Abstract

The outreach activity aims to ensure that the public understands the urgency and process of land registration so that it can raise public legal awareness in registering their land, especially through the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program. Preparation for socialization activities is carried out starting from determining the location to identifying legal problems in the community, then preparing socialization materials. The activity was carried out using the method of delivering socialization material to participants which was then followed by questions and answers. The activity was carried out by the community service team from the university involving students. The results of the activity were that one of the things that reduced people's interest in certifying their land was the registration procedure which felt complicated and land registration fees which were felt to be still expensive, especially if registration was carried out sporadically. The PTSL program is considered to really help the community to be able to certify their land because the government plays an active role in carrying out data collection activities on community land that has not been certified so that mass land registration can then be carried out in a village/sub-district area and the government, especially the regional government, can also help in financing the certificate processing.

Abstract

The formation of the problem of double or overlapping certificates in Indonesia is a crucial issue caused by various factors, such as weak land administration systems, invalid data, lack of physical verification, and inaccurate land boundary mapping. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause double and overlapping land certificates in Indonesia and efforts to provide legal accountability for PPATs related to the existence of double and overlapping land certificates in Indonesia. This study is a juridical-normative study with a conceptual and legislative approach. The results of the study confirm that the Land Deed Making Officer (PPAT) has legal responsibility for errors or violations committed, both in administrative, civil, and criminal aspects. The level of error of PPAT in issuing deeds related to double or overlapping certificates is the basis for determining the form of legal accountability that can be imposed. Therefore, supervision and law enforcement of PPATs are very important to ensure legal certainty and maintain public trust in land transactions.

Abstract

This article sought to nurture legal consciousness and deepen the understanding of local entrepreneurs in Sendang Mulya Sari Village of trademark protection as a fundamental legal instrument for safeguarding the identity and dignity of local products. The activity was carried out in three deliberate phases: preparation, encompassing field surveys, meaningful engagement with village authorities, and a thorough examination of the community's legal vulnerabilities; implementation, opened with a pretest to capture participants' initial grasp of trademark law; and evaluation, in which a posttest was administered to reflect upon the legal knowledge internalized following material delivery. The activity drew upon face-to-face lectures and dialogic discussions, guided by an approach that was persuasive, educational, communicative, and deeply attentive to the socio-legal realities of the community. The findings bore witness to a meaningful shift in participants' legal consciousness. Prior to the intervention, 80% of participants (n=32) demonstrated very low comprehension of trademark law as a protective legal framework. Following the intervention, 60% (n=24) attained a high level of legal understanding and 20% (n=8) reached a very high level, with no participants remaining at a low comprehension level a testament to the transformative role of community-based legal education in bridging the gap between law in the books and law in action.

Abstract

Introduction: The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has created complex legal challenges involving privacy, reputation, accountability, digital evidence, and legal certainty. Indonesia and the Netherlands provide relevant comparative contexts because both are rooted in civil law traditions but demonstrate different approaches to AI governance. Purposes of the Research: This study aims to analyze the legal politics and regulatory configuration governing AI misuse in Indonesia and the Netherlands, identify Indonesia’s regulatory gaps, and formulate a context-specific reform model based on relevant Dutch practices. Methods of the Research: This study employs normative legal research using comparative and conceptual approaches. Primary legal materials include Indonesian legislation, the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, the General Data Protection Regulation, Dutch criminal law, and relevant jurisprudence. The materials are analyzed qualitatively through deductive and prescriptive-comparative reasoning using legal politics, responsive law, risk-based regulation, and human-centric AI governance as analytical frameworks. Results Main Findings of the Research: The findings indicate that Indonesia has a predominantly development-oriented and fragmented regulatory configuration, relying on general and sectoral instruments, while the Netherlands demonstrates a more rights-centred, risk-based, and institutionally coordinated framework. Three gaps are identified in Indonesia: substantive AI-specific norms, institutional oversight, and procedural mechanisms for AI-related evidence and enforcement. This study proposes a Three-Tier Regulatory Architecture comprising AI-specific legislation as a substantive lex specialis, an AI supervisory authority, and adaptive enforcement and evidentiary mechanisms. The model provides a pathway for shifting Indonesia from reactive regulation toward responsive and anticipatory AI governance while maintaining legal certainty, rights protection, and regulatory proportionality.
