.3x105 colonies/g. It also shows that the meatballs still meet the requirement for the counts of microbial colonies, while the most probable number (AMP) of coliform bacteria is still high

Abstract

Hypertension is a cardiovascular disease characterized by high blood pressure. Hypertension if not treated properly can cause complications. Barriers to hypertension treatment are caused by several factors, namely non-compliance and lack of knowledge. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge and adherence of patients with hypertension to the use of antihypertensive drugs in the outpatient installation of RSUD M.M. Dunda Gorontalo Regency. In this study, the author uses a cross sectional analysis research design. The population in this study were all hypertensive patients in RSUD M.M. Dunda Gorontalo Regency as many as 221 people with Non Probability Sampling technique with Purposive Sampling Technique. The independent variable is the knowledge of hypertension sufferers and the dependent variable is the adherence to taking antihypertensive drugs, the instrument in this study uses a questionnaire. Data analysis used the Spearmen Rank test with a significance level of 0.05. Based on the research, it can be seen that 36 respondents (64.3%) have sufficient knowledge and 20 (35.7%) have good knowledge, in the respondents, 28 (50.0%) adherence to taking antihypertensive drugs are not obedient, 21 (37.5%) Moderately obedient, 7 (12.5%) complied with taking medication. The results of the Chi-Square test show a probability value of p value 0.393 (p> 0.05), then H1 is rejected and H0 is accepted, meaning that there is no relationship between knowledge and adherence of patients with hypertension to the use of antihypertensive drugs in the outpatient installation of RSUD MM Dunda, Gorontalo Regency.

Abstract

AbstractIn Gorontalo, there is another staple food, corn rice, which is commonly called in Gorontalo culture, Balabinde. The people of Gorontalo consider that consuming corn rice regularly can reduce blood sugar disease, so many people with diabetes are consumed it. The novelty of the study is that it analyzes the comparison of blood sugar levels after giving corn rice and white rice. This study aims to analyze the comparison between the increase in blood sugar levels before and after giving corn rice and white rice. The research method uses a Quasi-Experimental research design which is used to compare the results of the 2-hour post-prandial blood glucose level test using a glucometer. The sample was 20 UBM Gorontalo students. Each sample was carried out 2 times, namely GDP and GD2PP. All samples fasted ± 8 hours ago and measured GDP. Then the sample was divided into 2 groups of 10 people, each with a treatment in the form of feeding corn rice, and the second group was given white rice, with the addition of the same side dishes. Two hours after eating, a GD2PP examination is carried out. The blood sugar levels obtained were tested with a paired t-test or paired t-test to test the average difference between two groups that had paired data with a significant level of α = 0.05. The results of the study obtained a calculated value of 1.808, a t table value of 2.262, and a signification value of 0.10, which means that there is no significant difference where the result of the calculated t value is 1.808 and the significance value is 0.10 0.05. In conclusion, there is no difference in comparing blood glucose test results using corn rice and white rice.

This research method used a descriptive quantitative approach method. The population in this study were all patients with pulmonary tuberculosis at the Kabila Health Center as many as 23 patients. The sample used was 23 respondents using the Total Sampling technique. The results showed that the abnormal platelet levels were 14.6% and normal platelet levels were 82.6%. Patients aged 15-50 years have abnormal platelet levels (17.4%) and normal platelet levels (82.6%). Patients with an age range of >50 years had normal platelet levels (21.7%). Male patients had normal platelet levels (26.1%), while women had abnormal platelet levels (17.4%) and had normal platelet levels (56.5%). Patients weighing 30-35kg 8.7% had abnormal platelet levels, and 4.34% had normal platelet levels. At 36-45 kg of body weight, 8.7% had abnormal platelet levels and 65.2% had normal platelet levels. At 46-55 kg of body weight, 8.7% had normal platelet levels and at 56-65 kg, 4.3% had normal platelet levels. Another factor is the length of treatment. In patients with two months of treatment, 8.7% had normal platelet levels, 17.3% had abnormal platelet levels, and 74% had normal platelet levels
