Abstract

Recent research showed that the rose-like purslane (Portulaca grandiflora) magenta flower variety herbs ethanolic extract has antimicrobial potency. This research aims to determine the purslane herbs (Portulaca grandiflora) extract ointment antimicrobial potency against Staphylococcus aureus. Ointment base formulation contained of vaseline album, cera alba, adeps lanae, paraffin liquidum, cetyl alcohol, nipagin, and nipasol. Extract ointment was prepared by mixing the extract with 10, 20, and 30% concentrations into the ointment base. The antimicrobial activity test conducted in vitro using the paperdisk difussion method. The antimicrobial activity test result of the three extract concentrations of ointments showed that the 30% extract ointment had antimicrobial effect on Staphylococcus aureus with 0.81±0.03cm of clear zone. The antimicrobial activity test demonstrated that 30% purslane herbs (Portulaca grandiflora) extract ointment has a potency as antimicrobial against Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract

Garbage and flooding are environmental problems that need attention. One solution to dealing with organic waste and flooding is the creation of biopore absorption holes (LRB). Organic waste can be processed into compost with the help of soil animals such as Collembola. The number of soil animals (Collembola) in the biopore hole is influenced by the type of waste used to fill the hole. The aim of this research was to determine the abundance of Collembola in LRBs containing organic waste and animal waste. Used 9 LRBs made from perforated pralon material.  LRB group A which contains organic waste only (3 LRB), LRB B which contains organic waste and cow dung (3 LRB) and LRB C which contains organic waste and goat dung (3 LRB). The results of this research show that the LRB composting process has occurred with the help of Collembola. Four types of Collembola were found that were active in biopore infiltration holes (LRB), namely Pseudosinella sp, Ceocobrya sp, Cyphoderus sp and Isotoma sp. There were differences in the abundance of Collembola in LRB sets containing organic waste and animal waste. The Diversity Index value H' < 1, indicates that species diversity is low.

Abstract

The impact of changes during adolescence causes many problems to emerge. Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Fadil Imran revealed that in 2022 there were 323 cases of juvenile delinquency in South Jakarta (Antara News.com), 2009 Ministry of Health data occurred in 4 big cities in Indonesia (Medan, Central Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya) sexual behavior premarital sex among teenagers shows that 35.9% of teenagers have friends who have had premarital sex and 6.9% of respondents have had sex pre-wedding. One way to overcome teenage problems is to form a forum for teenagers to tell stories, exchange ideas, and convey their issues through small groups, namely the Youth Information and Counseling Center (PIK R). This community service aims to provide assistance and understanding to students about the benefits of PIK R Peer Counseling. The implementation method was carried out in 2 meetings: socialization and assistance regarding the current condition of the problem and introduction to PIK R Peer Counseling and PPKS. This community service concludes is that there are still many students at school who do not know about PIK R and its role for teenagers, and there are no peer counselors and PPKS task forces at school. Dampak adanya perubahan pada masa remaja menyebabkan munculnya banyak permasalahan. Kapolda Metro Jaya Irjen Pol Fadil Imran mengungkapkan selama tahun 2022 terdapat 323 kasus kenakalan remaja di Jakarta Selatan (Antara News.com), data Depkes tahun 2009 terjadi di 4 kota besar di Indonesia (Medan, Jakarta Pusat, Bandung, dan Surabaya) perilaku seksual pranikah dikalangan remaja menunjukkan 35,9% remaja mempunyai teman yang sudah pernah melakukan hubungan seks pranikah dan 6,9% responden telah melakukan hubungan seks pranikah. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi permasalahan remaja dibentuklah suatu wadah untuk remaja bercerita, bertukar pikiran, dan menyampaikan masalahnya melalui kelompok kecil yaitu Pusat Informasi dan Konseling Remaja (PIK R). Tujuan abdimas ini adalah memberikan pendampingan dan pemahaman kepada siswa tentang manfaat PIK R Konseling Teman Sebaya. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan 2 kali pertemuan: sosialisasi dan pendampingan kondisi permasalahannya saat ini dan pengenalan PIK R Konseling Teman Sebaya dan PPKS. Kesimpulan abdimas ini adalah masih banyak siswa di sekolah yang belum mengetahui tentang PIK R dan perannya bagi remaja, serta belum adanya konselor teman sebaya dan satgas PPKS di sekolah.

Abstract

Breadfruit is one type of versatile plant that is of economic value because itproduces fruit with a fairly high nutritional content. Breadfruit plants havediverse morphological variations, so their morphological variations can be usedas a way to determine a type of breadfruit, especially whether the quality issuperior or not. This study aims to determine the morphological variations ofbreadfruit plants (Artocarpus altilis (Parkinson) Forsberg) originating fromvillages in Bekasi City. The stages of this study include observation andobservation of morphological characters ranging from trees, leaves, flowers andfruits. Breadfruit plants in Bekasi city have an average height of ±11.5 m, withthe highest breadfruit plants reaching 12.90 m and the lowest 7.9 m, the largestbreadfruit stem circumference is 125 cm and the smallest is 98.5 cm, thelargest breadfruit canopy diameter is 4.67 m and the smallest is 6.14 m, theshape of the canopy of the Breadfruit plant in Bekasi city is irregular, pyramidsand pyramids are broad, the leaves of the Breadfruit plant in Bekasi city, ingeneral, have the same shape, namely dark green, rhombus-shaped withpinnate leaf bones, tapered leaf tips and leaf edges are enamelled, the maleflowers of Breadfruit are in the form of a whole with a diameter of up to 5 cmand a length of 45 cm consisting of many individual flowers, tubular flowerscontaining a single stamen with two anthers on thick filaments, male and femaleflowers on breadfruit plants are separated in the same plant, the morphology ofbreadfruit in the city of Bekasi has the characteristics of a rounded shape, thesurface of the skin of the fruit is prickly, if palpable it feels rough, as well aswhite fruit flesh.

Abstract

Ginger is spice plant that potential to develop to be phytopharmacon because it contains bioactive compounds, such as alkaloid, flavonoid, phenolic, triterpenoid, saponin, and essential oil, i.e., gingerol, shogaol, zingiberene, (+)-curcumene, (-)-β-sesquiphelandrene paradol, and bisabolene. These compounds can used to maintain body health. Proklim Jati Asri oversees the PKK Asman Toga, a community group enthusiastic about growing ginger to preserve the environment and reduce the greenhouse effect. The Proklim program, in partnership with the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Widya Mandala Catholic University, Surabaya, aims to provide ginger cultivation and processing training to community groups with limited knowledge and skills. This training allows them to cultivate and process ginger into semi-finished and finished products that can generate income, contribute to environmental conservation, and create herbal medicine at home. This activity was held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, and was attended by 22 participants (women from the PKK Asman Toga). The knowledge evaluation showed a 68,18% of participant increased in theirs’s knowledge. Throughout the activity, participants were highly enthusiastic, collaborated with each other to complete tasks, and actively participated in the training. The community service activity succeeded in improving the participants' abilities in cultivating and processing ginger.

Abstract

Masyarakat Kelurahan Rejomulyo Kota Madiun saat ini sedang melaksanakan Program Pekarangan Pangan Lestari (P2L), yaitu kegiatan penanaman tanaman pangan di lahan pekarangan rumah masing-masing. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra adalah bagaimana memanfaatkan sumber daya lingkungan sekitar untuk menyediakan pupuk yang murah dan alami. Dalam proses komunikasi dengan mitra, diketahui bahwa ketersediaan pupuk organik yang terjangkau menjadi kendala penting dalam mendukung program ketahanan pangan melalui budidaya tanaman pangan. Sebagai solusi, diusulkan pembuatan pupuk organik dengan memanfaatkan potensi sumber daya yang ada di Kelurahan Rejomulyo. Harapannya, wilayah ini dapat berkembang menjadi desa mandiri pupuk organik. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan meliputi pembuatan pupuk organik cair dan padat dengan menggunakan bahan tunggal berupa kotoran hewan (kohe) kambing. Hasil kuesioner mengenai pemahaman pembuatan pupuk organik cair berbahan kohe kambing menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan mitra dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 9,34%, yaitu dari skor 81,07 sebelum pelatihan menjadi 90,41 setelah pelatihan. Peningkatan ini mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat pengetahuan baru yang diperoleh mitra, sehingga menambah wawasan sekaligus keterampilan mereka dalam mengolah pupuk organik cair.
