Abstract

The use of manufactured sand instead of natural sand in concrete can help preserve rivers or beaches where these natural sand is sourced from. The mechanical properties of these manufactured-sand concretes are comparable to those produced using natural sand. To predict and help optimize the mechanical properties of concrete made with manufactured sand, a model of ANN was developed using python 3.8 programming language in Google Colaboratory environtment. It was found that ANN model with LBFGS weight optimization algorithm and 50 hidden layer nodes has the best performance, with RMSE = 0.067081. The accuracy of prediction made with this model is calculated to be 90.58% by means of R-squared value and 95.37% by mean absolute error (MAE) value.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether the problem-based learning model can improve student learning outcomes in the subject of automotive engineering basic work in class X Automotive Body Repair Techniques (TPBO) SMK N 2 Depok, Sleman Yogyakarta. This type of research is Classroom Action Research through 2 cycles where there are four stages carried out, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection which leads to an increase in student learning outcomes. The subjects in this Classroom Action Research were class X TPBO SMK N 2 Depok even semester students. Based on data analysis and results of Classroom Action Research (CAR), it can be concluded that based on the results of student learning tests in cycle I, 8 students (25%) completed their studies, in cycle II, 29 students (90.62%) completed learning by obtaining a value of ≥ 75. Based on the results of observations of student learning activities in the first cycle, 18 students (56.25%) were in the less active category and decreased in the second cycle to 4 students (12.5%). Thus the results of the study indicate that the problem-based learning model can increase student activity and learning outcomes in the basic competence of maintaining measuring instruments in the subject of automotive engineering basic work in class X TPBO students at SMK Negeri 2 Depok, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari aproksimasi rasional dari suatu bilangan irasional dengan ketelitian yang lebih akurat menggunakan pecahan bersambung. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa studi literatur mengenai sifat-sifat pada teori bilangan yang terkait dengan pecahan bersambung. Tahapan peneltian yang pertama yaitu dilakukan pengumpulan data terkait topik penelitian dari buku dan jurnal internasional melalui hasil penelusuran menggunakan internet pada Google Scholar. Kemudian dilakukan analisis data melalui tiga tahapan yaitu data reduction (reduksi data) yang merupakan proses penyederhanaan, pemfokusan dan abstraksi, data display (penyajian data) yaitu menyusun sekumpulan informasi agar sajian data tidak menyimpang dari pokok permasalahan dan conclution/verifying (penarikan kesimpulan) merupakan usaha untuk mencari atau memahami makna, keteraturan pola-pola penjelasan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah berupa pembahasan secara mendetail terkait dengan sifat-sifat dan penerapan pecahan bersambung yang dapat mendekati bilangan irasional menuju bilangan rasional dengan tingkat ketelitian yang diinginkan sehingga nantinya dapat diperoleh bilangan rasional yang mampu mendekati bilangan irasional dengan ketelitian yang tinggi. Kesimpulannya adalah setiap bilangan rasional dapat ditulis dalam bentuk PBSH dan setiap bilangan irasional dapat ditulis dalam bentuk PBST. Galat pada pendekatan  pn/qn untuk x adalah 1/q2/n dan qn semakin membesar dengan membesarnya n. Semakin besar nilai n, konvergen pn/qn semakin mendekati x dan pendekatan rasional pn/qn untuk x lebih baik dari semua pecahan a/b untuk setiap penyebut positif bqn.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman kepada siswa tentang tes potensi skolastik dalam seleksi masuk PTN. Peserta kegiatan PkM ini adalah siswa kelas XII MAS Jabal Nur Paloh Lada, Aceh Utara. Pengabdian ini terdiri dari pelatihan kepada siswa kelas XII. Materi yang disampaikan adalah tes potensi skolastik, logika matematika, dan penalaran matematika.. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah presentasi, melakukan tanya jawab, dan pembahasan soal skolastik kepada peserta untuk memastikan peserta benar-benar mengerti tentang materi yang disampaikan. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan siswa sangat antusias terhadap materi yang disampaikan, hal ini juga berdampak pada meningkatnya pemahaman siswa terkait uji skolastik. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga memberikan manfaat kepada guru dan kepala sekolah, karen dapat membantu guru dalam memberikan penjelasan dan pemahaman kepada siswa tentang tes skolastik. Kepala sekolah berharap kegiatan ini dapat dilakukan secara berkelanjutan di masa depan, sehingga siswa mempersiapkan diri secara maksimal untuk mengikuti ujian seleksi masuk perguruan tinggi negeri.

Abstract

Kompor surya merupakan suatu perangkat yang digunakan untuk memasak atau memanaskan dengan memanfaatkan panas atau radiasi dari cahaya matahari sebagai sumber energi utamanya. Proyek ini dilakukan dengan tujuan: 1) membuat prototipe kompor surya tipe oven setengah silinder, dan 2) mengetahui performa (daya) prototipe kompor surya tipe oven setengah silinder melalui pengujian. Prototipe kompor surya tipe oven setengah silinder berhasil dibuat memiliki ukuran panjang 0,90 m, diamater 0,60 m, dan jari-jari 0,40 m dengan luas reflektor 1,1304 m2. Prototipe diuji cobakan dengan dipanaskan di bawah cahaya matahari langsung. Pengujian terhadap prototipe kompor surya tipe oven setengah silinder mampu manghasilkan performa (daya) rata-rata sebesar 140,73 x 10-3 kJ/s dan mencapai suhu maksimal sebesar 68oC dengan selang waktu paling cepat sebesar 80 menit.

Abstract

In this age of technological advancement, the process of learning in the classroom is required to be more adaptive, using various media that can enhance it. One of the learning media that can increase student’s interest is picture story media (comics). In this study, an android-based comic media was developed, called Science in Al-Qur'an (SCIQU), with material about clean and healthy lifestyles for grade V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) students. The media was developed using Research and Development (R & D) Method with ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) Model.  The media developed and the material presented in the media were validated by media expert validators and material experts. From the validation results, it was found that the media developed fell into the "Very Feasible" category with a total validity value of 95.34%. Likewise, the material presented in the SCIQU comic media is included in the "Very Feasible" category with a total validity value of 96.48%. So the SCIQU comic media that has been developed can be said to be very feasible to be implemented to MI students across the country.

Abstract

This research is a development research that aims: 1) to determine the feasibility of STEM-based physics LKPD on the developed temperature and heat material; 2) to know the improvement of students' generic science skills after using the developed STEM-based physics LKPD. The method used in this study is research and development (R &; D) with the ADDIE model. The subjects in this study were 20 students of grade XI Science 1, located in one of the schools in Bener Meriah. The data analysis techniques used to analyze each data are qualitative and quantitative values from the results of LKPD validation and student responses. The results of the research obtained are: 1) the percentage of feasibility of developing LKPD obtained from material expert validators is 87% with very feasible criteria, and the percentage obtained from media expert validators is 91% with very feasible criteria, and the percentage obtained from teacher expert validators is 96% with very feasible criteria; 2) the results of student responses in the usage trial obtained a percentage of 92% with very interesting criteria; 3) STEM-based physics LKPD is stated to improve students' generic science skills with an N-Gain value of 0.61 or 61% with the criterion "moderate". So it can be concluded that STEM-based physics LKPD can be used in the learning process. Keywords: Generic Science Skills, LKPD, STEM

Abstract

Scientific literacy is scientific knowledge that is used to identify various questions and draw conclusions based on facts. Based on the interview results, students' scientific literacy abilities were not optimal, this research was conducted with the aim of finding out the effect of the inquiry training model assisted by Assembler media on students' scientific literacy abilities. This research is quantitative research using quasi-experimental research and a nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique chosen was a total sampling of 48 students, namely 24 students in class XI-IPA 1 as the control class and 24 students in class XI-IPA 2 as the experimental class. The instruments used in this research used non-test instruments in the form of interviews and test instruments in the form of pretest and posttest questions in the form of essays totaling 10 questions. Meanwhile, data analysis uses prerequisite tests which include normality, homogeneity and hypothesis testing. The research results showed that the average scientific literacy pretest score for the experimental class, namely class XI-IPA 2, was 35.21 with a posttest score of 76.46, while the control class, namely class the results of the statistical hypothesis test obtained a Sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 with a significance level of 0.05. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the inquiry training model assisted by assembler media on students' scientific literacy abilities.
