Abstract

Expressing gratitude and responding it are rare things in Indonesia. It is interesting and surprising because in the Holy Quran there are so many verses about gratitude commands, moreover, God will give Muslim more if he is grateful. But we find most Muslims who are ungrateful. Based on this problem, this article aims to elaborate the significance of expressing gratitude and its correlation to the quality of faith to God, emotion, and happiness, and interpersonal relationship using the Quran and psychology as the conceptual framework and also based on empirical findings. The conclusion of this paper underlines that the Quran and psychology have common view on gratitude. The research results that grateful correlated with intrinsic religiousness positively and with extrinsic religiousness negatively and prayer increases gratitude, prayer plays a causal role in promoting gratitude as well. It is similar with the teaching of Surah An-Nisa’ (4): 147 and Surah Luqman (31): 12. People who often say thank you have strong relationship with the other as they do not only think of their relationship to God but also to other humans. All these findings are strongly in line with the research that gratitude is correlated to fewer depressive symptoms.AbstrakMengekspresikan rasa terima kasih dan menanggapinya adalah hal yang masih langka di Indonesia. Sangat menarik dan mengejutkan, karena da-lam Al-Quran ada begitu banyak ayat tentang perintah syukur, apalagi Tu-han akan memberi lebih banyak muslim jika dia bersyukur. Tapi kami menemukan sebagian besar muslim yang tidak tahu berterima kasih. Ber-dasarkan masalah ini, artikel ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan pentingnya mengekspresikan rasa terima kasih dan korelasinya dengan kualitas iman kepada Tuhan, emosi dan kebahagiaan, dan hubungan interpersonal menggunakan Al-Quran dan psikologi sebagai kerangka kerja konseptual dan juga berdasarkan temuan empiris. Kesimpulan dari artikel ini meng-garisbawahi bahwa Al-Quran dan psikologi memiliki pandangan yang sama tentang rasa terima kasih. Hasil penelitian yang bersyukur berko-relasi dengan religius intrinsik secara positif dan dengan religiusitas ekstrinsik negatif dan doa meningkatkan rasa syukur, doa memainkan peran kausal dalam mempromosikan rasa syukur juga. Ini mirip dengan ajaran Surah An-Nisa '(4): 147 dan Surah Luqman (31): 12. Orang yang sering mengucapkan terima kasih memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan yang lain karena mereka tidak hanya memikirkan hubungan mereka dengan Tuhan tetapi juga untuk manusia lain. Semua temuan ini sangat sejalan dengan penelitian bahwa rasa terima kasih berkorelasi dengan gejala depresi yang lebih sedikit

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari tesis bahwa motivasi belajar Tarikh atau Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam pada siswa Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) terlihat rendah. Hal ini tentu akan berakibat negatif, salah satunya adalah menurunnya rasa apresiasi dan meneladani sejarah tokoh-tokoh Islam. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yang meliputi (1) menganalisis peningkatan motivasi belajar Tarikh pada siswa kelas eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah diberikan metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Compotition (CIRC) ; (2) menganalisis perbedaan motivasi belajar Tarikh pada kontrol dan kelas eksperimen setelah diberikan metode CIRC. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain eksperimen kuasi, untreated control group design pretest and posttest. Analisis statistik yang digunakan untuk menguji dua hipotesis menggunakan anava campuran atau lebih dikenal dengan Anava Mixed Design. Anava Mixed Design ini memadukan dua sub analisis yaitu Within Subject Test dan Between Subject Test. Within Subject Test merupakan pengujian perbedaan jumlah skor dalam satu kelompok (pretest dan posttest) dan Between Subject Test yaitu pengujian perbedaan skor antar kelompok. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa; 1) Tidak ada perbedaan motivasi belajar Tarikh yang signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan metode CIRC, 2) Tidak ada perbedaan motivasi belajar Tarikh secara signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol setelah metode CIRC.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the honesty education developed by Sukma Bangsa Pidie School, which has been known as an honest school in Aceh, Indonesia. The focus of this research is to discover the philosophical values and concepts of honesty education built by schools to cultivate honesty in all school community. This research employed a qualitative method by using the case study approach. The results of this research showed that honesty education could work well because philosophical values were built based on normative, academic and professional values. This philosophical value was instilled for students and for the entire school community. Furthermore, the concept of honesty education was generated in three stages, starting from foundation, school and grade level. The concept of honesty education become stronger because it was derived from the Vision, Mission, Objectives and School Programs. This research is expected to offer a new concept of honesty education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Resilience is an important ability for adolescents to have, because, without resilience, adolescents will have difficulty in living a life that results in not being able to actualize themselves, self-achievement is not optimal and tends to be pessimistic person and can even suffer from depression. The provision of group counselling services is an effort that can be made by the school to improve student school engagement. The purpose of this study was to determine the form of group counselling services in increasing student school engagement during the pandemic. This study uses a literature review method with data collection techniques, namely collecting articles and books from several online journal article bases. The findings from this study indicate that enhancing student engagement in learning at school can be done through the provision of group counselling services using an appropriate strategy.

Abstract

The rapid advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology have significantly transformed the landscape of language learning. This paper explores the integration of AI-driven tools, such as intelligent tutoring systems and chatbots, in providing personalized learning experiences and tailored feedback that cater to individual learner preferences. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, reviewing existing literature to assess both the potential benefits and challenges posed by AI in language education. Key findings reveal that while AI can enhance engagement and learning outcomes, it also raises important ethical concerns related to data privacy and the necessity for adequate teacher training. The conclusions emphasize the need for a balanced and ethical approach in adopting AI technologies to ensure they effectively support both educators and learners in the evolving educational environment.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the impact of Islamic education on the well-being of adolescents amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. The main focus is to shed light on how Islamic education can enhance school well-being for adolescents during these challenging times. The methodology employed in this article involves a comprehensive literature review. The findings highlight the positive effect of Islamic education in boosting the well-being of adolescents in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is crucial to emphasize the importance of implementing Islamic education to elevate students' school well-being. The implications of this study are anticipated to offer valuable insights for the advancement of Islamic education, particularly in the realm of Islamic psychology, as a viable solution to enhance school well-being among adolescents during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Learning during the pandemic has had many effects on elementary school students, especially for low-grade students, namely grades one, two, and three. The survey results show that at Pendowoharja Elementary School there are some students who still cannot read well and are not able to be independent in learning. This is the reason for the servants of the Islamic Education Psychology program to hold a service with the theme of IT-based learning assistance at SD Muhammadiyah Pendowoharjo. The method used ABCD (Asset Based Community) to maximize the potential assets, which includes individual assets, communities, infrastructure, community, et al. This service is intended to increase students' interest and enthusiasm for learning and to make it easier for students to understand lessons, especially in reading problems. This community dedication is also carried out by providing ozonizer machines for schools in order to maintain health protocols so that students and parents feel comfortable when their children are at school. Learning takes place in shifts arranged by the teacher and students are invited according to a predetermined schedule. This mentoring activity makes students even more enthusiastic about learning and starting to be independent. Keywords: Learning Assistance Independence, Pandemic Period, Assistance Students

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the learning process uses YouTube videos, how students learn motivation by using YouTube videos, and whether there is an influence of YouTube videos on student learning motivation in Islamic Date subjects. The research uses quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental approach. Research place at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Bantul with data collection with questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study used an independent t-test and a paired t-test. The learning process using YouTube videos is more effective because students are more interested in listening to the material displayed through YouTube videos. The results of the data analysis of this study showed that the use of YouTube videos in learning affected student learning motivation because the experimental class obtained an average of 54.08, while the control class obtained an average of 38.12. This shows that the average observation results of experimental classes using YouTube videos are higher than conventional classes that do not use YouTube videos. From the results of the one-sample t-test test data, the results showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that the use of YouTube videos in learning influences student learning motivation. By the results of the experimental and control class N-Gain, the average percentage of N-Gain class X TKRO 1 as an experiment was 57.9097% with the effective category, and class X TPM 1 obtained an average N-Gain percentage of 38.0658% with the ineffective category.

Abstract

Changes that arise due to the coronavirus afflict all sides of life. One of the new problems is the change in learning methods from face-to-face to distance learning. This study aimed to analyze the new challenges and opportunities that arise from the distance learning process during the Covid 19 pandemic in Indonesia. The research method used to collect data is through academic search engines at several specific literacy sources in Indonesia, given a deadline of 2020. The data analysis used is the content analysis paradigm with the presentation in linguistic formulations. This review found that Indonesian learners learn very quickly by means of self-regulated learning. The integration pattern of teachers, students and parents is the way to solve problems from online learning. Student creativity and independence are new opportunities for students in Indonesia.
