Abstract

The relationship between temperature and humidity of the environment with visibility of mirage has been studied by observing mirage on the runway of Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport (SIM) Aceh, Indonesia. Temperature and humidity data were obtained from the Blang Bintang Meteorological Station database, Aceh Besar, Aceh, Indonesia. The observation shows that the mirage has been found since 07.00 AM in the morning until the afternoon at 18.00 PM, even until sunset. Mirage is also still visible when the weather is cloudy or drizzling, but disappears when heavy rain. The lowest and highest temperatures where the mirage can still be observed are 26 0C and 32 0C, respectively. Meanwhile, the lowest and highest air humidities where mirages can still be observed are 51 % and 92 %, respectively. Observation shows that changes in temperature and humidity in the runway environment greatly affect the appearance and visibility of mirages. When the air temperature is high and the humidity is low, the mirage appears with high visibility (very thick), so that it can be observed clearly. Conversely, when the air temperature is low and the humidity is high, the mirage appears with low visibility (very thin) or almost non-existent or completely gone

Abstract

Pembelajaran dikelas dapat berjalan dengan baik jika proses pembelajaran juga berjalan dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa terhadap penerapan media Word Square dalam pembelajaran kimia pada materi struktur atom, mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan media Word Square pada materi struktur atom dan mengetahui respon siswa terhadap penerapan media Word Square dalam pembelajaran kimia pada materi struktur atom. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi, tes berupa pre-test dan post-test dan angket respon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Aktivitas belajar siswa terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran word square pada materi struktur atom sangat baik, berturut-turut sebesar 79,17 dan 83,00. (2) Hasil belajar siswa terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran word square pada materi struktur atom yaitu sebesar 92,59. (3) Respon siswa terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran word square pada materi struktur atom sangat positif, yaitu sebesar 91,66 dan respon negatif yaitu sebesar 8,33.

Abstract

Community service activities have been carried out at SD Negeri 9 Dewantara. This service program aims to introduce basic measuring tools to improve and support student science learning which starts from grade IV of Elementary School. The basic measuring tool introduced is the measuring tool for length. The material presented includes names, functions and how to use ruler measuring instruments, calipers, and screw micrometers. The introduction of measuring instruments with the inquiry method or direct practice is proven to improve students' science process skills. This is because students are actively involved in every learning process.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to explain the use and benefits of the Mendeley application to prospective teachers. This activity was carried out for two days from 5-6 June 2023. The stages of this activity consisted of the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. The community service activities that have been carried out have succeeded in increasing the knowledge and understanding of participants in using and utilizing the Mendeley application for writing scientific papers.

Abstract

Menghadapi era globalisasi di abad 21  mahasiswa harus memiliki beberapa soft skill yang akan mereka implementasikan kedalam dunia kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis soft skill apa saja yang dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa di abad 21. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei dengan menggunakan desain cross sectional survei. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 105 mahasiswa  yang terdiri dari 35 mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Kimia, 30 mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Fisika, dan 40 mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Matematika. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 10 soft skill teratas yaitu  1) literasi komunikasi; 2) pemecahan masalah; 3) kerja tim;  4)  bertanggung jawab dan akuntabilitas; 5) etika profesional; 6) berpikir kritis dan  logis; 7) kreativitas dan inovasi; 8) adaptasi ; 9) belajar seumur hidup; dan 10) kepemimpinan.

Abstract

Kompor surya merupakan suatu perangkat yang digunakan untuk memasak atau memanaskan dengan memanfaatkan panas atau radiasi dari cahaya matahari sebagai sumber energi utamanya. Proyek ini dilakukan dengan tujuan: 1) membuat prototipe kompor surya tipe oven setengah silinder, dan 2) mengetahui performa (daya) prototipe kompor surya tipe oven setengah silinder melalui pengujian. Prototipe kompor surya tipe oven setengah silinder berhasil dibuat memiliki ukuran panjang 0,90 m, diamater 0,60 m, dan jari-jari 0,40 m dengan luas reflektor 1,1304 m2. Prototipe diuji cobakan dengan dipanaskan di bawah cahaya matahari langsung. Pengujian terhadap prototipe kompor surya tipe oven setengah silinder mampu manghasilkan performa (daya) rata-rata sebesar 140,73 x 10-3 kJ/s dan mencapai suhu maksimal sebesar 68oC dengan selang waktu paling cepat sebesar 80 menit.

Abstract

Experiments have been carried out to study the refractive index of well water using the principle of refraction of a laser beam on a hollow prism. The Eksperimen telah dilakukan untuk mengkaji indeks bias air sumur dengan menggunakan prinsip pembiasan berkas laser pada prisma berongga. Sampel air yang digunakan adalah air sumur yang diambil dari tiga wilayah pesisir Aceh, yaitu Tibang, Uleelheue dan Kaju. Air diambil dari 3 sumber air yang berbeda untuk setiap wilayah wilayah tersebut. Pengukuran awal dilakukan pada aquades (air terdistilasi) untuk melihat keakuratan dari penggunaan prisma berongga yang terbuat dari kaca komersial. Sampel air dimasukkan kedalam prisma berongga yang terbuat dari kaca komersial dengan sudut apit 450. Berkas laser helium neon dengan panjang gelombang 564 nm diarahkan ke prisma berongga sehingga mengalami refraksi. Hasil pengukuran ditemukan bahwa indeks bias air yang diambil dari sumber air diwilayah pesisir memiliki indeks bias yang relatif tidak jauh berbeda. Hasil pegukuran pada sampel aquades diperoleh indeks bias 1,33, hasil tersebut sama dengan pengukuran dengan menggunakan alat refraktometer Abbe. Sementara pengukuran indeks bias air yang diambil dari tiga wilayah pesisir yaitu berkisar antara 1,341-1,349. Nilai indeks bias air juga dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kandungan mineral dan tingkat keasinan.

Abstract

This service activity was carried out in the assisted villages of Malikussaleh University, namely Aceh Utara Regency (Payah Gaboh, Reuleut Timu, Reuleut Barat, and Cot Keumuneng Villages), Lhokseumawe City (Blang Pulo, Padang Sakti, Uteun Kot and Lancang Garam Villages). The funeral management training activity (Tajhiz Al-Mayyit) aims to provide education and practice to the community in terms of proper funeral management and following Islamic law. This activity was motivated by several partner problems, namely Lack of knowledge of partners (community) regarding Funeral Management and partners need training in the form of education and assistance to improve skills regarding Funeral Management. The method of implementing the activity consists of 2 stages, namely socialization; in the form of education on funeral management as fardhu kifayah. Workshop in the form of the practice of Funeral Management. This training activity was attended by representatives of each village appointed by their respective villages. The results of this activity can increase people's knowledge and skills regarding the Tajhiz Mayyit process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran SSCS terhadap pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada materi termodinamika. Subjek penelitian yaitu kelas XI MIA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan masing-masing kelas berjumlah 25 peserta didik. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan memberikan tes pilihan berganda pada materi hukum termodinamika berupa pre-test dan post-test. Teknik menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pre-test kelas eksperimen adalah 32,00 dan kelas kontrol 33,40. Kemudian, rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen yaitu 81,80 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol yang tidak menggunakan model pembelajaran SSCS memiliki nilai 68,60. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis dengan uji Independent Samples T-Test diperoleh Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran SSCS terhadap pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada materi termodinamika kelas XI MAN Kota Lhokseumawe.

Abstract

Information and communication technology should be integrated into the learning process to enhance the quality of education. One of the technologies that can be utilized is Augmented Reality (AR). AR media can help students learn complex concepts through interactive 3D visualizations of science topics. In the study, a science learning media based on mobile Augmented Reality (AR) technology was developed using the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). This study aimed to validate the feasibility and practicality of mobile augmented reality (AR) based science learning media. Lecturers, teachers, and students tested the feasibility and practicality of the media. The media validation test conducted by two lecturers resulted in a score of 92.26%, while the subject matter validation test by lecturers and students yielded a score of 97.84%. The developed AR media was also classified as highly practical, with the teacher and student questionnaires scoring 91.07% and 88.33%, respectively. The validity assessments of this AR media indicate that both the media and the subject matter fall into the "Highly Feasible" and "Highly Practical" categories for use as science learning media in elementary schools. The students response to using this media in learning is very good. Students are enthusiastic about participating in learning and enhancing their curiosity.
